Chapter 249 - Cap.236 - Aiz

(??? POV)

"I'm so sleepy..." - He couldn't help but think, the figure huddled in the corner, with pale white skin, long disheveled hair, an unshaven beard, and deep dark circles under his eyes with hyperemia, wearing gray clothes, just pants and a long-sleeved shirt, he looked like he was about to collapse at any moment, but he didn't.

Aiz remained in his stone cell. How much time had passed? He couldn't say, he had stopped counting, and the number of meals had also been lost at some point.

Not that he didn't want to tell, but he was so tired.

Sometimes he hallucinated, thinking he had made a mark on the wall, but no, the numbers changed, the real and the unreal became blurred, but Aiz had lived like this for too long.

It all started... well, he didn't know how long ago, several years, that was for sure.

He was just an ordinary boy, an orphan, but he tested 'positive' for the super gene, for him, that meant being useful to someone to the point of receiving enough food and a good bed.

It seemed that Aiz's life was changing for the better.

No, that was just the beginning of the nightmare.

Aiz is a psychic, which wasn't uncommon, the problem is that some recessive gene awakened within him along with his power, a new ability was born, Aiz could project his imagination into reality, creating physical and corporeal figures with the power of his mind.

Aiz was overjoyed at first, even his superiors were, but they soon realized something was wrong.

Aiz didn't have perfect control over his own power, perhaps because it was a mutation, but whenever he slept, his power would stir, everyone around him would fall asleep, and the nightmares they had... left scars, fragile minds, irritability, paranoia...

At first it was weak, they only isolated Aiz's dormitory, but the stronger he got, the worse it became, his power grew stronger and more widespread, to the point where someone was found sleeping, but with their body mutilated.

They tried to stop Aiz's mind, using equipment to prevent his mental powers from wandering, but Aiz's power seemed to know no limits, any technology used was useless. People continued to die, everyone was afraid to sleep, but it was inevitable. It seemed that Aiz grew stronger the more people he killed in his dreams.

Aiz was locked up, they classified him as a secret weapon, and normally no one could get close. There were few guards, just enough to maintain the place and feed him.

The place didn't exist, according to the higher-ups, it was known by Aiz's own codename, Bogeyman.

Aiz didn't want to hurt anyone, from beginning to end, it was all accidental, he didn't even resist, he avoided sleeping because he didn't want to hurt anyone.

To his superiors, this only meant that Bogeyman was more controllable, but it didn't change their decision.

Ultimately, unable to control his powers, Aiz could only be a weapon until the very end.

What Aiz didn't know was that the longer he stayed awake, the more his power concentrated, and when he finally couldn't take it anymore, his power exploded with overwhelming force.

That day, Aiz hadn't slept for over 5 years.

If he were a normal person, he would have died a long time ago, Aiz, however, is a Grade B.

He had endured enough, he couldn't take any more. Even the drug they gave him to help him stay awake didn't work.

Aiz had often thought about killing himself, but he couldn't when the time came. This time, Aiz was so tired that he simply thought he would die. He felt relief as he fell asleep, he hoped he would wake up in a better place.

When Aiz fell asleep, his power exploded, it wasn't an ordinary explosion, it was invisible, spreading rapidly out of his cell. Any kind of spiritual impediment was ignored as the energy advanced endlessly.

The base was covered first, the guards didn't even understand what was happening when they fell asleep.

However, this was only the beginning, the base was hundreds of kilometers away from civilization, but it took only a fraction of a second for Aiz's power to reach the first city. Aiz's guards hadn't even fallen yet when the people of that city froze.

One by one, people passed out and fell, babies, children, adults, old people, animals... they all fell asleep, accidents happening all over the city, but this wasn't the only one.

The power didn't stop, no, it advanced with even more force, as if it had gained fuel, one city after another, people sleeping functioned like antennas.

12 seconds.

It was time for the entire planet to fall asleep.

A large number of people had died randomly in the first few seconds, either from sleeping in an unsuitable place or simply from the consequences of that, a very large number of people had died in the first few hours after the event, some dismembered, others from a simple heart attack.

However, even after two days, Aiz had not woken up, instead, his dry body looked completely different.

He looked strong and well-nourished, his brittle, graying hair had turned black and well-groomed, his skinny physique had gained noticeable muscles, the deep dark circles under his eyes had disappeared, the Super power within him was extremely active, anyone nearby would notice that he was advancing by leaps and bounds from Grade B, rapidly approaching Grade A.

The number of people who had died for this to happen, however, was devastating.

The civilization of Aiz was a civilization subordinate to Godora, and two days without any sign of the entire civilization left the Godorians incredibly confused.

No communication of any kind was coming out of the place, but communication was still able to get in completely.

The problem was also evident: the Godorians hacked into the planet's servers and, through the cameras, saw scenes that left them shocked and confused.

It didn't look like they were all sleeping, but instead, after two days lying on the floor having nightmares and without food or drink... they looked like corpses.

The Godorians were alarmed, not even the local ambassador could be contacted. The Godorians went directly there. A Grade B Mage focused on teleportation, along with his own team of 5 men, each with a specific skill, wearing suits designed to protect them from any airborne pathogens or harmful radiation, bravely advanced.

One second later, communication was lost, the cameras only showed a group of people sleeping with faces full of fear.

The Godorians were completely confused and shocked, what on earth was happening?

Serbia quickly learned about the matter, and he found himself in a difficult position. He didn't want to lose any more troops, but leaving one of his affiliated planets in that state would create a terrible impression among his other subordinates.

By this point, the planet had become a media circus, the entire star system was talking about the 'cursed' planet.

While Serbia was still confused, he heard some news.

-My Lord, the Black Spider group is passing near the planet, should we issue a mission?- One of his advisors suggested.

Serbia's eyes lit up.

-Get in touch with Black Spider.- He said quickly.
