Chapter 121:
In the Hokage's office, after the Jar Merchant had left—
"Still, come to think of it, the Mujina gang and those Ability Beasts stirring up trouble everywhere isn't entirely a bad thing for the Hidden Leaf Village," Shikamaru said with a smile, giving off the impression that fate had a twisted sense of humor.
"Yeah, that's true. The Feudal Lord of the Land of Fire recently allocated more funds to the village. Thanks to that, construction in the Hidden Leaf has sped up," Naruto agreed with a nod.
"Although we got a sum of money, the Feudal Lord also sent his son here. He should be arriving right about now."
Shikamaru said this as the scene transitioned—
At the Hidden Leaf Lightning Rail Station.
With a loud whistle, the Lightning Rail train slowly pulled into the station. Leaf shinobi stood guard all around, alert and on edge. As always, the one in charge was Sai.
"Hurry up, Yamaoka!" a kid stepped off the train, shouting to the old butler dragging luggage behind him.
"Yes, I understand, Young Master," Yamaoka replied, straining under the load. "Young Master Tentō, please slow down. Lord Feudal instructed me to take good care of you while he's away."
"I heard you the first time. You're such a nag." With both hands in his pockets, Tentō looked annoyed. "Huh? Who are you?"
"Young Master Tentō, I'm Sai. I've been assigned to escort you."
Standing behind Sai were Boruto, Sarada, and Shuyu.
Ever since their last mission, the Hidden Leaf leadership had been considering officially forming Boruto, Sarada, and Shuyu into a new Team 7.
"What the heck? Uncle Sai is being so respectful to that little brat."
"Hey, keep your voice down. I heard he's the Feudal Lord's son."
"So what? I'm the Hokage's son and I've never seen Uncle Sai act that respectful toward me."
Boruto was clearly not having it.
"You're the son of the Seventh Hokage?"
As Boruto and Sarada whispered to each other, Tentō walked right up to them.
"Yeah, that's me."
"Doesn't seem like it."
"What did you say?!"
"As the Hokage's son, I bet you know tons of powerful jutsu, right?"
"Of course I do!" Boruto said proudly.
"Then show me."
"Huh? Why should I have to prove I'm the Hokage's son to you?"
"Knew it. You're not really the Hokage's son—or if you are, you must be the family idiot. I bet you've embarrassed the Hokage more times than you can count."
"…"
Boruto fell silent, prompting Sarada to check on him. "Are you okay, Boruto? Don't take it to heart. Sure, you've embarrassed the Hokage a bunch of times, but—"
"HEY! Whose side are you on, Sarada?! Dammit!" Boruto glared at Tentō. "You want to see something? Fine, watch closely! Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
Four shadow clones appeared beside Boruto. Counting his original body, there were five of him standing before Tentō.
"Shadow Clones? Meh, that's nothing. Even the guards back at my place can do that. And I heard the Seventh Hokage can create over a thousand at once. Yours are pretty pathetic in comparison."
"You little—! I'm not done yet!" Boruto grit his teeth. "Hokage Secret Technique: Sexy Jutsu!"
A golden, twin-tailed bikini-clad beauty appeared in front of Tentō. Just like Naruto, Boruto's Sexy Jutsu emphasized seductive charm.
"What an idiot," Sarada muttered, her face flushing. She snuck a glance at Shuyu, who remained expressionless beside her.
Seeing Tentō's exaggerated reaction—his jaw slack, eyes dazed—Boruto decided to go in for the kill. "I'm not done! Hokage Secret Technique: Harem Jutsu!"
The other four shadow clones transformed into identical blonde bikini girls and rushed at Tentō, calling out his name as they hugged him tightly.
"Well, what do you think, Young Master Tentō?" Boruto asked.
But instead of the expected nosebleed, Tentō burst into laughter, barely managing to get himself under control.
"That was pretty entertaining, I'll admit. But I prefer the sweet and innocent type. I'm surrounded by sultry women all the time at home—I'm bored of it." Tentō shrugged.
"You're way too mature for your age!" Boruto shouted, reverting to normal. "Damn it, I'm not finished yet! I've got way stronger jutsu I haven't even shown!"
"Oh, really?"
Boruto caught a flash of disdain in Tentō's eyes and prepared to form more hand signs.
"You idiot—" Sarada interrupted him with a punch to the head, cutting off his jutsu. "Give it a rest already, Boruto! Keep this up and I'll tell Aunt Hinata all about it!"
"No, please, don't do that, Sarada!" Boruto begged, clutching the lump forming on his head.
"You kids seem to be getting along just fine." Sai, now with tissues stuffed up his nostrils, spoke up. "I've got some other matters to handle, so I'll leave looking after Young Master Tentō to you three."
While it might seem irresponsible to entrust the Feudal Lord's son to a group of similarly-aged kids, this was Naruto's village, after all.
"Hey!" Boruto was about to say something, but Sai and the other Leaf shinobi disappeared in a flash.
"Grown-ups always have their own stuff to deal with," Tentō said, looking over his shoulder at Yamaoka. "Let's find a place to stay."
"It's already taken care of, Young Master," Yamaoka replied.
The Hidden Leaf Village's five-star resort hotel. Currently, its only guest was Tentō.
"This place is ridiculously luxurious."
Boruto, trailing behind Tentō, couldn't help but shout in amazement.
"And you're supposed to be the Hokage's son? You've clearly never seen anything fancy in your life. What's so shocking about this?" Tentō commented as he walked ahead. "By the way, Boruto, you're going to help me become a ninja."
"What? Says who?"
"Says me—your sponsor. Your team leader, Konohamaru, already agreed to my task."
"When did that happen? Why didn't I hear anything about it?" Boruto looked baffled.
"Could it have been… when Yamaoka left us on the way here…?" Sarada muttered, realization dawning on her.
"Heh, exactly."
"Konohamaru-nii is the worst…" Boruto looked like he was about to explode—until his expression suddenly softened, replaced with a sly smile. "Fine, I'm in."
"Hey, Boruto, what are you planning now?" Sarada leaned in and whispered.
"Relax, Sarada. I just want him to learn one thing—the life of a ninja is not something to take lightly."
Boruto said this as he stared straight at Tentō, giving Sarada a small wave as he walked ahead.
