Chapter 56 - Chapter 56: The Nexus Point and the Absolute Victory

My progress was relentless but slow. I moved through the apocalyptic tide of monsters like a god walking through fog. Any monster that tried to engage my continuous Endless Defensive Barriers was instantly vaporized by a retaliatory, zero-latency Plasma Chain strike.

I reached the Prime Elemental Nexus, a massive, open-pit construction now overflowing with monster corpses. The Overload Node—a pulsing, black orb—was visible at the center, guarded by a dense, suffocating shield of pure Mythic Essence.

The remaining Rank S hunters of the Celestial Concord and Obsidian Pact, having seen my overwhelming power, converged on the Nexus, no longer as enemies, but as desperate, final allies.

Grand Master Theron, his face gray with terror and exhaustion, arrived with the last of his personal guard. "Dax Jackal!" he screamed over the roar of the monsters. "That orb! That's the Recalibration Node! If it isn't destroyed, the city will be wiped from the map!"

"I know," I stated, not slowing my pace. "The purification zone is about to activate. You have seconds."

"We can't breach that shield! It's Mythic-grade suppression!" Theron screamed, pointing his battered Legendary artifact at the pulsating orb.

This was the final test. I could not destroy the Overload Node with brute force; my Mythic Enforcers encounter had proven that. I needed to use the one unique power I possessed that countered both Mythic Suppression and Absolute Density.

---

The Mythic Essence shield around the Node was designed to nullify all energy that attempted to penetrate it. This was the perfect challenge for my newly acquired Legendary Gravity Essence.

I activated the full power of my Gravity Control. I didn't try to pierce the shield; I tried to crush the Node from the outside in.

I focused a localized, intense Gravitational Field—a micro-singularity—around the surface of the Overload Node. The shield, designed to repel energy, had no defense against the fundamental law of gravity. The immense pressure I was generating began to compress the Overload Node itself.

The Node's pulsing slowed, its black surface buckling inward. It shrieked—a high, unnatural whine that silenced the surrounding monster hordes.

I maintained the continuous Gravitational Crush, forcing the Node to consume itself under the weight of its own density. Finally, with a localized, violent implosion that sounded like a collapsing building, the Overload Node was pulverized.

The effect was instantaneous. The ground stopped shaking, the apocalyptic monster tide halted, and the orange glow vanished from the sky. The Global Recalibration was forcibly terminated.

---

Silence returned to Solaria City, broken only by the whimpering of the surviving hunters and the vast fields of dead monsters.

I stood over the pulverized remains of the Overload Node, the power of the Gravity Essence pulsing through my veins. I had defeated an apocalyptic event by utilizing past-life knowledge and the absolute superiority of my broken system.

Grand Master Theron and the surviving Rank S hunters approached, their faces a mixture of relief and absolute, abject terror.

Theron, falling to his knees amidst the debris, tried to speak. "Dax... Controller... you saved us all. We... we will submit fully. Just tell us what you need."

I met his gaze, my eyes blazing with the cold, permanent electric blue of the Storm Titan.

"I don't need your submission," I stated, the exhaustion of the ordeal finally beginning to settle in. "I need one thing: Information. The Central Authority knows where I am. They will not send more waves; they will send the Mythic Enforcers themselves."

I looked at the assembled, broken remnants of the Grand Guilds. "My status as the Blackout Echelon means I am the only thing on this planet the Authority fears. From this moment on, every single resource, every last ounce of manpower, and every piece of hidden Mythic Lore must be dedicated to my singular purpose: the destruction of the Central Authority."

"Your war is now my war," I declared. "And my war has just begun."

The Flames of War had raged, and I had emerged as the Absolute Controller of the conflict, the unstoppable synthesis of past knowledge and present power, ready to confront the final, ultimate enemy.
