His wives - Eleanor, Liliana, Iris, Alicia, Eva, and Aisha - were all present, seated comfortably on the plush couches.
"I...why am I here?" he asked slowly, his brow furrowing in confusion.
He glanced around at the familiar faces of his beloved partners, trying to recall how he had ended up in this situation.
Eleanor paused in her task of decorating the tree to smile warmly at him.
"What do you mean, darling? It's Christmas! Of course we're celebrating together," she said gently, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. Valerian hesitated, momentarily forgetting his initial surprise as he took in the joyful atmosphere."
