Chapter 230 - Chapter 230: The War Nears Its End! Devourer-Girl Unleashes Her True Form!

When Lorien and the others were watching, Galacta was dumbfounded.

Do you know why she came? Just look at her outfit.

The same cube-shaped helmet as Galactus, but purple. Purple eyes, purple lipstick, purple top, purple mini leather skirt, safety shorts, and purple shoes.

What does this all-purple getup mean? It means Galacta came here to fight! Not to go sightseeing!

So when she heard that the Transformers civilization was a subordinate of Lorien's, Galacta glanced at the distant Annihilation Wave and swallowed nervously. Then she turned to Lorien and said,

"But I want to eat those bugs. They're full of so, so, so much energy."

As mentioned before, Galacta feeds on life energy. The same life energy needed for the birth of the Celestials. Once something dies, that energy is gone.

So if she waits until the war is over, Galacta won't get any energy at all. And out there? That's tens of billions of bugs!

Galacta was already imagining how happy she'd be if she devoured them all. What a feast that would be! Her mouth watered as she sucked on her finger, staring at Lorien. Her eyes were practically dripping with hunger.

Seeing this, Lorien shook his head helplessly.

"It's not like I'm forbidding you from eating them."

"Yay!"

"But there's one condition."

"?" Galacta froze with her hand halfway up. "What condition?"

Lorien looked toward the battlefield in the distance, then waved at the twin ballerinas.

"What's the current real-time combat efficiency of the Transformers?"

The twins calculated. Aria answered first,

"In about two days, the Transformers will completely wipe out this Annihilation Wave, suffering around 30% casualties."

Bella added,

"Provided no further reinforcements arrive for the Annihilation Wave."

Thirty percent. That's no small number.

In ancient wars, did you think armies fought until the last man fell? No—you're giving people too much credit.

Unless it was a war of survival, once casualties reached 20% of the total force, soldiers started to worry. At 30%, panic set in.

And you didn't even need 50%. Just a bit more than that, and the entire formation would collapse!

So in ancient warfare, it was rare for an army to hold past 50% losses without breaking. Defending a city was an exception. Here we're talking about two armies clashing on the battlefield.

That's why ancient battles could end the instant a banner was cut down or a commander slain. That's human nature.

But Transformers don't have human nature. No matter how many fall, they'll fight to the very end.

The same goes for the swarm. Even if only 1% remain, they'll still attack with mindless ferocity until none are left.

This war was destined to be brutal. There would be no rout, no retreat. Only one side would be completely annihilated.

So to sum up, once the outcome is already clear, unnecessary casualties can be avoided—there's no need to see the bloodshed through to the bitter end.

Since the calculations show the Transformers will eventually win with 30% losses...

Lorien nodded and said,

"Wait for the signal from the Ballerina Twins. Once the Transformers reach 10% casualties, you can go ahead and eat. That way the war will end early."

"Really? Great!"

Galacta rushed over excitedly and hugged Lorien.

This made Mayday, Cindy, and Peni, who were standing behind Gwen, widen their eyes.

Who is this?

How did she get to hug him?

We haven't even hugged him yet.

And she just hugged him?

Who got here first? Ah!

But Gwen and Wanda didn't seem to mind at all.

After hugging Lorien, balancing on one leg, Galacta let go and stepped aside, fixing her gaze firmly on the battlefield.

The projected victory for the Transformers came with 30% losses. That meant every 10% of Transformers lost equated to 33.333...% losses for the Annihilation Wave.

So Galacta did the math. By the time it was her turn to act, the swarm would still retain at least 65% of its numbers.

That was more than enough for a hearty feast!

One must be content, after all. And if she got hungry again later, she could always ask Hela for some "snacks."

"GAAAAAAH!!!"

At that moment, a colossal purple energy wave erupted within the Annihilation Wave.

Its reach was immense, swallowing tens of millions of insects in an instant!

When the wave finally faded, the battlefield's center was completely cleared, not a trace left behind.

Only Godzilla stood there, his entire body blazing with radiant purple light as he roared toward the heavens. From his mouth, a searing purple laser shot upward.

"ROAR!!!"

Hela clapped her hands in delight.

"Awesome, big guy!"

Lorien nodded.

It really was awesome. With Godzilla's eruption like that, who wouldn't say it was cool?

Mayday, Cindy, and Peni all stared wide-eyed.

And Galacta's eyes practically lit up!

She turned to Lorien in surprise.

"That's Godzilla? It's growing so fast!"

"When we first met, it barely had any life energy. Now it has thousands upon thousands of times more than before!"

To Galacta, every unit of existence was a measure of life energy. The strength of an opponent could be judged by that energy's value.

So when she looked at Godzilla now, she was stunned by how quickly it had grown.

Hela proudly crossed her arms, chest puffed out.

"Impressive, right? The big guy's growing like crazy. He can already use the Infinity Stones now—and he's got new powers too!"

"Really impressive." Galacta nodded again and again.

Indeed, it was impressive. A creature this massive, with such combat power, could practically dominate any major universe.

As long as it didn't encounter a Universal-level being, it could rule without question.

In Galacta's eyes, the life energy within this single Godzilla already surpassed the combined total of every human on Earth.

Tell me, isn't that impressive?

The Ballerina Twins spoke up from the side.

"Godzilla's shockwave strike is estimated to have eliminated 0.5% of the Annihilation Wave."

Half a percent didn't sound like much. But in reality, that was tens of millions of bugs!

It only seemed small when compared to the vast swarm as a whole.

Yet this staggering scale and proportion once again reminded the women around Lorien of the brutal reality of cosmic war.

Tens of millions? Just a drop in the bucket.

Once interstellar war erupted, the numbers started in the hundreds of millions. By the later stages, it was directly in the trillions!

Against such numbers, individual power meant little—unless your strength utterly surpassed them, reaching the level of a Universal-level being.

Otherwise, even a Sky Father–level powerhouse would steer clear.

This colossal war held the women around Lorien completely spellbound.

...

The battle raged on for another hour or two.

Under the real-time calculations of the Ballerina Twins, the numbers on both sides dropped rapidly.

Transformers' total forces: -1%

Annihilation Wave's total forces: -3.3%

At this pace, casualties steadily mounted.

[1% 3.3%] [3%: 9.9%] [5% 16.5%] [8% 26.4%]

Under everyone's watchful eyes, the battle finally showed a visible shift.

The swarm actually looked smaller!

Yes, smaller!

For the first time, it looked like their numbers had actually decreased!

This was rare—unbelievably rare!

As Galacta stared fixedly at the battlefield, Lorien looked at her and smiled.

"Once Aria's notification hits 10%, you can head straight over."

Devourer Girl swallowed hard and made an OK gesture with her hands.

Seeing that gesture, Lorien felt a trace of unease. The last time she and Hela were snacking together, she'd used the same gesture with both hands, moving them suggestively up and down.

Ahem.

Not long after, Aria glanced at the panel and said calmly,

"Transformers battle damage has reached 10%."

Whoosh~!

The words had barely left her mouth before Galacta had already turned into a streak of purple light and shot forward.

She only left behind a cheerful "I'll be right back~!" before vanishing from everyone's sight.

Watching Galacta disappear so suddenly, Mayday, Cindy, and Peni finally had a chance to nudge Gwen in the waist. Then they whispered from the side,

"Who was that girl, Gwen?"

"Yeah," Mayday murmured, "How did she end up hugging him?"

Gwen glanced at Galacta, who was already charging into the Annihilation Wave's front lines. Only then did she explain,

"She's the multiversal-level daughter I told you about."

"Her name is Galacta. Lorien gave her the nickname 'Devourer Girl' because her father's title is 'Devourer of Worlds.'"

"But don't underestimate her. Galacta's strength is probably on par with mine. If we fought, who would win is hard to say—of course, that's if I didn't use the Black Necrosword."

"Anyway, just treat her like a little girl with a personality similar to Lorien's. She's here on Earth just to live her life too."

Mayday, Cindy, Peni: !!!

So that legendary figure's daughter is her!

And she turned out to be this stunningly beautiful? Her face, her figure, her lips, her eyes—they're all perfect!

And on top of that, she's this powerful!

How's anyone supposed to live normally now?

The three listened and watched, practically on the verge of tears. But when they heard the last part—that she was just living her life on Earth like Lorien—they couldn't help but sigh again.

Truly, birds of a feather flock together.

Nothing bad ever seems to be around Lorien. People beside him are either incredibly hardworking and responsible, or calm and approachable.

Before learning about Galacta's strength, the three never would've imagined she was this powerful.

And she charged straight into the Annihilation Wave—alone!

Alone!

To single-handedly take on the entire swarm!

That was just too formidable!

It sounded impossible, but it was true.

Under everyone's watchful eyes, the purple light had already reached the battlefield.

The moment Galacta arrived, she looked at the swarm like she was about to drool.

"Food! Nothing but food!"

Galacta was ecstatic.

But with such an enormous swarm, there was no way her human body could consume it all.

So...

Her body suddenly began to expand, shifting from flesh into a semi-ethereal energy form.

Which meant—

Galacta had transformed into her true form!
