Chapter 95 - Chapter 95: Renn Hawk: Paradise Cleanup Plan, Commence

"From this moment on Oilflower Town is under naval control!"

Renn Hawk's voice rolled across the scorching streets like thunder, reverberating through every alley of Alabasta's desert port.

And then came the sound.

Boom.

Boom.

Boom.

From the decks of the battleships, massive iron gangways slammed down onto the docks, sending deep tremors through the sand. A white tide of uniformed men poured out like a breaking wave thousands of Marines, their faces cold, their eyes sharp.

No one shouted. No one cheered.

The only sound was the relentless rhythm of steel boots striking the ground

a merciless march that beat like a war drum.

Within moments, the docks of Oilflower were filled with perfectly aligned formations. Hawk stepped off the lead warship, flanked by Zoro, Sanji, Smoker, and Tashigi, his coat brushing against the hot wind. His gaze swept across the drought-stricken land, calm yet commanding.

"Operation Paradise Cleanup," he said evenly.

"Commence."

He paused, turning slightly to address the officers behind him.

"Purge every armed element not identified as civilian. Leave no one alive."

Every commander straightened instantly, their expressions hardening as killing intent flickered in their eyes. They had been briefed long before setting sail; every man knew his target, his route, his duty. Without hesitation, the units began to move streams of disciplined soldiers flooding into the streets.

Two units stood out among them.

The first was Sanji's unit a hundred men strong, none carrying rifles or sabers. Their only weapons were the specially forged boots on their feet, each pair several times heavier than standard issue. Designed for brutal kicks and close-quarters combat, they turned every step into a potential killing blow.

The second was Zoro's detachment smaller, barely fifty swordsmen, but every one of them radiated lethal intent. Their hands rested on their hilts; even Tashigi moved among them, her blade glinting at her side. They were hunters unleashed.

Renn Hawk watched from the pier, satisfaction flickering across his face.

This was the first major joint operation since the unification of G-3 Branch a perfect field test.

The Baroque Works organization would serve as their proving ground.

With Zoro and Sanji his two cutting edges leading the charge, their current strength far surpassed what they once were in the Straw Hat era. Alongside them stood Smoker, Tashigi, and Peacock, all seasoned officers; and behind them, thousands of elite Marines tempered by Hawk's discipline and vision of justice.

As for the enemy's leader, Crocodile the so-called Warlord of the Sea Hawk would deal with him personally. And while he was at it, he'd take back Nico Robin.

The rest agents, officers, bounty lieutenants he would leave to his men.

Let them earn their justice.

Every kill brought justice points.

Why waste his own Haki when he could let his soldiers grow stronger through the blood of criminals?

Young Marines needed ambition.

They needed the chance to carve their names into the pages of justice.

Hawk's gaze shifted toward the two figures already racing ahead.

"Captain Zoro," he called, "fall in on the right flank once your area is secure."

"Got it, Major," Zoro shot back then scowled. "Wait, you're not my superior anymore!"

Sanji snorted. "Keep barking, moss-head. Maybe you'll finally earn that promotion after I leave you in the dust."

The two broke into a sprint, shouting insults as they split off into opposite streets exactly what Hawk wanted to see.

One was desperate to close the gap in rank.

The other was determined to widen it again.

Healthy competition forged sharper blades.

All around, the people of Oilflower Town could only stare in stunned silence.

The Marines… were taking over?

But this was Crocodile's territory the domain of one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea!

No one dared believe what they were seeing.

Could it be… the Navy was declaring war on a Warlord?

A chill ran through the crowd.

Nico Robin's face went pale.

Every officer in Marine Headquarters knew Alabasta belonged to "Mr. 0."

And this fleet so large, so coordinated it wasn't here by chance.

Something massive was happening.

Robin's mind raced. A sense of dread clawed up her spine.

The situation was spinning out of control.

She had to warn Crocodile now.

"...The Navy's here!"

The cry tore through the silence.

In the next heartbeat, Nami's eyes lit up with desperate hope.

She didn't know which division these Marines belonged to but it didn't matter.

This was her chance. Her only chance.

"Ha!"

With a sudden twist, Nami wrenched her arm free from Robin's grasp and bolted toward the street.

Robin reacted instantly. Her expression hardened as phantom arms burst from the walls, seizing Nami mid-step and pinning her once more.

The two women clashed in the narrow alley, bodies twisting, sand kicking up beneath their feet.

Meanwhile, across the town, the massacre had begun.

Baroque Works agents hidden among the civilians, their eyes cold and calculating stood out like flares in the Marines' trained vision.

To Hawk's soldiers, these men weren't human.

They were targets.

They were proof.

They were justice made tangible.

"Target confirmed: non-civilian combatant," barked a squad leader.

"By order of Major Hawk execute on sight."

No warning. No arrest.

Just the single, deafening crack of a rifle.

Another agent fell, blood splattering across the cracked cobblestone.

One shot became many.

Soon, the streets of Oilflower ran red.

At the same time, Zoro's unit carved their way deeper into the town. They moved like a living blade, cutting through resistance with ruthless precision.

Zoro swung Wado Ichimonji in a clean arc, slicing down an agent who lunged at him. The sword sang as he flicked the blood from its edge, pausing for a moment.

He looked around, frowning.

"...Weird. Where'd my men go?"

From a nearby alley came the faint sound of a scuffle.

Zoro tilted his head. "Huh. Someone's fighting nearby."

He strode toward the noise, his sword still in hand.

Clang.

Nami's metal staff was caught mid-swing intercepted by a disembodied arm. More sprouted from the walls, pinning her once again.

"It's over, Marine girl," Robin said coolly.

But before she could finish, a curious male voice echoed from the alley's entrance.

"Huh? What's going on here?"

Both women turned sharply.

A green-haired man in a Marine coat stood at the mouth of the alley, three swords at his waist, confusion written plainly across his face.

"Hey… are you two lost or something?"
