I managed to land on my feet but definitely broke all the bones in both. It was painful and disappointing. I felt the bones repair themselves within seconds. That was also painful. I looked around to see if anyone noticed, but then I wondered if it even mattered at this stage since the Lycan King himself knew the truth.
Perhaps he also knew about Umbra and my mother. Perhaps it was not him who was the problem but all the other royals. Yes, the Lycans ruled the supernatural world, but they were one species against many others, and I guessed if all the other species stood as one, they could most likely overthrow them.
Was the Lycan King aligning himself with shifters? Shifters were believed to be extinct.
