Kokabiel felt the power in his body turn sluggish, his eyes nearly popping out.
This is… Immortal Qi!?
Since when did Kuoh Town produce a mongoose that could actually hurt him?
Kokabiel was shocked to find that everyone here could hurt him! In other words, each of them at least had some means to temporarily raise their attack power to the Maou class?

Under the siege of the girls, Kokabiel was flustered and on the back foot, barely parrying.

In the original storyline, the Maou-class Fallen Angel Kokabiel could use his wings to easily block slashes from the Holy-Demonic Sword and the Holy Sword Durandal[see the strength of the Fallen Angels' ten tribes' wings].
However strong they are, Fallen Angels' wings are not without flaws.
The base of the wings is the weak point!
Once the wing bases are damaged, it not only affects attacks and defenses that rely on the wings, but also disrupts the flow of power inside the body!
Kokabiel's power was already being impeded by Immortal Qi. If his wings were injured on top of that, it would basically be his defeat!

Kokabiel noticed their shift in target and realized they were aiming for his wing bases. He immediately panicked a little.

There was no time to ask why or how. He wanted only to run.

Yumi Kiba stared at those all-too-familiar figures, doubting reality.
"Akuto-sama, this is…?"
If she wasn't mistaken, these were her former companions.
"Yumi! It's been so long!"
Tosca rushed over and hugged Yumi Kiba tight, tears of reunion spilling down.
"Tosca, why did you grow so much?"
Tears in her eyes, Yumi asked in puzzlement.
The others still looked like boys and girls—tender, youthful. Tosca alone had grown into a poised, graceful young lady.
"Ah? About that…"
Wiping her tears, Tosca explained why she was different from the others.
Through Tosca's explanation, Yumi finally understood what had happened.
If she remembered correctly, Tosca had indeed been killed by a researcher after failing to withstand the torture of the experiments.
But in truth, she had only been gravely wounded—on the brink of death, not actually dead.
At death's door, a sturdy barrier-type Sacred Gear awakened inside her, leaving Balpa and the other researchers unable to act against her and forcing them to seal her in a chamber in a feigned-death state.
