Chapter 242 - Cap.229 - Players' Greed

Grog's head was almost completely destroyed by the punch, if it weren't for the toughness of a Grade A Pugilist, his head would have turned into a cloud of flesh upon impact. To withstand that punch without any pugilists to defend himself and still keep his head intact, one could say that Grog deserved to be a pugilist.

You know, just by fighting in a location, a Super Grade A fighter can cause tremendous consequences to a planet, even if they weren't trying to destroy the planet. A direct punch to the ground from a Pugilist can create a crater thousands of meters in radius and even affect the planet's rotation. A few more punches and it's not impossible to destroy the planet.

At Grade S, they wouldn't even need a punch, just a little force and the planet would turn into space debris. The power of the Supers was ridiculous, even more so at advanced levels. That's why, even with all the technological advancements, Grade A Supers were still seen as extremely important strategic weapons by advanced civilizations.

In any case, a Super Grade A, a pugilist who hasn't even reached peak Grade A yet, is still more resilient than a planet. This is incredible, but also extremely worrying. Supers are the galaxy's greatest gift, but also its greatest plague.

Trax didn't look at the nearly dead Grog anymore, he would leave that to Hila and Vanessa. One would take the blood, the other the soul. Grog was already on the verge of death, so he wasn't worried about him fighting back now.

Instead, he was more concerned with Black Spider.

He already treated the members of Triple Six as important friends, especially Black Spider, who not only freed him but helped him grow. He saw in Black Spider much more than someone who helped him in his revenge against Heber, but also a friend he could completely trust with his back.

So, although the other members wanted to help as well, only Trax had enough strength to enter that battle.

The tiger man advanced unimpeded, most of the rebels, seeing Grog's defeat, were already fleeing with all their might.

The members of Triple Six dealt with those they could, but the others they let go, they only needed to take down the leader of the rebellion, in this case, Grog. The others were just a hindrance.

Unfortunately for the rebels, as soon as he saw Grog dead, the general became excited, quickly ordering all his nearby forces to attack those rebels, those who managed to escape were only a small fraction of the whole.

The sounds of the distant battle intensified, but although the group was worried, no one advanced, they would only be a hindrance.

A Grade C super could handle a Grade B with some difficulty, but a Super Grade B could never deal with a Grade A, unless it had some kind of planetary weapon or something like that, they would need to rely on external power for that, and also a lot of luck.

A Grade C super is an elite urban-level soldier, practically a Captain America, maybe even stronger. A Grade B super is someone who can destroy cities single-handedly, although it takes them time, but a Grade A super is a planetary-level force, a city can be wiped out with one move.

To fight against that? That was just stupidity, hindering Ringo and Trax's battle.

While they were thinking, they didn't notice the group of players staring at Grog with completely greedy eyes, they looked like thirsty men who had seen an oasis in the desert.

They all wanted to kill Grog when he was almost dead, imagine the accomplishment of that? They already understood the power levels in the galaxy, killing a Grade A was practically a ladder straight to the top, their names would be immortalized in the galaxy as "the first players to kill a Calamity".

Aside from the enormous rewards for doing so, how great would the reward be for killing such an enemy?

The players were all itching, their hands almost reaching for their weapons, but whether it was Jupiter or Cytrus, they both knew that once they made the move without orders, it could have extreme consequences. Black Spider had already explained that if they did it now, they would not only be ejected, but frozen and sent into space, practically rendering their accounts useless.

They would have to start from scratch!

Poseidon was even trying to convince Jupiter that technically no one said they couldn't attack, but Jupiter strongly refused. Trax could have killed Grog, but he didn't, either because he was in a hurry, or because there was some use for him, if it was the latter, they would have been practically lost.

Unfortunately, the players could only gaze at this 'mountain' of fame and XP with eager eyes, but in the end, they didn't make a move.

That was good, because moments later, Hila and Vanessa approached. Vanessa first bent down and raised her hand. Grog's blood was difficult to extract, even now he was a Grade A, but there was no real defense, so he grew paler and paler until he was completely white, all his blood sucked out. He died.

Hila didn't linger, and her energy surged forward, harvesting Grog's soul. She closed her eyes as she listened to the cries of his soul, her energy rapidly strengthening. She was closer to Grade A.

After sensing the vibrations of the battle from afar, Hila, who hated weakness, grew increasingly thirsty for power.

Eva wasn't much different, although she just wanted to fight without holding back, the duo known as Black Devil and Red Devil were becoming increasingly power-hungry.
