Currencies

There are many Empires on the continent upon which the first volume's events are transpiring on, and all of these Empires have their own currencies.

There are 6 types of coins based on the material that they are made of, which are the following:

-Copper/Iron

-Silver/Bronze

-Steel

-Obsidian(Due to the difficulty of producing them)

-Gold

-Platinum

100 copper coins = 1 silver coin

100 silver coins = 1 steel coin

etc.

Copper and silvers coin as colloquially known as Coppers and Silvers as they are the main coins that commoners use, with only nobles usually calling them copper and silver coins. Coins going from Steel upwards are simply called Steel coins, Obsidian coins etc.

Due to their high value, Gold and Platinum coins are strictly used by high nobles and the royal families while lower to middle nobles, merchants and other organizations being able to use only coins of Obsidian or lower quality.

The use of a Gold or Platinum coin is usually a tell tale sign that whatever you are paid to do, it is requested by a high noble family or the royal family.

Every coin is minted with the faces of the currently reigning king/queen or Emperor/Empress, with one side being the Male ruler while the other being the Female ruler.

1 Midorian(Elvish)/Amphorian(Lizardman/Amphibian) Copper coin = 5 Auroran(Human)/Tectonian(Dwarven) copper coins

This is due to the lower amounts of metals in Elvish and Amphorian territories when compared to the ones under the Empires of Aurora and Tectonia.

This goes for all coins up to Obsidian quality, with all Gold and Platinum coins having the same relative value in all Empires.

1 copper coin is roughly equal to 1 American dollar

A commoner can buy High Quality Commoner Bread with 1-2 copper coins and can board a room for a night at a decent inn for 10 copper coins.

The average salary of an average commoner is 500 copper coins, or 5 silver coins.

Copper coins can be substituted for Iron coins and Silver coins for Bronze coins.
