Chapter 146 - Cap.133 - Heber's Thoughts

(Heber's POV)

-Did Ames say that?- Heber asked indifferently, his hands behind his back as he gazed out the window of his room, the galaxy outside as monotonous as ever, but he still enjoyed looking at it as he thought.

(A/N: I couldn't find a description for Heber, so just imagine him as a tall guy as muscular as The Rock, lmao.)

Behind him was a humanoid creature with dark red skin, a square jaw and a sharp gaze. Its aura was extremely tyrannical, with fine dragon scales around its eyes, lips and temples. It appeared to have mixed dragon lineage, but dragon features were not visible in its appearance. It wore heavy armor, but its corpulent figure could not be concealed, although it was tall, compared to Heber, it was still a head shorter.

-According to Hunting Blade, yes.- Fosters replied calmly, but his clenched fists suggested that his mind wasn't as calm as it seemed. This kind of humiliation was not only an insult to Bloodshed Land, but also to Heber himself. For Fosters, his animosity towards the Floating Dragon grew exponentially.

Primarily Black Spider.

Heber remained silent for a long moment, then finally shook his head as he said. -Forget it.

Fosters was a little surprised, unable to help but ask. -Should we just leave it at that? Why don't we kill Black Spider?

Heber let out an almost inaudible snort, the meaning of this action wasn't apparent, but he still spoke, instead, he simply replied with a single sentence. -Ames seems to like this boy very much.

Fosters was confused as to what that meant, but seeing Heber like that, he knew the conversation was over, so he could only reluctantly agree.

In fact, Heber himself was surprised, Ames was the ideal partner in his mind, which is why he always paid attention to her, but he wasn't the type to lower his head. He might be called blunt and direct, but hardly stupid.

If he continued with this subject, Ames might go crazy.

Carroll was just a random subordinate, Ames could take revenge because Heber's act of stealing from him was the same as trampling on her dignity, so Ames responded with extreme ferocity.

But she had never really looked at Carroll as someone important, not important enough to warn him so clearly.

Ames might consider that kind of behavior unworthy of her, Carroll wasn't worthy of a clear display of favoritism, which is why when they fought, Ames simply gave up after losing.

Black Spider seemed different, to the point that Ames made her position clear. In that case, Ames probably wouldn't stop if he acted against Black Spider.

Heber didn't care in the slightest about Ames's anger, she was weaker than him, that was a fact, but Heber didn't underestimate her because of it. If Ames truly entered into a prolonged war with him, if he couldn't kill her once and for all, she would become a major problem for Bloodshed Land.

With a few warnings from the Crimson Dynasty, Heber knew that in a few years the Shattered Star Ring would become a battlefield, the profits involved made him set aside any intention of deepening the conflict with Ames. Heber had no time to appease them with violence, not when the cost could outweigh the gains.

Black Spider was strong and could be a good subordinate, that's a fact, but for Heber, his officers were just a few shrimp among ants, in the end, he trusted his own fists more.

In the end, Heber could only give up for now, but he wouldn't forget.

Black Spider, who rejected him and attacked his subordinates, got in his eyes, sooner or later, Heber would show why his nickname is Tyrant.

Back on the Floating Dragon, Ringo was playing with his lance while Ames was in a particularly good mood.

Ringo didn't even need to sense her emotions to do so, but he was still using his foresight to figure out if the Tyrant would pay a visit because of it.

In the thousands of futures he saw, none of them indicated an attack, so Ringo eventually calmed down.

Although Ames wasn't afraid of Heber, the Floating Dragon would become space junk if the Tyrant actually went to war.

Shaking his head, Ringo dismissed that thought and watched the spear, Umbra Alba, recharge as it absorbed his evolutionary energy. Fortunately, the evolutionary energy was neutral enough to serve as a form of recharge, although not very efficient. The dispersed energy wasn't wasted, but constantly enhanced the spear's soul.

Taking advantage of Ames's good mood, Ringo made a request he'd wanted to make for a long time. -Ames, can I ask you something?

Ames looked at him curiously. -What is it?

-Can you use your force field on me?- He grinned excitedly as he asked, while Ames, on the other hand, stared blankly at him.

In the end, only one simple question escaped her lips. - Are you crazy?
