Chapter 57 - Li - Part.1

A week had passed since Ringo arrived. During that time, he had had a lot of work with the entire Germinal allocation.

The bases on the Six Nations side were abandoned.

Even the spies, knowing Han Xiao, knew them all, so he simply began placing new spies in different areas while slowly removing the others.

On Andrea's side, he abandoned the current bases and created new ones in different locations, with the size of Andrea's territory, they would be impossible to find.

Of course, the costs of this were tremendous, but Germinal's financial base was strong enough, plus there was plenty of cheap labor, meaning brainwashed mobs that didn't need to be paid.

He quickly grew frustrated with all this bureaucracy and let his clone take over again.

His nights, on the other hand, were filled with activity.

He visited Hila and Emma's room every night.

First with Emma, where he wanted to talk to her, but in the end, he could never say anything, so they just stared at each other in the dream. It was really uncomfortable, but it seemed to quiet his subpersonality, so he still did it every night.

With Hila, it was different, he practically slept in her room now.

Hila seemed a little uncomfortable at first, but she was getting used to it.

She no longer glared at him and even when he was affectionate with her, she only pretended not to like it, staying quiet and letting him play with her body.

He used his energy not only to heal her now, but also to let her evolve and improve continually. Hila noticed this, and eventually, she began to crave it.

Of course, even though he was affectionate after the event, beforehand he had to be tough.

He tried being gentle with her once, and he noticed that her emotions were much less intense. Even though she didn't dislike it, it seemed monotonous to her, so he stopped holding back.

Hila liked rough love. She didn't just like being spanked, she liked being hit. So sex usually began with a martial arts fight and ended with a struggle on the bed, where she scratched, bit, and tried to dominate him.

She failed horribly, but that was the interesting part for Ringo, she never gave up.

He eventually discovered that he was extremely compatible with Hila in this regard, he loved this kind of rough sex, they were like two wild animals.

With this, Hila was getting closer and closer, to the point that even when he tried to kiss her normally during the day, she didn't shy away.

It was still a little far from complete reciprocation, but he knew he would get there.

Of course, things were a bit complicated with Lena and Eva, Will and Jack were with them during this time.

Lena was very busy with the technical side of Hell, now that she had become general director of the organization's mechanical side. Eva, on the other hand, was in charge of the troops, training with the soldiers every day.

Ringo wanted to leave Hila in charge of this, but she refused. She wanted to focus on getting stronger and taking care of her sister, who, by the way, Ringo had been wanting to meet.

He was a little confused that Hila wouldn't let him meet her sister, but when he broached the subject, Hila finally, after much insistence, said she didn't want her sister to know about the agreement between them.

Ringo had forgotten about the agreement by that point and even though he knew Hila accepted him because of it, he still felt like the woman was really starting to open up to him emotionally, so he didn't feel so guilty anymore.

So he promised her he wouldn't say anything about the arrangement. Instead, he hoped Hila would forget about it and be his wife willingly, not by some agreement. He even said that if she wanted to stop this now, he wouldn't force her to continue.

Of course, this was true. Even though it hurt a lot, he meant it. What he didn't say was that he would never give up on her and would win her back if she would let him.

Hila looked at him silently for a long time. Ringo doesn't know if it was just his imagination, but the sex afterward was a little less violent and Hila seemed more passionate.

He doesn't know if Hila really believed him, but at least she seemed to believe him. So Ringo would have lunch with Aurora and Hila the next day.

His relationship with Eva and Lena had been on hold for a while because of work. He also felt they were acting a little strange after he met Emma, but he didn't have time to deal with that beforehand.

Now that he was free, the first thing he did was... look for Li.

Li is currently living in a luxurious room while enjoying his old age in peace, but Ringo has never forgotten that man.

But Li wasn't surprised to see him, because he waved when he opened the door. -You finally came, brat, how's the relationship with that little girl going?

Ringo paused for a moment and realized he was talking about Emma. Ringo's lips trembled, he sighed, and said. -Well, not very well.

-Oh, in my time, I've had over a hundred partners, but none of them left me like this. Just throw her on the bed, I bet everything will work out.- The old man shook his head, opening his barely open eyes a little. He shook his head. He turned and entered the room, going to a table and picking up a pitcher of vodka and two glasses.

Ringo entered as the electronic door slid behind him.

-Do you know why I'm here?- Ringo asked calmly.

-For the same reason as those six idiotic nations.- The old man shook his head, brought him a glass of vodka, and downed his own in one gulp, making a satisfied click with his tongue.

Ringo took the glass, his lips trembling. That glass was at least 200 ml and it was full! - Old man, is your liver still good?

Li scoffed and ignored him, pouring another glass.

-So, you're going to teach me?- Ringo shrugged, drank and set the glass aside.

-Sure, why not?- Li shrugged and sat back in his wheelchair, sipping comfortably.

Ringo raised an eyebrow. -I thought it would be harder.

-Boy, I'm 150 years old, do you know how many students I've had in that time?- the old man asked calmly.

Ringo shook his head.

-Yeah, me neither, but there were thousands of them. I tried for years to teach it to someone else, but unfortunately, no one ever learned.- The old man shrugged.

Ringo frowned and asked, -Is it that hard?

-Well, it's very hard, but not that hard.- The old man shrugged, downing the rest of the vodka in his glass in one go. -The real problem is patience.

Ringo didn't speak, but watched as the old man seemed lost in thought.

-What I use is called Chi. It doesn't come from a super cell, no, but it's the pure energy of the body condensed to the limit.- The old man lifted the glass with one finger in a simple movement. The next moment, the glass crumbled into dust, not shards, but dust fell straight to the floor.

Ringo's eyes lit up when he saw this.

-Cool, huh?- The old man laughed, seeing Ringo's impressed look. -But the problem is that extracting energy from cells is very difficult. It's not like pugilists, your super gene is responsible for that, like machines programmed from the beginning to transform your physical energy into strength.

The old man rose from his chair and stood upside down on a finger. -Chi, on the other hand, doesn't have a ready-made machine. You have to build it yourself. It requires an extremely strong body, extreme willpower and incredible body awareness. It takes years to feel a trace of this energy and decades to learn how to use it proficiently. I learned this on my own and only reached an acceptable level in my seventies.

The old man pushed his finger and his body rose into the air, spinning a few times and falling back onto the chair.

Ringo's lips trembled. Should he applaud now?

-What I mean is, Chi is what we all have, the primary cellular energy, but while supers have their gene to act as a catalyst, we normal people don't.- The old man shrugged.

-I thought you were a super. According to the records, you have Grade C strength.- Ringo narrowed his eyes curiously.

-Yes, because I pushed my body to its limits and continued to advance, continually improving my body, but...- The old man sighed heavily. -But there's a limit, a barrier I can't cross no matter what. In the end, I gave up. I'm already old and no longer have the vitality and perseverance I had when I was young.

Ringo looked at the old man thoughtfully. If what he says is true, then this old man reached level 60 without a main class!
