Seizing the opening, Itachi flicked his wrist, sending a volley of shuriken whistling through the air. Pakkun couldn't discern the trajectory as it overwhelmed his senses. Kakashi rapidly erected a defensive earth wall, but Itachi's shurikenjutsu was flawless. The blades struck each other mid-air, deflecting at impossible angles right around the earth wall and burying themselves into Kakashi's forearms.
Kaien didn't waste a second of the opening Itachi created. He slammed his hands together, manipulating the churned earth beneath them.
"Mud Release: Bottomless Mud Hole!"
Kakashi stood perfectly still, seemingly unfazed. In reality, his brain simply failed to register that he was sinking into a liquefying swamp; Kaien's distortion was actively rewriting his perception, convincing his mind that he was still standing on solid earth.
A few seconds ticked away before Kaien casually walked up to the Kakashi. "How does it feel to finally die?" he asked.
Kakashi merely smirked. "It seems you've lost your mind. At this distance, I'm the one who can kill you at any time."
Kakashi willed his right hand to drive the White Slash forward. But when he tried to lung forward, his legs refused to budge. A cold sweat broke out across his neck.
With a maniacal laugh, Kaien released the illusion.
"HAHAHAHAH...."
Kakashi was buried up to his chin in a thick mud swamp, and he was entirely immobilized. Kaien, who according to Kakashi was several yards away, was actually standing directly over him, a blade pressed firmly against his throat.
"Goodbye," Kaien whispered. "I'll send your friends to join you in a while."
Before Kakashi could even process what has happened, Kaien swung his blade, severing the head and carefully extracted the Sharingan from its socket. He knew how dangerous Kakashi was, giving time to think was last thing he wanted to do as he sensed Kakashi was already starting move his finger.
"Your fear of me taking away your sharingan, made you lose." Kaien held Kakashi's head which were bleeding from two eyes.
Kaien placed the Sharingan in glass vial and sealed its contents into a scroll. And stored Kakashi's body in a larger scroll.
"Now then, this is done. Let's go assist Dodai-san." Kaien said to Shisui and Itachi. However, it was not an easy fight Shisui and Itachi were out of chakra, well Kakashi was such a monster even fighting blind.

Of the remaining eleven elite Konoha ANBU who had ambushed them, nine now lay dead across the field. Dodai stood amidst the ruin without as much as a scratch or broke a sweat. His Lava Release had evolved far beyond standard mastery; he was now manipulating rubber and gum with a terrifying fluidity that placed him leagues above the elite Jonin cadre. Yet, despite his overwhelming power, he had intentionally stepped back from the final two ANBU
Under his watchful eye, Guren and Jugo were being forced to harvest field experience. Both of them possessed a terrifying potential... a fact made obvious during their recent academy clashes against Yugito and Ruri. But potential was a useless in the shinobi world where anyone could die at anytime unless it was forged under properly. Dodai knew that for true prodigies, or for those fueled by a desperate need to protect something, an insurmountable wall was the exact catalyst required for a breakthrough.
He left one seasoned Jonin ANBU to each of them, as he observed and was ready to intercept moments notice in case of danger.
Guren was running out of time. She lunged through the thick undergrowth, as her breath rattled in her chest. The Konoha ANBU pursuing her was a Hyuga, and the disparity in their physical stats was staggering. It was all she could do to keep from being pinned down.
As she leaped over a rotted log, her mind raced desperately trying to find weakness in her enemy. "The ANBU use the Byakugan to see through the chakra pathway system", she reminded herself. "They see the tenketsu points and use Gentle Fist to shut them down."
In one of her exchange, she had trusted her Crystal Armor... a technique she had proudly created to serve as both a shield and a weapon. But the Hyuga's chakra-infused strikes had bypassed the dense crystalline layer entirely. A strike had already clipped her left arm. Now, it hung uselessly at her side, the chakra pathways completely blocked.
"With only her right hand functional, two-handed seals were entirely out of the question. What do I do? Why am I this weak? Damn it!"
Hiding was useless; the Byakugan's x-ray vision made a mockery of the dense foliage. Every strategy in her arsenal was spent. If she wanted to survive, she had to invent something entirely new, right here and right now.
"Think," she scolded herself, circling through the trees to buy fractions of a seconds. "If I can't hide, I have to change how they see me. Crystal reflects light, if I can cloak myself by encasing in an intricate shell of shifting crystals to redirect light, I would look like a shimmering light prism."
And another concept flashed in her mind as if she was enlightened. "What if I could be invisible. But to achieve true invisibility, the light hitting her front needed to be perfectly bent, guided seamlessly around the contours of her body, and released from her back along the exact same trajectory. To anyone looking at her, the light would pass through and would only see what is behind me. She could effectively vanish from the enemies view."
But she didn't have the flawless control to achieve invisibility yet... so she would go the other route, she would overwhelm the Byakugan.
Guren dug her heel into the dirt, skidding to a sharp halt. She stopped running and waited for the ANBU to close the distance
Within a heartbeat, the air shifted behind her. The Hyuga ANBU flicked, moving in for the kill, fingers extended to deliver the lethal Gentle Fist strike.
Guren gauged the distance to surprise the ANBU just as they struck their Gentle fist. She raised her right hand and quickly did few half baked one handed seals.
"Crystal Release: Blinding Goddess!"
A fractured dome of hexagonal crystalline mirrors erupted around her. The sunlight hit the facets and magnified a thousand times over, sending out a searing flash. Even with the Byakugan, the intensity of the concentrated light completely overwhelmed the ANBU's vision. The ninja flinched, instinctively throwing a hand up to shield their eyes.
Guren quickly closed the distance she might never get and luunged forward, closing the distance before the ANBU could recover.

A/N: Kaien's first step into revenge as he mercilessly kill one of the direct cause of his kidnap incident and gets the iconic Kamui Sharingan.
