Chapter 149 - Chapter : 102 : The Original Stone Of Time

Although Mordo eventually left them, Dormammu's threat had also been resolved. Strange and the others returned to the Sanctum, heading to where the Eye of Agamotto was kept. Strange glanced at his hands, still shaking. After a pause, he finally placed the Eye of Agamotto back in its original position.

Strange, "Yeah, okay."

Wong walked over and said, "Wise choice. You'll wear the Eye of Agamotto once you have mastered its power. Until then… best not to walk the street wearing an Infinity Stone."

Strange asked in surprise, "A what?"

Wong didn't answer directly. Instead, he said, "You might have the gift for the mystic arts, but you still have much to learn. Words of the Ancient One's death will spread through the multiverse. Earth has no Supreme Being to defend it. We must be ready."

Strange replied calmly, "We will be ready."

The two walked into the portal behind them.

The audience in the livestream could no longer stay calm.

"This is an Infinity Stone?!"

"Damn! I was just wondering what it was, turns out it's an Infinity Stone!"

"What was going on in the Terra era? Why did all these things end up on Earth?"

"Count it be the cosmic cube, the Mind Stone on Vision's head, the Aether, and now the Time Stone from the Eye of Agamotto."

"There are only six Infinity Stones, and four showed up on Earth. That's insane!"

"It's one of the strongest stones too, the power inside is cataclysmic!"

"So this is the Time Stone?"

"Right now on Earth, both the Time Stone and Mind Stone are intact… feels like something big is coming!"

"I still don't get why the Earth era attracts Infinity Stones so much!"

"Any geologists want to explain?"

"You mean there's something wrong with Terra?"

"Honestly… feels like there's a high chance something's off."

In the Administration.

Experts were equally astonished.

After recording everything in his notebook, Johan raised his head and said, "I didn't expect the Eye of Agamotto to actually be the Time Stone. And Wong also mentioned that the death of the Ancient One would attract attention from the multiverse. I'm afraid that purple monster is the most dangerous among them."

Things they had previously inferred were now becoming clearer. This might truly be the near future.

Hawking frowned. "What exactly is the structure of the Infinity Stones? How can it reverse time?"

From a physics perspective, the universe should obey laws. But the abilities of these Infinity Stones… were incredible.

Xiaotian said, "I think it would help more if we knew what timelines the Ancient One saw when observing the future. Most likely, in the timeline she observed… There is progress in the current Terra Federation era."

His words stunned everyone. No one had considered that before.

The director muttered, "Did the Ancient One actually see the Terra Federation's future?"

The terrifying power of the Infinity Stones became even clearer. But what followed was an even greater sense of crisis.

Tonio said solemnly, "The Avengers guard against physical threats. The Supreme Being guards against magical threats. Now the Avengers are half-disbanded, and the Supreme Being is gone, but external threats to Earth won't stop."

Johan suddenly raised his eyebrows, "Perhaps… It's not about Earth itself?"

Everyone looked at him. He glanced at his notes and said, "We previously concluded that the entire Earth era is a chain of major events connected by the appearance of these stones. The Cosmic Cube was also targeted before. Perhaps the attacks on Earth are because of the Infinity Stones themselves. For powerful things, humans want to study them, and other cosmic forces covet them even more."

The director was stunned, "Possession invites danger?"

Johan nodded. Two Infinity Stones with immense power are on Earth. Anyone who knows that… would come for them.

The director smiled bitterly, "One crisis after another… It's overwhelming."

The screen suddenly flickered, as if searching for a new scene. The audience held their breath in anticipation.

"In the previous captures, everything seemed closely related to Tony."

"Not just related, it's like memories from people close to him."

"Yeah, it's been consistent."

"This capture lasted a long time. Impressive endurance."

"What about the Avengers?"

"They and the Sanctuaries protected Earth back then. I wonder if Terra has something similar now."

"We have to trust the government."

"The Avengers splitting up is heartbreaking."

"With everything revealed so far… that purple monster is definitely coming."

"It spans time and space, even affecting us now. That says a lot about its power."

"The Time Stone will definitely be key in the future."

"Not just that, the Mind Stone on Vision too."

"Wait, here it comes!"

"The image is stabilizing!"

"I wonder what memory we'll see this time."

"Huh? Is that… Thor?"

The image finally stabilized, but what they saw surprised everyone.

Thor was bound in chains, lying on a metal platform. He looked up at the sky with a faint smile, "Now I know what you're thinking. Oh no… Thor's in a cage. How did this happen? Well, sometimes you have to get captured just to get a straight answer out of someone. It's a long story, but basically, I'm a bit of a hero. See, I spent some time on Earth... fought some robots, saved the planet a couple of times. Then I went searching through the cosmos… for some magic, colorful Infinity Stones thing. Didn't find any. That's when I came across a path of death and destruction... Which led me all the way here to this cage... Where I met you."

Thor raised his head slightly and glanced downward. At his feet lay a skeleton, long since dead. Thor's chattering is like venting his emotions. It's like talking to himself when he's bored.

The audience in the live broadcast room held their breath. The brand-new past life screen captures Thor's traces again. And from what Thor just said, this would be an unusual sight.

In a dark and terrifying environment, the jaw of the skeleton fell. Thor continued calmly, "Hmm. How much longer do you think we'll be here?"

After he finished speaking, the iron cage suddenly opened. Thor suddenly fell from above. Chains dropped and hung in the air, causing Thor to spin in midair. When turning to the front, he saw a flame man sitting on a stone chair. The flame man has two huge horns on his head.

The horned flame man sneered: "Thor, son of Odin."

Although the horned flame man can't see the expression, the teasing and mocking in the tone were extremely obvious.

When Thor saw him, he immediately cursed: "Surtur, son of a bitch. You're still alive!"

With the rope hanging down, Thor spun and said with a smile, "I thought my dad killed you like a half a million years ago!"

Surtur said indifferently, "I cannot die. Not until I fulfill my destiny and lay waste to your home."

Thor responded: "It's funny you should mention that. Because I've been having these terrible dreams as of late. Asgard up in flames, falling into ruins. And you, Surtur, are at the center of them all."

Surtur stared at him and said, "Then you have seen Ragnarok, the Fall of Asgard! The great prophecy..."

The impassioned Surtur was talking when Thor interrupted very inappropriately: "Hang on. I will be back around shortly."

With a creaking sound, Thor, because of the rotation of the rope, had his back facing Surtur. Now it is gradually turning around again. "I really feel like we were connecting there. Okay, so Ragnarok. Tell me about that. Walk me through it."

Thor turned around and looked at Surtur. Surtur kept the same pose, and he said: "My time has come. When my crown is reunited with the eternal flame... I shall be restored to my full might!"

The flames on Surtur surged, "I will tower over the mountains and bury my sword deep in Asgard..."

In an awkward atmosphere, Thor interrupted again: "Oh, hang on. Give it a second."

Squeaky, Thor turned his back on him again, "I swear I'm not even moving. It's doing it on its own. I am really sorry."

Surtur stares indifferently, and Thor added, "Okay, let me get this straight. You are going to put your crown into the eternal flame... And then you'll suddenly grow big as a house!?"

Surtur said angrily: "A mountain!"

Thor asked: "The eternal flame that Odin keeps locked away on Asgard?"

Surtur sneered: "Odin is not in Asgard. And your absence has left the throne defenseless."

Thor said, "Okay, so where is it? This crown?"

Surtur pointed to the horns above his head, "This is my crown! The source of my power!"

Thor was surprised: "Oh, that's a crown. I thought it was a big eyebrow."

Surtur punched the chair: "It's a crown!"

Thor continued: "Anyway, it sounds like all I have to do to stop Ragnarok is rip that thing off your head."

Surtur laughed and stood up, causing large chunks of flaming ash to fall from his body. "But Ragnarok has already begun. You cannot stop it."

Surtur staggered toward Thor. Holding a flaming sword, he grabbed the chains and lifted him up, "I am Asgard doom, and so are you. All will suffer, all will burn."

Thor said, "Oh, that's intense. To be honest, seeing you grow really big and set fire to a plamet would be a spectacle."

Thor smiled: "But it looks like I am gonna have to choose option B, where I bust out of these chains, knock that tiara off your head, and stash ot away in Asgard's vault."

Surtur burned with rage. "You can't stop Ragnarok. Why fight it?"

"Because that is what heroes do," Thor looked at Surtur, and his hands opened behind him, summoning the Hammer. The Hammer did not fly, and Thor paused slightly, "Hmm. Wait, I am sorry, I didn't get that timing right."

Then Surtur noticed, and Thor grinned: "And now."

Boom! Thor's Hammer flew over like a silver streak. Thor grabbed it and freed himself from the chains.

Surtur stood up angrily: "You have made a grave mistake, Odinson."

Thor smiled: "I make grave mistakes all the time."

Roar! In the dark world, a massive dragon emerged and roared at Thor.

Thor said, "Everything seems to work out."

Countless monsters rushed toward him, but Thor swung his hammer, and every monster it touched shattered. The hammer spun automatically, and everything within range was destroyed. As more monsters charged, Thor leapt high. Lightning surged across the hammer, and then he slammed it down.

Boom! All monsters were annihilated. The ground cracked under thunder, and lightning flashed unstoppable.

Inside the Administration.

Tonio couldn't help but say, "The Twilight of the Gods? Isn't Asgard the realm of the gods? Will it really be destroyed?"

Hawking frowned: "If we look at the cosmic structure of that era, Asgard played a critical role. If it's destroyed, it's like losing a major protector of Earth."

Everyone nodded. Thor came from the realm of the gods, and he had greatly helped Earth before. People wondered, if another invasion came, would Asgard still be able to support them? But Surtur had said firmly, Ragnarok cannot be stopped. A shadow fell over everyone.

The director rubbed his temples. "Twilight of the Gods… It shouldn't really come…"
