Chapter 228 - Chapter 228: Cosmic Civilizations at War! Godzilla Unleashed!

The moment the Annihilation Wave burst out, Godzilla's energy had already been fully charged. As the cosmic wormhole forced out more and more of the wave, Godzilla opened its gaping maw!

A blinding light followed.

"ROAR~~~!!!"

This was Godzilla's first atomic breath of the battle. It needed to deliver overwhelming deterrence! So, along with its thunderous roar, the breath was infused with the power of the Power Stone!

At that instant, a faint purple glow pulsed from Godzilla's chest, while the beam from its jaws was so dazzling one couldn't look directly at it. Godzilla turned its head as it fired, and some of the blasts pierced straight into the cosmic wormhole!

Moments later, the wave that had just emerged was completely erased, leaving the battlefield as if it had been swept clean.

"Is it over?" Mayday asked in shock.

Lorien shook his head slightly.

"A drop in the bucket."

Compared to the few that had spilled out, far more Annihilation Wave still lingered inside the cosmic wormhole.

...

"Zzla!"

Suddenly, a sound like fabric tearing ripped through their ears. It didn't come from nearby—it came from the battlefield itself.

Everyone looked over. A hideous, green-skinned creature with an insect's body and a human face ripped apart the cosmic space beyond the Solar System in one violent motion! Then, with a surge of power, it forced the wormhole wider and wider!

"~~~~!!!"

It roared furiously. Even more savage, even more brutal Annihilation Wave now poured endlessly from colossal wormholes, flooding toward the Solar System in overwhelming waves!

Their monstrous faces showed not a shred of fear. Their crazed eyes carried no trace of dread. Instead, a savage excitement surged within them.

This was the true wave. This was the genuine Annihilation Wave!

Aside from Lorien, everyone else was seeing them for the first time. Confronted with such ferocious, savage, and chaotic creatures, the group was clearly unsettled.

"Too chaotic. A race without brains."

"Not exactly violent aesthetics, but definitely brutal."

"A little disgusting, though tolerable otherwise."

The women gave their impressions.

But Lorien wasn't focused on appearances. He was analyzing their structure. Watching the relentless tide of insects throwing themselves forward, he actually found the opponent satisfactory.

"From a governance perspective, this is the ultimate form of dictatorship. It's like the Cold War between the United States and the Soviet Union—it may look like open conflict, but at its core it's a clash of ideology and will between civilizations. The swarm's collective mind embodies absolute dictatorship. The Overlord is the sole ruler of everything."

When Lorien finished, the women understood. Wars between civilizations were also wars of will. If wills were divided or opposed, there could be no right or wrong in battle—only conflicting stances.

The wave's nature was brutality and destruction. Did they bear an ancient grudge against the Transformers? No. But that didn't stop them from itching to annihilate Cybertron now.

...

"Roar~~!!"

From the center of the battlefield, another roar shook the void. Everyone turned to see Godzilla charging into the wave, unleashing energy in a frenzy.

Of course, none of these "sounds" were real. In the vacuum of space, there was no medium for sound. What they heard came from vibrations, which was why those nearby could perceive them.

Then flashes of light erupted before their eyes. The warships and starcraft had opened fire!

In an instant, countless dazzling bursts lit up the cosmos, like stars twinkling endlessly. Ships, warships, flagships, weapons, fortresses—all unleashed bombardments against the wave.

The explosions made no sound to the observers. They could only see countless bursts flashing, fiercer than fireworks at New Year.

The wave surged endlessly toward the Solar System. Endless barrages of shells and lasers roared outward into space. Countless lights flickered.

If each explosion were a single LED bulb lighting up, the battlefield was now millions—tens of millions—of bulbs blinking without pause.

The Annihilation Wave advanced without end! Billions, tens of billions, poured from the wormholes, slamming into the Solar System's defenses.

The Transformers held the line! Robots, warships, shells, lasers, planetary fortresses—all unleashed their firepower outward.

Blinding flashes streaked before their eyes. A cosmic war beyond imagination had begun!

...

Behind Lorien, the women's faces showed a mix of emotions. Cindy, Mayday, and Peni stared wide-eyed, their eyes filled with shifting colors.

Gwen and Wanda were calmer. Though excited, the light in their eyes was so intense they hardly blinked.

Of them all, Hela reacted the most differently. She kept her gaze fixed on Godzilla and quietly whispered encouragement.

"Beat 'em to death, big guy! Breath fire! Yeah, unleash it! Blast 'em to smithereens! Charge!"

Hela was shouting like she was playing a video game, remotely controlling the battle.

But the actual scene was far more intense than anything they could see. From Godzilla's perspective, after it charged to the edge of the Solar System and halted, its entire field of vision was filled with endless swarms of insects!

Yes—endless. Not just directly ahead, but on both sides as well. Of course, in space there's no real up, down, left, or right. Strictly speaking, aside from the space behind Godzilla, every direction was swarming with the Annihilation Wave.

It was like a person being completely engulfed by a mass of mosquitoes. The thought alone was chilling.

Hela frowned as she watched. Her hands clenched, and she murmured to herself.

"The big guy seems trapped. I hope he's okay."

It wasn't strange to feel that way. Surrounded so densely, he did look like a beast caught in a cage.

But Lorien just shook his head with a smile.

"You underestimate Godzilla. Ordinary Annihilation Bugs can't even bite through Godzilla's outer armor."

Hela finally realized.

"Right!"

While Hela, Wanda, and Gwen understood what was happening, the Spider-Alliance—Mayday, Peni, and Cindy—had no idea who Godzilla really was. They stared unblinking at the battlefield.

Peni tugged at Gwen's sleeve and whispered.

"What species is this Godzilla?"

Clearly, she was fascinated as well.

Gwen kept her eyes fixed on the battlefield but lifted a hand to ruffle Peni's hair.

"Godzilla is just a name. You could also call it the Big Monster. Little Guy is what Lorien named it. And of course, Hela likes to call it Big Guy, and so on. Anyway, Godzilla is a super-monster, Lorien's pet. It has a reactor core inside it that constantly devours energy to evolve and grow stronger."

"Wow~" Peni gasped.

Hearing that, she was genuinely astonished. A super-monster!

Mayday, listening nearby, couldn't help but marvel as well.

"It's so cool."

"Roar! Roar! Roar~~~!!!"

Just as they finished praising it, a dazzling purple light wave erupted from the center of the cosmic battlefield. Its range was massive, engulfing countless units within its radius!

Peni, Cindy, and Mayday were nearly blinded by the intense glare.

"What is this?!" they cried in shock.

Hela's eyes lit up instantly. She grabbed Lorien's hand with excitement.

"Lorien! Is this the big guy's new ability?"

Wanda glanced at Lorien too, clearly thinking the same thing.

"It is a new ability." Lorien looked at Godzilla with a satisfied smile. "And it's a newly developed one—very powerful and practical."

"I knew it!" Hela was so delighted she nearly leapt with joy. She adored Godzilla, and seeing him unleash such divine might filled her with pure happiness.

Meanwhile, Cindy, Peni, and Mayday—who were physically weaker—were only just recovering from the shock. They watched as the purple light wave rapidly expanded, resembling the vacuum zone and shockwave after a nuclear explosion, or perhaps a mushroom cloud.

The wave burst outward in an instant, swelling rapidly until it reached its limit. Only then did the purple hue begin to fade, before slowly dissipating.

Now everyone could finally see the aftermath inside.

And it was—

"Nothing left!"

Hela threw her hands up in celebration.

"One massive shockwave, and every insect within the purple light's range was annihilated!"

Yes. Within that wave of purple light, the universe had been swept clean in an instant. The Annihilation Wave that had just moments ago filled the void had vanished completely—without even a trace left behind.

"Too powerful..." Cindy and Mayday exchanged a look, their thoughts perfectly aligned.

They both realized: if such a super-monster ever rampaged across Earth, who could possibly stop it? Nuclear bombs? What a joke. Nukes could only wipe out humanity itself, but they couldn't touch this Godzilla.

And this Godzilla... was merely Lorien's pet.

Even more shocking was that the Transformers civilization was also just one of Lorien's subordinate civilizations.

It was overwhelming.

Both Cindy and Mayday sneaked glances at Lorien's profile. This handsome, unassuming man, who carried himself with no arrogance at all—behind the scenes, he commanded such staggering power?

Think about it: if anyone else on Earth had this man's influence, strength, authority, and abilities, could they still live a simple, enjoyable daily life like he does? Could they still dote on their wife, respect and treat others kindly, cherish good friends, and embrace life with genuine passion?

Was this even real? Could a person truly have such a mindset?

Even gods—people only ever spoke of arrogant gods, inhuman gods, conceited gods, omnipotent gods. But never had they seen someone like this... someone more godlike than the gods themselves.

At that thought, Mayday and Cindy exchanged another look. Both pairs of eyes were filled with starlit admiration.

From the side, Peni tugged at their sleeves.

"Calm down a bit..."
