Chapter 217 - Cap.204 - End of mission

Back at Trihexa, he ignored Elesis's irritated gaze, taking O'manir to his room to find out about this black flame.

After Ringo's clone searched far enough, he discovered what he wanted, as well as the reason Elesis wanted O'manir dead.

In the information he uncovered about Omanir, he saw that he used to belong to a planetary civilization, staged a coup, was exiled into space, and returned to seek revenge years later.

What he discovered was that Omanir was in love with Queen Arme, and he wanted to kill the king to take his place, but everything went wrong in the end.

O'manir was expelled, but he was still filled with hatred. He had learned the kingdom's forbidden skill long ago, but never practiced it due to the dangers involved. However, blinded by his hatred, he learned to use the purifying flame.

With it, he killed hundreds of thousands on his way to becoming stronger. He discovered that although his physique wasn't the best for a pugilist, he had a very strong spiritual talent, and with that, his progress became even more evident.

When he returned as a Grade A, he wanted to finish what he had started, kill the king and take the queen. But the queen sacrificed herself fighting him, the princess fled, and in his rage, he destroyed the entire planet.

This princess was none other than Elesis Siegfried, daughter of King Ryan Siegfried and Queen Arme Siegfried.

Understanding the whole event, Ringo finally understood Elesis's hatred. Sighing, he didn't feel too sad, there were so many such cases across the galaxy that he couldn't be sad about all of them.

Having already achieved what he wanted, he returned to the waiting room, where Elesis was already pacing back and forth. She glared at him angrily, expecting to scream, but Black Spider threw the man in front of her and then gestured for the group to make room for the woman before being the first to leave.

Rick wanted to stay, he was about to pretend to be a statue, ready to comfort Elesis and get closer to her, but Trax put his arm around his neck and pulled him away.

-Hey!- He shouted, but all he got was a growl.

From Ringo's perspective, he was thinking about the skill, considering the possibility of teaching it to Eva. Technically, as long as it didn't go too far, the risk wasn't high. The biggest problem was starting, if the spirit wasn't stable enough to contain the flame, it could burn the entire soul the moment they tried to practice this skill.

However, with Ringo's help, Eva could practice safely, any problem and he could directly absorb the flame, any damage could be healed with the soul polymer and with her active evolutionary field, she could quickly adapt to the flame.

Sure, keeping the flame at a level that would aid the practice of the spirit would leave Eva in a constant state of spiritual burning, which would be painful, but as a Pugilist, Ringo bet she would accept it willingly.

It was a shame that this was a pugilist skill, otherwise, he bets even Hila would like to practice it. Not that it would be impossible to adapt this skill to other classes, but it wasn't Ringo's specialty.

This type of skill development took a lot of time and effort, and involved trial and error.

Furthermore, Black Spider also acquired O'manir's sword. This black, gothic-looking sword was the main treasure of the Siegfried royal family. It was created specifically to help control the purifying flames, it was merely an amplifying device, but it was a Grade A weapon nonetheless.

It would be a good gift for Eva, although she prefers to wear her fists.

Elesis spent her time with O'manir, then returned to her own room. Fortunately, each room offered satisfactory isolation, but judging by the negative emotions emanating from that room, Ringo knew that O'manir would probably have preferred to be dead.

It took her hours to finish, but when she emerged, her eyes red and lips dry, her expression seemed emptier than anything else, not a single fragment of O'manir remained, likely reduced to ashes by Elesis's pugilistic flames.

The group didn't judge her, they just stared blankly at her. Even Rick looked serious, without trying anything, although none of them besides Ringo knew the reason for all her hatred. None of them were hypocritical enough to play the good Samaritans talking about peace and righteousness, they were mercenaries, so they just pretended not to know anything.

Well, Slugcat was still hopping around, not quite understanding what had happened.

Elesis took a deep breath and bowed toward them. -Thank you.

Black Spider waved his hand with a disdainful expression. -You paid for the service, I don't care about the rest.

Elesis blinked, slightly bewildered, but in the end she nodded, after all, they were mercenaries.

-Anyway, you've helped me a lot. If you need my help in the future, you have my communicator number, although I don't think it will be of much help.- Elesis shrugged.

Black Spider simply smiled and shook his head, he didn't think Elesis would be of much help either.

He could see that the girl wasn't a true warrior, she was merely overwhelmed with revenge. Now that it was over, he could sense her confusion, as well as her exhaustion.

He didn't offer her a spot on Triple Six because of that.

-Come on, let's stop at the Godora outpost to shrink the Trihexa and use the same method to return. I don't want to spend so much time traveling again.- Black Spider sighed, and the crew nodded.

The Trihexa's jump engines were soon charged, the spacecraft turned into a blur, and crossed the galaxy once more.

Black Spider thought it was completely pointless to have brought those guys, he'd spent a huge amount of money on it. If he weren't rich, he would have felt a deep pain in his wallet. Next time, he would just go alone. It would be much easier to shrink the Trihexa and use the nightmare teleportation to go to Kandor without having to spend an expensive teleportation scroll.
