Chapter 46 - BUBBLE

As soon as he shouted out Tress's name, a transparent bubble enveloped him. Whatever hit him would be blocked by the bubble.

Wesley heard a faint voice, 'I can't appear in your world for now. You can use your spiritual aura to increase the bubble's strength, that is the only thing I can do for you now.' The voice disappeared after saying all that.

'Huh' he touched the walls of the bubble and felt that they were flimsy. But what surprised him more was the voice, it did not sound like Tresse but he had a gut feeling that it was him.

He could not think of Tresse right now but thanked in his heart and looked around. Wesley was still falling and blocks of rocks were hitting the walls of the bubble with tremendous strength that he was forced to be blown away to areas he did not know.

"What!' he let out an exclamation of surprise when he saw Grog being hit by a falling rock. Surprisingly he was still holding onto the woman who had fainted earlier. Of the rest of the warriors he was running with before, there was no sign of them.

'Probably they are already dead' he sighed out in sadness at the loss of life.

Wesley released some of his spiritual aura and injected it into the bubble, it gained a shimmer and he could fell that he could actually control it.

He tested it and realized he could make it move using his divine sense.

'What a marvel. So this is one of the wonders of having divine sense' he couldn't wait to finish awakening his bloodline and entering the inheritance place to test out his bow. Since the time Tresse had given it to him, he had never touched or trained with it.

'Forget the bow, I have to save Grog. I still need answers from him.' He thought as he controlled the bubble to move towards Grog and the unconscious woman' the bubble moved slowly and bumped into rocks and mutant beasts that were also in a similar situation. But it steadily reached them after a while.

'Now what to do?' Wesley looked the two people who were now unconscious and did not know what to do in order to bring them inside the bubble.

'May be it will work' he thought of an idea and tried it out. Using his divine sense, he made the bubble touch the two and let out a command using his thoughts to allow them inside. He waited with baited breath after doing all that.

'I hope it works' he prayed because he did not want to stick out his hand inside the mess surrounded them.

'Pssssh' like a ball pierced by a sharp object and losing air, Wesley felt the walls of the bubble being breached and with a surprise gasp, he saw the two comatose people enter the bubble but they did not come alone.

Rocks and dust followed them in and he could feel the integrity of the bubble was reducing at a frightening speed.

'Noooo, close , close, close' he shouted out desperately and felt the walls strengthen again.

'Phew' he breathed out a sigh in relief.

'It's good it worked'

Wesley turned and looked at the unconscious two and the corners of his mouth twitched. The two were now in an ambiguous position. They were holding on to each other like a pair of lovers.

'Ha' he let out a short laugh and noticed that the bubble had now become cramped. 'time to make it bigger' he snorted and controlled the bubble to increase in size.

And as a wise man always said, where there is a misfortune there is always a silver lining and the one for Wesley was the vibrations he could feel when the bubble he was controlling impacted the rocks and beasts.

And with the divine sense, he could feel them clearly. He sat cross legged and entered a selfless state.

New ideas cropped up his mind like blooming flowers. This state was almost close to that of having an epiphany but it was not. He still had a mind to care about where he was so a bit of his divine sense was left to control the bubble to avoid bigger rocks from impacting them.

...............….

But as Wesley was being tossed around, the warriors in the city felt only a small percentage of the situation. The walls around the city shimmered slightly and the impacts of the strong vibrations in the ground were almost canceled out. The shield had come into place and protected those in the city, they only felt a slight jolt in the ground that stopped abruptly and then, they went back to whatever they were doing.

Only those high tier warriors sensed the wrongness in the situation but since it did not affect their activities, they let it go.

Only warriors and outers who were outside the city walls felt the true horror of the ground breaking apart like a fragile cookie.

One of these warriors was Desker, he had decided to go and look for Wesley since the boy had disappeared for some time.

Now he was caught up with the trembling ground that had forced him to lie down and wait it out.

He lifted his head when the ground had stopped rippling and saw a huge cloud of dust that blocked even the black clouds above him. When the dust cleared, his mouth opened in surprise.

There was a gaping maw of a hole in front of him, the ground had disappeared and only left a huge hole that was so deep you could not see the bottom.

'oh no, Wesley'
