I walk toward Lanny's room, pushing the door open just enough to peek inside.
He's curled up under his blanket, one tiny hand clutching the corner of his stuffed bunny, his chest rising and falling in that steady rhythm that only babies seem to master.
The night-light casts a soft golden glow over his face, turning his eyelashes to little shadows on his cheeks.
