Chapter 100 - Chapter : 65.3

[Tony flew down at extreme speed and quickly approached the falling crowd. Grabbing one of them, Tony comforted: "Slow down, slow down, relax, what's your name?"]

[Tony saw the work card on her and said quickly, "Heather. Listen to me, see that guy? I'll swing by and you'll grab him, you got it?"]

[As soon as he finished speaking, he rushed towards the man.]

In the Administration room, the director watched the tense scene unfold. Nervousness overtook him, and he rose to his feet. Around him, over a dozen staff members stared intently at the screen.

"Is Tony planning to bring more people?" a thought flickered through everyone's mind.

[Suddenly, a loud explosion erupted, and the plane in the sky detonated in a fiery blast.]

[Tony calmly said to Heather, "You can do it, Heather."]

[Heather reached out and tried to grab the man. In his horrified scream, the man tried many times before Heather grabbed him.]

[Tony said, "See? Eleven more to go."]

[Under the strong thrust of the Mark 42, Tony took the two and flew to the third, "Remember game, barrel of monkey? That's what we are going to do!"]

[Jarvis warned: "18,000 feet!"]

[Tony hurriedly said, "Come on, people, grab your monkeys!"]

[High above, amid debris from a crashing plane, people linked arms one after another, forming a perfect chain.]

The crowd watched in awe.

"Damn!"

"He's trying to save them all!"

"In such a crisis, how did Tony come up with this method?"

"Wow, my heart's pounding!"

"How many are left? Keep going!"

"The altitude is dropping rapidly! Speed up! Otherwise, with the gravity's acceleration, they'll drop and get hurt for sure!"

The daring rescue at such an altitude was nerve-wracking; everyone's heart pounded, adrenaline surging.

[Tony saw multiple people holding onto each other and shouted, "Nice!"

[Jarvis announced in real-time, "10,000 feet."

["6,000 feet!" came the next update as another was caught.

["Come on, people! Keep it up, come on, come on!"]

["1,000 feet!" Jarvis's tone grew tense.]

[From this vantage point, they could even see the sea below.]

In the director's office, a physicist solemnly explained, "Jumping into water from ten meters high can cause unconsciousness. At this altitude, even water would turn you into mincemeat instantly!"

[Jarvis continued broadcasting altitude updates: "200 feet."]

["Let's get him!" Tony shouted urgently.]

[Everyone held their breath. As the last person was about to fall into the sea, Tony finally caught him. Tony yanked upward, slowing the descent. One by one, everyone fell safely into the water, the danger behind them. The tense rescue had concluded perfectly.]

The audience in the live broadcast room exhaled collectively, relieved.

"God! So nerve-wracking!"

"I could hardly breathe just now!"

"It's incredible!"

Tony looked back at the crowd on the shore.

Scanning devices confirmed everyone was safe.

Tony chuckled, "Great job! Amazing teamwork!"

Everyone had cooperated flawlessly.

["Okay, Jarvis, we're only halfway done, we've got to get to Pepper." Tony was about to speed away when suddenly a truck came rushing from the side track and hit him. The suit disintegrated, and the parts were scattered all over the floor. There was no Tony in the suit.]

[On the ship, Tony, who was carrying the remote control device, breathed a sigh of relief, "That came out of nowhere."]

The director and crew looked startled.

Johan clutched his chest. "Thought he was done for. Turns out, it's remotely controlled."

[Rhodes opened the door and said, "Give me some good news, man?"]

[Tony responded: "All rescued, but the president was caught."]

[Rhodes said, "You can't save Pepper dressed like this."]

[Tony nodded, then said to Jarvis, "Jarvis, it is time."]

[Jarvis said: "The house party protocol, sir?"]

[Tony said: "That's right!"]

The viewers were puzzled.

"A house party? What's the plan?"

"Did Tony really plan this ahead?"

The councilors exchanged glances.

Councilor Hyeon said, "The Weber Space Telescope was successfully launched. Now, let's see what the data reveals."

Many nodded, hopeful yet anxious.

"Right now, we're eager to see results. But we're also worried about what we might find," Hyeon added wryly.

The scene grew confusing. Councilor Gladwin tapped the table, proposing, "If we gain valuable intel, I suggest elevating the Immigration Program to the highest priority."

Councilor Sith looked surprised. "You mean, the Wandering Earth Project?"

They all exchanged uncertain looks.

Gladwin nodded. "Exactly, that's the Wandering Earth Project."

Yaoyan frowned. "We can't start that lightly. It would have enormous ecological impacts. Let's discuss again."

The screen shifted.

[Back at the villa where Tony was hit by missiles earlier, workers were clearing debris. Suddenly, a massive passage opened, revealing glowing lights inside.]

"What?! Are these... Tony's suits?"

"Hey! The plan was to bring these suits together?"

"I don't get it. So many suits in the basement. What's the party?"

"I see, Tony must have prearranged teams to wear these suits and help him!"

"Wow, Tony really left a backup plan!"

"Haha, I wonder who will wear these suits next."

The audience buzzed with excitement again. The tense high-altitude rescue had showcased the formidable power of the Mark 42. Meanwhile, Tony, though anxious earlier, prepared more suits; more varied types were likely coming.

At Essen Heavy Industries, Astor and colleagues stared at the glowing points of light with anticipation. This had immense research significance for them.

[In a large factory, Pepper was strapped into a device. As the staff injected a drug, Pepper suddenly awoke. Killian approached, eyeing her.]

[Pepper gasped, "Do you think he'll help you? Impossible."]

[Killian held the equipment, smirking. "I didn't bring you here to stimulate Tony. There's an even more humiliating purpose... You are mine."]

[Killian's excitement was evident. Pepper closed her eyes and turned away.]

[Suddenly, the Patriot soared overhead. Killian chuckled, "Good evening, sir."]

[The suit opened, and the president collapsed to his knees. Pepper's eyes widened in shock.]

"Not good! Pepper and the president are under Killian's control!"

"His plan has succeeded."

"This is terrible. Killian's city is so deep."

"The ship is massive, and Killian's a true terrorist."

"It's over, Tony. Don't take this risk alone."

[Dim lighting revealed Tony and Rhodes approaching the ship's side. Two armed figures silently climbed aboard. They moved swiftly, but in the sky, the president was tied up, and Rhodes panicked.]

[Under the cover of night, they hurried upward. Suddenly, enemy gunfire rang out; they'd been spotted.]

[Tony's magazine clicked empty. "Out of ammo. Do you have any?"]

[Rhodes shook his head helplessly. "Nope."]

[Tony looked up and back. "What did you see?"]

[Leaning against a container, Tony squatted. "Three men, one woman, all armed."]

[A thumping sound behind him. The four enemies approached. Tony and Rhodey quickly stood, Rhodey ready to shoot. But they saw the enemies had orange-red lines on their bodies.]

"Damn! They're all desperate virus people."

"How many of Killian's soldiers are left?"

"This is it. They're unarmed, just guns, they can't beat them."

"I still don't know where Mark 42 is."

The chief frowned. The experts watched helplessly, almost despairing.

Kasey sighed, "Are we doomed to die?"

On the training ground, Ren and the others observed the four attackers. They shook their heads.

Elenora said, "No suits, no weapons left. It's almost impossible to win."

Aldice added, "If only we had the Patriot suit."

Yan Liu said, "It's too high; by the time they find the suit, they'd be dead."

The scene on the ship seemed hopeless.

[Rhodes clenched his teeth. "I'd kill for some armor right now."]

[Tony remained calm. "You're right. We need backup."]

[Rhodes exclaimed, "A bunch!"]

[Tony looked ahead. "You know what."]

[Rhodes frowned, following his gaze. "Is that…"]

[Tony confirmed, "Yep."]

[Rhodes couldn't believe it. "Are those...?"]

[Tony simply said, "Yep."]
