"To His Imperial Highness, the Prince," said King Daemon of Volterra, bowing his head. "And to the Princess, whose strength and wisdom bless this Empire."
Queen Leona inclined her head gracefully. "Eldoria is twice blessed, a new life, and a victory on the field."
Others echoed in agreement, but their words were measured, diplomatic. Only one face remained unmoved.
Queen Mira of Aurinon sat still, her ruby gown catching the sunlight. Her lips curved faintly, not in joy, but restraint.
Her gaze slid toward the Emperor, then flicked to the empty chair that would have belonged to Daphne.
"Congratulations to the Imperial Family," she said at last, her tone sounded smooth, but the faint chill beneath it did not go unnoticed.
Katherine's brow arched, but she said nothing, not yet.
Arin nodded once, "Eldoria thanks you all. And while my General's family celebrates, so too do we all, for their courage and brilliance have safeguarded this Empire."
