Chapter 68 - Chapter 68 – Fall of the Holy Citadel

The march began before dawn.

Not with trumpets.

Not with roaring armies.

But with a song.

Soft at first — a hum carried by the wind.

Then stronger, warmer, alive.

A melody no mortal tongue could sing, no angelic choir could replicate.

The Song of Creation.

Arhaan's song.

And as it spread across the shattered plains, the Covenant rose.

Every soldier.

Every jinn.

Every fallen angel.

Their wounds closed, their spirits steadied, their fears quieted.

The world itself answered the call.

---

The path to Heaven opened not as a gate — but as a rift of golden light rising from the earth to the sky, a staircase woven from Arhaan's melody.

He stood at its base, cloak billowing, the Oathbreaker glowing like a star reborn.

Kael approached him, armor reforged in crimson and gold. "Are you ready?"

Arhaan looked up at the shining rift.

"I have to be."

Selara bowed. "Your will shapes the path. We follow."

Behind her, an army of mortals, angels, and jinn — once enemies — stood united, watching the staircase ascend into Heaven's heart.

Arhaan stepped forward.

The rift pulsed, widening, welcoming him.

Heaven trembled.

---

THE HOLY CITADEL

The moment Arhaan's foot touched the white stone, alarms rang through the realm.

The sky above Heaven cracked like glass.

Wings beat.

Armies formed.

The Celestial Citadel — the seat of divine authority — glowed with impossible brightness.

Yet something was wrong.

The angels guarding the gates hesitated.

Their hands shook.

Their halos flickered.

One stepped forward trembling. "Your song… it feels… right."

Arhaan placed a hand on the angel's shoulder.

"You were never meant to be slaves of silence."

The angel dropped his weapon.

Others followed.

Kael muttered, almost laughing, "You're unmaking their army without lifting a blade."

"As it should be," Arhaan said.

---

THE INNER SANCTUM

They reached the final gate — a monolith of blinding gold, carved with laws older than time.

When Arhaan touched it, the runes writhed.

Some vanished.

Others rearranged.

The gate opened on its own.

Inside stood the High Arbiter.

Alone.

Waiting.

The Divine Annihilator loomed behind him, its single burning eye fixed on Arhaan.

The Arbiter's voice cracked the air.

"Creation bends when you breathe. The heavens tremble when you speak. You are a threat to everything I built."

Arhaan stepped forward. "You didn't build Heaven. You stole it."

The Arbiter slammed his staff.

Light exploded outward.

"HEAVEN IS MINE!"

Arhaan raised the Oathbreaker.

Chains of crimson and white lightning wrapped around his arms.

"No," he said softly, "Heaven belongs to everyone."

---

THE FALL BEGINS

The Arbiter unleashed the Annihilator.

Its sword swung — a beam of pure creation, capable of erasing galaxies.

Arhaan countered.

His chains lashed upward, catching the blade mid-swing.

The impact shook existence.

Kael led the Covenant inside, clashing with the last of the Arbiter's loyal Seraphs.

Wings clashed, flames roared, runes shattered.

The Citadel shook with every note of Arhaan's song.

> The final war had begun.

---

THE FIRST BREACH

Arhaan raised the Oathbreaker overhead.

Its runes glowed with a radiant fusion of crimson and gold — the colors of rebellion and creation.

He brought it down.

The Citadel's walls — eternal, unbreakable, divine — cracked.

Light burst outward.

The Holy Citadel began to fall.

The Arbiter screamed,

"YOU WILL UNMAKE MY WORLD!"

Arhaan's voice rose above the chaos.

"I'm not unmaking it…

I'm returning it to the song it was meant to be."
