Chapter 192 - Cap.179 - Exchange

Ringo had changed his mind, his initial plan was to go straight to Bradd, but with this bet he ended up discovering something.

The best mages of the Shattered Star Ring are here, isn't this basically a place to get good materials?

As soon as the fight was over and they reunited, Ringo began to use his vision of the future and started to approach the mages with familiarity.

Unlike the Tyrant's group, where strength was respected, the Austin's mages, on the other hand, were a community that only respected knowledge and profit.

Ringo directly removed several pieces of Maktru to exchange.

Even though metals like this may be more attractive to mechanics, the fact remains that good materials are good materials.

The Mages, who were still haughty and alienating these "unwanted" guests, soon became excited.

Aesop watched Ringo transform Austin's Forbidden Sorcerers into market vendors as they quickly traded goods.

He could only remain silent for a moment, until he saw a Mage displaying a rare magic wine, and suddenly the exchange gained another participant.

In his opinion, Ringo was the biggest winner, the Maktru he obtained in Kandor was much easier than what those mages had to obtain. Aside from the high-level Void Dragon bones, Ringo traded quite a bit and left with a huge grin on his face.

the items were plentiful, but among them, the best were two: Mermaid's Tears and a root from a white tree.

Mermaid Tears is not an item, but a potion, its effect is quite extreme, simply put, it transforms physical attributes into spiritual ones for 3 minutes.

The real effect is that whoever drinks it transforms into a spiritual being for 3 minutes, their physical attributes are directly divided between Mystery and Intelligence, greatly increasing attacks of that nature, in addition to becoming immune to physical damage.

But if the drinker lacks spiritual protection, they will practically become an easy target for psychics and mages. Even so, greatly increasing these two attributes can, for example, turn Ringo's Nightmare Blade into a deadly attack. Furthermore, he can already transform into a form of energy and has corresponding protection, so this potion has become a trump card for him.

Unfortunately, this potion only works on Grade A and below, the body of a Grade S is too strong to be converted, at least not by this potion.

The root of the white tree, on the other hand, is an excellent material for magic staves, good at channeling energy, especially nature-based magic, and is also extremely resistant. Ringo thought it could be a good material for his new bow.

Despite the name "root", it looked more like a piece of white poplar wood in the shape of a branch, about 2 meters long.

In the end, the mages were also pleased, and the lukewarm reception soon turned into light conversation, they even took Ringo and Aesop to the refectory, paying for a banquet for them.

Hours later, when Ames and Austin returned, they came across a strange scene.

The mages, Ringo and Aesop, were drinking happily while Aesop, whose face was already red with drunkenness, recounted the time he ended up on a planet of enormous women who wanted to procreate with him.

-...oh, Gevelana, or was it Getlavana? Well, it doesn't matter, she was their queen, she took me to her cave and almost broke my hip! When I thought it was over, her three daughters appeared, and all I know is that I woke up without feeling my legs and with a carrot in my backside! To this day, I don't even know how that carrot ended up there!- Aesop burst into laughter, as did the mages around him. Ringo laughed so hard he rolled on the ground.

Ames' lips trembled fiercely, the long-forgotten feeling of shame is returning with force. Austin blinked several times in succession, the confusion within him evident.

But soon one of the Mages noticed their arrival and swallowed a laugh, shocked and embarrassed. He quickly stood up and straightened himself as much as possible, with his head down, avoiding Austin's gaze.

This resulted in a chain reaction, when everyone realized what was happening, the Mages quickly rushed to imitate the first Mage, while Ringo froze, embarrassed. He dodged, stood up, looked away, and tried to hide behind the Mages.

Aesop, who had drunk too much, hadn't noticed anything wrong, instead, he continued talking. -Ah, there was that time with a woman who looked like pink jelly, oh... that feeling...

Before Aesop could finish, he was already floating in a greenish force field, he was shocked as he was dragged towards Ames.

Ames looked at Aesop, and Aesop looked at Ames.

For a moment, neither of them spoke.

Aesop let out a dry cough and smiled, pretending nothing had happened. -Ames, how was the fight?

Ames didn't answer for a moment, she rolled her eyes and sighed, after all, this was her father, her gaze turned to the mages, her force field separated them, none of them daring to resist.

Ringo tried to escape, but was held back by a force field, just like Aesop, he was dragged away.

He had a slightly embarrassed smile, but he didn't do anything out of the ordinary, so he just kept smiling.

Ames shook her head slightly, exasperated, putting Ringo aside as well, she said. - I already told Austin what we need, he agreed to help.

Ringo nodded calmly, he had already eliminated the alcohol from his body as soon as he saw Ames.

Austin looked down at the Mages and gave a soft chuckle. He didn't mind, only finding the situation curious. He had never seen anything like it before. He was genuinely curious to know how things had come to this, but for now, that could wait.

He turned to Ringo and spoke. - So, where is the black orb? - His eyes didn't leave Ringo, his curiosity going far beyond what it had been before.
