Su Yu watched Sasuke in the scene, heart heavy with emotion. In his eyes, Uchiha Itachi—a ninja with skewed values—was nevertheless a hero poisoned by the "Will of Fire."
The Will of Fire, at its core, is simple: the village is everything. Its interests outweigh personal feelings, and the top brass enforce this ideology to maintain order.
But this "loyalty to the village" often becomes brainwashing. Shinobi who defy it—like Shigeru Qiki, who failed a mission to save his comrades—were punished harshly, even driven to suicide, despite doing nothing wrong.
Naruto, too, defied this false Will of Fire to save Sasuke. He would gladly give up the title of Hokage if it meant protecting a friend.
The essence of Konoha is people, not empty rules or politics. Even if the village falls, Konoha lives on in its people.
Itachi, however, was poisoned by a distorted version of the Will of Fire, imposed by corrupt higher-ups. He carried out extreme acts—like the Uchiha clan massacre—under false pretenses. The real root cause: Konoha politics gone awry.
Had the Uchiha clan survived without interference, many tragedies—like Itachi's forced actions—might have been avoided. Figures like Danzo caused more harm than their supposed political "contributions." If Konoha had been stronger and less politically fractured, no enemy could have threatened the village, and the Uchiha would have thrived.
Ultimately, the suffering was the result of incompetent politics, not true loyalty or morality.
Above Konoha
A white light shot into the sky, revealing an inscription:

"Bang!" An elderly white-haired man burst in. "Tsunade! I… enter!"
Tsunade, seated cross-legged, looked up. "Jiraiya… do you know something?"
"I've found the hiding place of the Akatsuki leader," Jiraiya replied.
Tsunade stood, hands on the table. "What!? Tell me everything in detail!"
Shizune, serious, added: "Based on this, we must plan a surprise attack immediately."
Zilai waved a hand. "Patience! Don't rush."
Tsunade, fuming, yelled: "This isn't a novel sequel! How can you be so leisurely?"
Jiraiya smiled. "Especially when taking such a big risk… How about a quick drink? Just the two of us, long overdue."
Inside Konoha, the twelve young shinobi were aghast.
"What the hell is this white-haired old man doing?" Naruto fumed. "Disrespecting Tsunade-sama!"
Sakura glared. "And staring at her… in that kind of place?!"
Ino frowned. "Strange… but familiar?"
Shikamaru muttered: "That white-haired man… the toad sage… the perverted immortal?"
"Seriously?" someone asked. "Can Tsunade-sama really go drinking with him?"
"I don't think so! She's Hokage!"
Kakashi coldly replied, "No. Tsunade-sama wouldn't go drinking. I trust her judgment."
Maitkayden laughed. "Ah! Kakashi, you're my worthy opponent in this debate!"
