The convenience store's evening rush had finally slowed down. The clock on the wall showed 8:45 PM as Haruto finished his last tasks — wiping down the shelves and restocking the drink cooler. His body felt tired after the long day, but his mind was still swirling with many thoughts.
He took off his store apron and walked toward the counter where Ayame was finishing up at the register. The store lights had taken on a softer, warmer tone against the darkness outside.
"Ayame," Haruto said quietly, standing near the counter. "Before I leave… can you buy one menstrual cup for me? I want to give it to Yor."
Ayame looked up at him with gentle, understanding eyes. She gave a small nod and a soft smile.
"Of course. Wait a moment."
