Orochimaru stood alone on the blackened ridge of the Hot Water front, his pale face half-lit by the glow of dying campfires. The air was heavy with the smell of blood and ash. In the distance, flashes of lightning from the Raikage's attacks against Fugaku Uchiha painted the night sky white. Every flash reflected in Orochimaru's eyes.
He had waited six months for this.
Six months since Danzo approached him with that quiet, poisonous tone:
"If you can perfect Tobirama sensei's Edo Tensei, we can end the war before the Leaf collapses."
Six months of filth, corpses, and failure. Iwa shinobi cadavers, dissected and reassembled. Dozens of rituals performed. Hundreds of mistakes. But now, finally... success. He could call the dead back from the pure land, and not just as a mere illusion, but as bodies.
And tonight, he intended to use them.
The seals spread across the ground, drawn in Orochimaru's neat, obsessive hand. Two coffins erupted from the soil, ancient wood grinding against stone. The air turned sharp and cold.
The lids fell open with a hollow thud.
Out stepped Hashirama Senju and Tobirama Senju, eyes half-lidded, flesh a shade too pale, chakra flickering like a dying flame. They looked around slowly becoming aware of the surrounding and were confused.
Hashirama blinked first, tilting his head.
"Why were we summoned?"
Orochimaru bowed slightly, his voice silken.
"Hashirama-sama, Tobirama-sama. The shinobi world is once again in war... the Third Great Ninja War. Konoha is losing ground. I summoned you to aid us... The Konoha."
Hashirama rubbed the back of his neck, counting with his fingers.
"Third? But I ended the first. What's the point of peace treaties if people keep tearing them up?"
Tobirama snorted.
"Peace treaties are only words, brother. They hold until the man who signed them dies. After your death, I tried to keep order. I fell in the Second Great Ninja War... to the Kumo forces."
Hashirama turned his warm, bewildered gaze back to Orochimaru.
"And who are you, young man?"
"I am Orochimaru. I was trained by Hiruzen Sarutobi... your successor. I'm also teammate to your granddaughter, Tsunade."
The First Hokage smiled faintly.
"Tsunade… that little girl who used gamble? She became a shinobi?"
Orochimaru's lip twitched. "A fine one too. She's at the Suna front, saving lives. Leading Konoha front."
Tobirama said, "It seems we're operating at about 35% of our full power."
Hashirama nodded after analyzing his chakra and his arsenal, his expression thoughtful.
Orochimaru interjected, "I can't say exactly how strong you truly are, so I cannot make a precise estimate. What I did was select the two strongest subjects I could find, prioritizing the output of the Reanimation Jutsu over strict control. Had I chosen to focus on controlling you instead, your effective power would have dropped to around 15%."
Hashirama didn't understand what orochimaru was saying. Instead asked "Where is Hiruzen now?"
The mood shifted, curtly. Orochimaru's answer came low, deliberate.
"He fell. Killed by the Third Raikage himself."
The silence that followed was heavy. Tobirama's eyes narrowed. Hashirama's expression darkened, and his usual warmth cooled into quiet rage.

The Raikage's instincts screamed as Orochimaru bit his thumb, smeared blood on the ground, and completed the final sequence of one handed seals. The air rippled. "Bee. Tell everyone to fall back. That's the First Hokage."
"Kuchiyose: Edo Tensei." [Summoning Technique: Reanimation jutsu]
Bee's usual grin faded. He looked from the chakra signature of Hashirama to Tobirama's cold precision.
"No kiddin', Raikage-sama… that's bad news. That's real bad news."
The Young Ay... exhausted and bloodied... wanted to protest, but one look from the Raikage silenced him.
"You've held the line long enough. Withdraw. This isn't your fight."
Bee cracked his neck and summoned his blades.
"Then whose is it, Raikage- sama?"
"Mine," said the Raikage, eyes narrowing, lightning already crawling down his arms. "And yours."
Orochimaru watched them both, his heart pounding. Perfect. This was the kind of opponent that could test his reanimation jutsu.... a walking natural disaster.
Hashirama and Tobirama's chakra surged. The ground cracked beneath them.
"Orochimaru, is this the Raikage that fought against Hiruzen?"
"Yes," Orochimaru replied, eyes gleaming. "This one… is said to be stronger than all who came before."
Hashirama nodded. "Then this will be a good warm-up."
Tobirama looked toward the lightning storm in the distance.
"We have Regeneration. No Flying Thunder God for me. I have all my other arsenal... water style and genjutsu."
"I have only Mokuton Deep forest emergence," Hashirama replied with a wry smile. "Still... this body remembers enough."
Orochimaru leaned forward slightly.
"Then allow me to learn from the creators themselves."
The Raikage landed first, a thunderclap in human form. The sheer pressure of his arrival flattened the grass and sent pebbles skittering. Bee followed, blades in hand, his eight tails flickering in rhythm with his movements.
When Hashirama and Tobirama stepped forward, the entire battlefield seemed to hold its breath.
"So it's true," said the Raikage, voice rumbling. "The legends walk again. The God of Shinobi himself."
Hashirama smiled almost kindly.
"And you must be the one they call The Raikage. Strongest of your line. I see the reason why Hiruzen fell."
The Raikage's jaw tightened.
"He was a warrior I respected. This war isn't personal... but I'll finish what your village started."
Bee spun his swords lazily, eyeing Tobirama.
"Yo, silver hair, you are the one who was called the genius of konoha? Let's see if you still got it."
Tobirama's eyes gleamed, cold as the ocean.
"You'll find I haven't slowed as much as you hope."
The fight erupted instantly.
Hashirama's hands blurred through seals... vines burst from the ground, whipping toward Bee. The jinchūriki countered with a tail swipe, snapping trees in half. Tobirama's water-style blades sliced the air, clashing with Raikage's lightning-clad fists.
Orochimaru stood back, enthralled. Every strike, every clash was a laboratory note in motion.
Hashirama's laughter rolled across the field.
"So this is the power of today's shinobi! Incredible! Good warm up indeed."
The Raikage responded with a roar, body igniting in lightning armor, moving so fast he left afterimages. His fist met Hashirama's Deep forest emergence mid-swing... both shattered the air with the impact.
Tobirama and Bee vanished into a blur of motion... speed meeting rhythm, water slicing through tail-beast chakra. Tobirama analyzed his opponent and adapted to him. Bee improvised, unpredictable, every swing of his blade accompanied by a hum.
"Nice moves, grandpa water! But I'm the freestyle killer!"
Tobirama almost smiled. "Annoying. But skilled."
Orochimaru's heart raced. This was beyond power... this was the living history of the shinobi world colliding. His Edo Tensei was holding, barely. Cracks formed on Hashirama's arm, Tobirama's shoulder flickered with decay. If only I had more time I could of perfected it...
The Raikage's breathing grew heavier, lightning still burning bright. His clothes were torn, his forearms bleeding from wooden spikes.
The Raikage calmed his breath "Warm up is finished. Let's start for real." "Bee... If I die today. Tell Ay to take over the village. Tell my wife, your master that I love her."
He took a deep breath and unleashed the power he could not control. "Black Lightning Release Chakra Mode."
