Ringo's clone stood in front of an image projector while, not far away, Emma was looking through a microscope. His evolutionary field was completely open, so he didn't really need the images to 'see'.
Even so, looking at his creation from a more visual perspective still filled him with enthusiasm.
-It's a success, without a doubt.- Emma said from not far away, as excited as Ringo, if not more so.
Ringo and Emma were staring at a single cell of the psychic Demogorgon.
Inside the cell, a completely new organelle had been created, it looked very much like the crystal used to contain these microscopic beings, but it had a gelatinous texture.
Inside that organelle, millions of these little guys were 'swimming' peacefully. Ringo watched for a while longer, even using his vision of the future to confirm that this cell was fully functional.
After confirming this, he began injecting spiritual energy into the cell, but those little guys didn't like it one bit, instead, a good portion of them died, leaving Ringo confused.
-They can only feed on one type of psychic energy, they emit a frequency, and the psychic energy that returns to them is already perfectly tuned for 'consumption'.- Emma explained.
Ringo paused for a moment, nodding. He'd felt that sensation before, adjusting his psychic energy wasn't difficult. It only took him a moment to emit energy at the same frequency as those guys were sending out.
The effect was immediately evident, they became much more energetic. Not only that, but those that grew too large divided rapidly, creating new companions. Even so, Ringo and Emma observed that there was a limit to their space, once that limit was reached, they stopped reproducing.
Not only that, but they also stopped 'eating', entering a cathartic state, almost like sleep.
Ringo and Emma conducted several tests with this new cell, and finally, they began testing it on living beings.
The primary target was clearly the Psychic Demogorgon.
Ringo first completely altered all the cells of the Psychic Demogorgon, sending a portion of the tiny beings into each of its cells and creating an organelle capable of sustaining their life.
Initially there was no direct change, except perhaps that the psychic wavelength emitted by the Demogorgon had changed completely.
Although it was pointless, Ringo wasn't frustrated, it was just the beginning of his exams.
The first part was to have the psychic Demogorgon adjust the psychic energy it emitted to feed the small beings, when they were fed enough to reproduce and enter a dormant state, the second phase began.
These guys relied on absorbing psychic energy, but could they actively release it?
Ringo tested it, he tried several different methods, but they refused to do anything other than feed and reproduce, it seemed completely useless. Ringo was about to start trying to modify their genes, but Emma had an idea.
-They rely on spiritual wavelengths to communicate, you just need to understand their language.- She said after observing for a while.
Ringo narrowed his eyes and thought it made sense. He started trying from the standard wavelength, but although there was movement when he emitted psychic energy in this way, when these little guys sensed the energy saturation, they quickly returned to dormancy.
Ringo began to slowly alter, it took several hours, constantly shifting to find a change, a slightly different wavelength, causing the little creatures to become completely agitated. The next moment, Ringo's eyes widened, moving at high speed to protect Emma behind him, just before an extreme shockwave was produced by the psychic Demogorgon.
Boom~~
The entire laboratory exploded, no, it wasn't just the laboratory, the whole facility was blown up directly.
It seemed as if Pain had appeared above the laboratory and used Shinra Tensei.
In the center, Ringo stood in front of Emma, still protecting her behind him, the Psychic Demogorgon lay on the ground, its body bleeding, groaning in pain.
Ringo stared at it in disbelief, he sensed something was wrong very quickly, but he didn't stop himself. He wanted to see the result... although he regretted a little now not having used his future vision for this. Fortunately, he had a backup of the information in the lab, but he would need to buy new equipment.
Anyway, he put that aside, approached the psychic Demogorgon, crouched down and began to inspect it, mainly its cells.
That little guys died in great numbers, but there were still a few hundred thousand per cell, although those who remained were lethargic.
The Psychic Demogorgon began to heal rapidly by expending its own energy, then it started feeding these guys again with the original wavelength, and the guys quickly began to recover as well, both in strength and in number.
Emma also approached, asking. -What's going on?
-Well, they died in large numbers, but they're recovering quickly with the original wavelength. The problem now is that this wavelength we tried is probably the key, but it will likely cause more explosions if we try to alter it. I'll do it myself from here on out.- Ringo explained.
Emma pursed her lips, she clearly wanted to participate, but seeing the damage, she gave up. -That power was comparable to a Super Grade A.
-It probably influenced the Demogorgon's own energy.- Ringo said. -Part of its energy was actively drawn in and transformed, but since it was a test, it didn't stop it.
-I understand.- Emma nodded.
Ringo didn't say much more, he grabbed the Psychic Demogorgon and left the planet, going to do it in space where it was safer.
