After bathing Elena grabbed on a casual dres to see Carl and Valerie out ,he insisted he didn't want to stay home today so Val asked him to tag along .Elena went into the kitchen, trying to make breakfast while Anya darted between rooms like a miniature tornado. Dominic was half-dressed, standing in the living room, trying to figure out which tie matched the ridiculous "Daddy's Day" badge Anya had insisted he wear.
"Red or blue?" he asked, holding both up.
"Neither," Elena said without looking up from the pancakes. "You're wearing a polo. You don't need a tie."
"But I'm trying to look like a responsible parent," he countered.
"Then try not to curse in front of the teachers," she shot back, sliding a plate of eggs across the counter.
Anya giggled from the doorway. "Mommy said curse!"
Dominic grinned. "Your mommy's breaking her own rules."
Elena turned and glared. "And your daddy's still talking."
That shut him up mostly.
