Chapter 2429 - Ch: 83-90

Chapter 83: Over 1.5 Billion in Illicit Funds

Peter strode down with long, decisive steps.

After descending about ten meters, his field of vision suddenly opened up.

This was a meticulously converted underground vault, not particularly large, covering about a hundred square meters.

The surrounding walls had all been reinforced, even lined with lead sheets to prevent moisture and block signals.

Although the space was limited,

what was inside was enough to instantly make any normal person lose their sanity.

"Whoa..."

Even Peter couldn't help but whistle softly and his eyes lit up slightly when he saw the scene before him.

Dozens of huge wooden pallets were neatly stacked in the room.

On half of those pallets,

were stacks of US dollar banknotes sealed in transparent plastic wrap.

Bundles of green paper currency were piled up like bricks, forming what was known as a cash wall.

The visual impact was extremely strong.

On the other half of the pallets, the color was an even more enticing golden yellow.

Gold bars.

Not the small stuff with just a few bars, but a reserve of actual gold bars.

They emitted a charming luster under the lights, and their heavy texture made one want to pounce on them and roll around.

Besides cash and gold,

shelves against the wall held various brocade boxes and painting tubes of different sizes.

Peter casually opened a painting tube and unfurled the contents.

"Monet's Water Lilies? An original?"

Peter raised an eyebrow.

"It seems Kingpin has decent artistic taste, or perhaps this is just a method for his money laundering."

He opened a few more brocade boxes.

Inside were rare jewels, as well as a few ancient-looking bronze artifacts and porcelain pieces.

The combined value of these items was simply incalculable.

"Roughly estimating, the cash and gold here alone are worth no less than 300 million US dollars, plus these antiques and paintings..."

Peter calculated quickly in his mind.

"The total value of this warehouse is probably over 500 million US dollars."

"This Kingpin is truly a great philanthropist."

Peter couldn't help but sigh.

Although he was now backed by Osborn Industries and didn't lack money, that was company money, or Harry's money.

What lay before him, however, was solid 'unexpected windfall'.

Moreover, this was black money.

"Since it's black money, rather than letting it mold or be snatched away and squandered by other gangsters, it's better to entrust it to me, the messenger of justice, for safekeeping."

Peter chuckled, a look of taking it for granted on his face.

"I will use them for proper purposes, like upgrading my equipment."

No sooner said than done.

Peter waved his hand, and the System Space mark on his wrist shone brightly.

"Collect!"

The 'Mountain of US Dollars' before him instantly vanished into thin air, along with the wooden pallet beneath it, all entering Peter's backpack.

"Collect again!"

The pile of gleaming gold bars followed closely behind, disappearing.

"And all of this, take it all away!"

Peter was like a merciless humanoid vacuum cleaner.

Where he passed, not a blade of grass remained.

Whether it was priceless famous paintings or boxes full of jewels, he missed none of it.

In just a few minutes,

the once fully stocked underground vault became cleaner than a newly renovated bare apartment.

Even the dust on the floor seemed to have been swept away by Peter's aura.

"Done."

Peter didn't rush to leave; instead, he very rigorously activated the X-ray scanning function.

He swept over the empty walls and floor once more.

"What if there are hidden compartments?"

As a seasoned RPG player, Peter possessed the excellent habit of 'map completion', never letting go of any hidden treasure chest.

But unfortunately, this scan did not reveal any more hidden areas.

"Looks like it's truly emptied out."

Peter shrugged.

"That makes sense. No matter how capable Kingpin is, he is essentially just an ordinary person."

"Accumulating this much wealth is already the result of squeezing the entire Hells Kitchen for over a decade."

He didn't waste any more time here.

According to the map provided by Wesley, there were three more secret warehouses like this in New York!

"The sky is about to brighten; I need to hurry."

Peter checked the time, his figure flashed, and he rushed out of the Underground Room.

The next hour

was simply a frenzy of'Speedy Plunder' for Peter.

His figure

appeared in the old warehouse district of Brooklyn, the basement of an abandoned factory in Queens, and the secret vault in the lower levels of Fisk Tower.

Every appearance

was accompanied by the shattering of locks and the disappearance of massive wealth.

No security system could stop him.

Electronic locks?

Hacked and solved in seconds.

Physical locks?

Crushed by brute force.

Biometric locks?

Wesley had already sent him the keys.

This was simpler than picking vegetables from his own backyard.

When the first ray of dawn pierced the thin mist over Manhattan and shone upon the torch of the Statue of Liberty,

Peter completed his sweeping mission.

He stood atop a bridge, facing the rising sun, and checked the inventory in his System Space.

[Cash Reserve: 850 Million US Dollars]

[Gold Reserve: 4.2 Tons]

[Antiques/Art/Jewelry: Estimated Value 400 - 600 Million US Dollars (Requires Appraisal)]

Total Value: Exceeding 1.5 Billion US Dollars!

"I'm rich."

Peter took a deep breath, feeling like the morning air smelled of money.

"Is this the legendary 'killing, arson, and taking a golden belt'? No wonder so many people want to be villains."

However,

after tallying up the spoils, a small sense of regret welled up in Peter's heart.

He had held onto a sliver of hope,

thinking that since Kingpin had dealings with The Handand other factions as a major underworld boss,

his collection might contain some magical artifacts?

Like some cursed amulets, or clues to magical items?

After all, this was the Marvel Universe; anything was possible.

But regretfully,

Peter carefully inspected the antiques, touching each one with his Spider-Sense.

They were all mundane items.

Truly just some very valuable old antiques, vases, paintings, and calligraphy.

There were no energy fluctuations, nor any mysterious aura.

"What a pity."

However, Peter quickly adjusted his mindset.

"This 1.5 billion US dollar fund is enough to support me in completing many expensive research projects."

"As for the legacies of other gangs..."

Peter looked toward the direction of Hells Kitchen, which was now his territory.

"Although those guys aren't as rich as Kingpin, every little bit helps."

"Coupled with the business channels left behind by the major gangs, with a steady flow, life will only get more comfortable in the future."

After finishing all this,

Peter's shadow clone finally felt a trace of fatigue.

"Mission complete, clocking out."

He dissolved the shadow clone technique, and all its memories and experiences instantly flowed back to the main body.

...Scene Transition...

New York, Queens, Forest Hills.

Morning sunlight filtered through the gaps in the curtains, spilling onto the soft, large bed in the upstairs bedroom.

Peter's main body had woken up long ago.

Or rather,

given his terrifying physique, last night's 'fierce battle in the clouds,' though intense,

felt like just a warm-up exercise to him; it didn't require long hours of sleep for recovery.

Chapter 84: Easy Subdual

Peter was lying on his side on the bed.

He propped his head up with one hand, gazing tenderly at Gwen beside him.

Gwen at this moment was curled up in the blanket like a quiet kitten, revealing only half of her exquisite face and a stray lock of messy blond hair.

Her breathing was even and long; she was clearly still immersed in a sweet dream.

Last night had been absolutely the craziest night of Gwen's life.

First, she gained superpowers, leaping to become a superwoman capable of lifting twenty-five tons;

Next, for the first time, she donned that incredibly revealing yet cool battle suit.

Hundreds of meters in the air, she experienced the thrill of swinging on a Web fluid line;

Finally, she had an'sparring session' that went beyond limits with Peter atop Osborn Tower, under that very special atmosphere.

It had to be said: although she gained Spider-Man's physique, Gwen's endurance and recovery ability had received an epic enhancement.

But in front of Peter, who was clearly cheating, she was still the one being crushed.

Peter looked at his girlfriend's serene sleeping face, his heart filled with a sense of accomplishment.

"Spider-Woman's combat power is indeed formidable," Peter reviewed the previous night's battle in his mind, his lips involuntarily curving upwards.

"She has boundless strength, and her body flexibility is beyond reproach. Many high-difficulty moves I couldn't do before, I unlocked last night."

"However..." Peter thought smugly, "You can't outlast me, I'm the seasoned one. Dream about draining me in the next life."

Just then, Gwen's eyelashes fluttered a few times. Awakened by her biological clock, she slowly opened her eyes.

Her azure eyes still held a trace of haziness, but they quickly regained clarity.

The Super Spider gene inside her body circulated, and the sense of fatigue receded like a tide, replaced by vitality surging through her entire body.

"Good morning, Peter..." Gwen yawned, extending her arm and hugging Peter's neck like a koala, her voice soft and sweet.

"What time is it?"

"Good morning, my sleeping beauty." Peter lowered his head and kissed her forehead.

"Just past seven. It seems your recovery ability is excellent; you're back to full health so quickly?"

Hearing this, Gwen's cheeks flushed slightly, clearly recalling last night's madness.

But immediately after, she seemed to remember something. She puffed out her cheeks slightly, a hint of unwillingness flashing in her beautiful eyes.

"Peter..." Gwen stared at Peter's vibrant face, which looked like he hadn't been tired at all, and asked somewhat dejectedly.

"Why?"

"Why what?" Peter feigned ignorance.

"I'm already Spider-Man!" Gwen sat up, the blanket slipping down to reveal her shoulders with delicate collarbones and perfect skin.

"My strength can overturn a tank, and my endurance is dozens of times that of an ordinary person. Logically, I should be very strong."

She clenched her fist, feeling the surging power within her.

"But why, in last night's 'competition,' was I still no match for you?"

This made the competitive Gwen feel very frustrated.

She had originally thought that after gaining superpowers, she could turn the tables in their relationship, take the initiative, and even subdue that bad guy Peter.

The result? Peter still dictated the rhythm, she was still the one who called for a halt, and she was still the one who ended up exhausted and passed out, while Peter could carry her home still full of spirit.

"This isn't scientific!" Gwen protested. "Is your superpower that much stronger than mine?"

Seeing his girlfriend looking so adorable yet unwilling to admit defeat, Peter couldn't help but burst out laughing.

He reached out and gently scratched Gwen's nose, his eyes full of doting affection and playful teasing.

"Silly girl, do you think superpowers are everything?" Peterleaned closer to her, saying with a mischievous smile.

"In terms of being a superhero, you still have a lot to learn, Miss Stacy."

"I am not just Spider-Man; I am also a Grandmaster of Martial Arts, a complete form strengthened multiple times." Peter pointed to his own chest.

"Your twenty-five tons are indeed strong, but in front of me, it's merely a beginner apprentice."

"Hmph!" Gwen snorted proudly, pouncing onto him in defiance and pinning Peter beneath her.

"I don't believe it! I'm full of energy now! Want to try another morning training session? I promise I can beat you this time!"

Peter felt the weight on him and looked into those challenging blue eyes; the fire within him was reignited.

"You asked for this."

Peter flipped over, instantly reversing the advantage.

"It seems last night's lesson wasn't deep enough. Then let Instructor Peter give you another class..."

In the morning light, the room was once again filled with laughter and a sweet atmosphere.

For Peter, this wonderful day had just begun.

...

After a round of friendly sparring that was far from equal but sufficiently intense, Gwen finally settled down completely.

She lay on the bed, staring blankly at the ceiling, her entire being entering a state of detached serenity.

"I give up," Gwen murmured to herself, a hint of amused helplessness in her voice.

"Peter, tell me honestly, where exactly is your limit?"

Peter, who was putting on his shirt, turned back when he heard her, revealing a brilliant smile as he buttoned it up and teased:

"A man's limit is a secret."

"However, for you, my Spider-Woman, I welcome you to challenge me again anytime, as long as you aren't afraid of getting tired."

Gwen rolled her eyes.

Although she verbally refused to yield, her body honestly indicated, "Not today."

She had to admit that in terms of being a superhero, whether it was combat experience or physical reserves, she still had a long way to go.

The two changed clothes and washed up as usual.

Downstairs, Aunt May had already prepared hot pancakes.

Uncle Ben was not there; he had probably gone for his run right on schedule.

After breakfast, they bid farewell to Aunt May and got into the familiar old Ford, heading to Osborn Industries for work.

This kind of life was quite pleasant for Peter now.

If it were the Spider-Man from the original story, he might be worrying about rent or having just been fired by the pizza shop owner for being late.

But the current Peter was not only financially free but also the Chief Consultant for Osborn, making going to work feel more like an enjoyment than a burden.

"And today's daily mission is very simple," Peter glanced at the system panel.

"[Daily Mission: Qualified Boyfriend and Mentor]"

"[Today's Goal: Assist girlfriend Gwen in completing her internship and provide academic guidance.]"

"[Reward: 1000 Experience Points, 1 Free Attribute Point.]"

"Accompanying my girlfriend to work for a whole day is practically a freebie question."

This daily mission was the same as before; Peter just needed to quietly spend a wonderful day accompanying Gwen.

For him, this kind of mission presented absolutely no difficulty.

...

Osborn Tower, thirty-third floor, Peter's private laboratory.

Gwen, now wearing a white lab coat, quickly got into character.

Although she had gained superpowers, she had not given up on her academic dreams.

On the contrary, possessing a super-brain and boundless energy only made her desire for scientific exploration more intense.

"Alright, student Gwen," Peter stood beside the experiment bench, pointing to a set of biological samples under the microscope.

"Yesterday we covered gene identification; today we are advancing to practical application—gene knockout."

He handed Gwen a small white mouse specifically for the experiment.

"Your task is to use CRISPR technology to precisely knock out the tyrosine enzyme gene that controls melanin synthesis in this mouse's body."

"If successful, all of its offspring will become albino."

"This requires extremely high stability and micro-manipulation skills, perfect for training your control over your new powers."

"Understood." Gwen took the pipette, her expression focused.

She took a deep breath and used the breathing technique from the Flowing Water Rock Smashing Fist to regulate her heart rate.

The power that was originally somewhat restless instantly calmed down.

Chapter 85: Armament Haki

Looking at Gwen's focused, even captivating profile, Peternodded with satisfaction.

"Since she's busy, I should get down to some real business too."

Peter sat down in a nearby swivel chair, choosing not to disturb Gwen, and instead sank his consciousness into the system.

Last night.

The raid against the Brotherhood of Mutants had been incredibly fruitful.

Not only had he rescued Councilman Kelly, completing a high-difficulty commission for S.H.I.E.L.D., gaining a wave of experience points and skill points.

He had also obtained precious Mutant genes.

Besides that.

What Peter looked forward to the most was the random reward obtained after completing the mission—

[Special Reward: Random Skill Draw Chance * 1]

"Come on, let me see what good stuff I can draw."

Peter rubbed his hands together, and with a thought, commanded, "System, draw!"

In his mind.

A huge virtual roulette wheel began to spin rapidly.

This time.

The segments on the wheel were no longer ordinary items, but icons flickering with strange light.

Representing various types of skills.

Passive skills, active skills, as well as attack, defense, control...

The pointer spun quickly.

Finally, it slowly stopped on a fist icon that was inky black yet emitted a metallic sheen.

[Ding! Congratulations on obtaining the skill: Armament Haki]

[Source: One Piece World]

[Level: LV1 (Beginner)]

[Skill Description: This is a latent power hidden deep within the body, the materialization of willpower.

When used, this power can cover the body's surface or weapons, forming an indestructible, invisible armor.]

[Current Effect:]

1. Hardening: Greatly increases defense and attack power; skin hardness is comparable to steel.

Seeing this skill, Peter's eyes instantly lit up.

"What a great item!"

Although it wasn't some World-destroying cultivation technique.

For the current Peter, this was definitely one of the most practical skills.

According to the system's judgment criteria.

[Armament Haki] clearly belonged to the "Martial Arts" or "Melee" type of skill.

It was perfect for filling the massive slot requiring 100 skills for [Path of the Martial Saint].

More importantly.

It could perfectly compensate for Peter's weakness.

Although Peter's current strength was high and agility was also high, his [Constitution] attribute was relatively lacking.

Even though he was much stronger than ordinary people.

When facing certain high-penetration attacks, such as Deadpool's Carbonadium blade or Wolverine's claws, there was still a risk of injury.

And Armament Haki was the strongest shield.

"At LV1 it can harden the skin; if it's trained to a profound level..."

Peter recalled the feats from One Piece in his mind.

"Advanced Armament Haki can not only cover the whole body, even weapons, but also strike without contact, release Haki externally, or perform internal destruction, directly attacking the enemy's internal organs."

This was a perfect match for the penetrating force of [Flowing Water Rock Smashing Fist]!

Moreover.

The characteristic of Armament Haki countering elemental transformation was practically a divine skill in the Marvel Universe.

Think about it.

Among Spider-Man's classic villains, how many were troublesome elemental types?

Sandman, Electro, Hydro-Man, Molten Man...

In the comics.

Peter often had to exploit environmental weaknesses to fight these people, like splashing water on Sandman or using insulators against Electro.

But with Armament Haki.

He could completely ignore attributes and just throw a punch to teach them a lesson.

"This trade was a huge profit."

Peter looked at the newly added [Armament Haki (LV1)] in the skill bar, but didn't rush to allocate points.

Skill points were precious.

This type of skill that required tempering willpower should be practiced often, combined with actual combat.

The initial LV1 upgrade should not be difficult.

It would be most cost-effective to wait until the skill level was higher and he hit a bottleneck before using precious skill points for breakthroughs.

The drawing session ended, and Peter was in high spirits. He shifted his attention back to the workbench.

On the screen.

The analysis report for the spoils brought back from last night was being displayed.

In addition to the genes of Mister Negative and Tombstone, there was now another bombshell—a blood sample from Sovereign.

"An Omega-level Mutant..."

Peter looked at the structural diagram emitting a faint golden halo, his eyes filled with greed and caution.

"The value of this thing is almost ten times the combined value of Tombstone and Mister Negative."

Sovereign possessed abilities like telekinesis, telepathy, flight, and immortality.

If these abilities could be extracted...

"But I can't rush this."

Peter took a deep breath, suppressing the impulse to immediately modify himself.

"Mutant X-genes are very aggressive, especially Omega-level ones."

"If directly merged with me, it might cause severe rejection reactions, or even lead to gene collapse."

"I need experiments, lots of experiments."

Peter looked at the two successfully hatched 'Tombstone Spiders' and 'Negative Spiders' in the incubation pods.

"My Spider Legion plan needs to expand."

Peter formulated a scientific research route in his mind.

"First, try transplanting fragments of Sovereign's gene into the Super Spiders to see if I can cultivate 'Telekinetic Spiders'."

"Then, study the conditions under which multiple abilities can coexist within the same organism."

This was destined to be a long and complex endeavor, but Peter was confident.

... Meanwhile.

Deep beneath Osborn Tower, on the tenth underground floor.

This was the highest security 'S-Rank' restricted area in all of Osborn Industries.

Without the authorization credentials of Peter, Harry, or Norman Osborn himself, not even a fly could get in.

In this huge laboratory filled with cold-toned lighting and precision instruments.

The atmosphere was extremely tense.

A dozen or so researchers in white lab coats were gathered around a circular bio-reactor, staring intently at the data on the screen.

Standing at the very front were three people.

One was a shadow clone of Peter Parker.

He wore a white lab coat, held a clipboard, and his expression was calm and focused.

This was a shadow clone created by Peter previously, who had remained in the laboratory to conduct research work.

Today.

The laboratory had finally achieved a breakthrough result.

The man standing next to Peter was Dr. Connors, whose severed arm had been regenerated.

He appeared more confident than before, and the composure belonging to a top scholar shone in his eyes.

And the man standing in the middle was the helmsman of the Osborn Empire—Norman Osborn.

Norman's appearance at this moment was somewhat alarming.

He wore a wrinkled shirt, and his loosened tie hung around his neck.

His hair was messy, and his eye sockets were sunken.

His eyes were bloodshot, and the entire person looked like a patient who had just escaped from a mental institution.

But his gaze was clearer and more excited than ever before.

In order to solve the disease that had plagued the Osborn Family for generations, clinging to them like a curse.

Norman had stayed in this laboratory for a full half a month.

He neglected food and sleep, draining his own vitality.

All for the sake of exchanging for a hope to survive, and to ensure his son Harry could also live.

"Fusion rate... 98%... 99%..."

Norman stared intently at the screen, his voice hoarse, his hands gripping the edge of the control console so tightly that his knuckles turned white.

"It must succeed... it has to succeed!"

Chapter 86: Conquering the Genetic Defect

Peter's shadow clone stood beside him, clearly sensing Norman's desperate resolve.

"Don't worry, Uncle Norman."

Peter spoke, his voice steady.

"The Decay Rate Algorithm is perfectly integrated, and Dr.Connors' healing factor also played a crucial stabilizing role. We will win this time."

Actually,

if it were purely about developing the "Super Soldier Serum," it wouldn't be difficult.

Osborn Industries had long been researching similar technology, and the Decay Rate Peter possessed provided immense help.

But for Osborn,

the real difficulty lay in—curing the disease.

They aimed to enhance the human body and forge super-soldiers while,

at the genetic level,

completely eliminating the defects of hereditary diseases.

Furthermore, they had to ensure it wouldn't result in side effects like the 'alternate personality' or 'berserker rage' seen in the original story.

This was equivalent to

replacing the engine of a speeding race car while simultaneously fixing its original brake failure.

"Beep—!!!"

Just then, a long alarm sound echoed throughout the entire laboratory.

Everyone's hearts leaped into their throats.

On the screen,

the red progress bar finally reached the end, instantly turning into a reassuring green.

[Gene Fusion Complete.]

[Sample Code Name: OZ-01 (Final Version).]

[Status: Stable.]

"We succeeded..."

Dr. Connors took off his glasses: "We did it! This is a miracle in medical history!"

The massive reactor slowly opened.

The white cold air dissipated, revealing three syringes emitting a faint emerald green light at the center.

The liquid was pure and transparent, without any impurities, like the most perfect jade.

"This is the antidote, and also the power."

Norman tremblingly extended his hand and picked up one of the test tubes.

He gazed at the green liquid under the light, as if watching his own rebirth.

Under the butterfly effect influence of the transmigrator Peter,

this version of the enhancement agent was definitely far superior to the unfinished product in the movie that turned Norman into a madman.

It eliminated the toxin causing schizophrenia, integrated the powerful regenerative ability of the Lizard serum, and incorporated the perfect Decay Rate Algorithm provided by Peter.

By injecting it,

Norman would not only completely cure his hereditary disease but also directly gain physical fitness surpassing Captain America.

Strength, speed, endurance, and self-healing ability—all aspects would break human limits.

"No schizophrenia, no berserker side effects."

Peter's shadow clone looked at the vial,

musing to himself,

"This is the true Super Soldier Serum, or rather, this is how the Green Goblin should be."

Norman turned his head to look at Peter, his bloodshot eyes filled with gratitude.

"Peter..."

Norman's voice choked up.

"Thank you. If it weren't for your algorithm, if it weren't for your help, the Osborn Family... would have been finished long ago."

He knew

that more than half the credit for this miracle belonged to the young man before him.

"This is what I should do, Uncle Norman."

Peter smiled, still maintaining a humble demeanor.

"After all, Harry is my best friend. I couldn't just watch him get hurt."

"Harry..."

Mentioning his son, Norman's gaze softened.

He took a deep breath, his eyes regaining their firm and sharp look—the aura belonging to a business emperor.

"Since the agent is successful, there's no need to wait any longer."

Norman rolled up his sleeves, revealing an arm covered in needle marks, "Let me be the first human test subject."

"Mr. Norman!"

Dr. Connors looked worried, "Shouldn't we conduct animal testing first...?"

"There's no time, Connors."

Norman shook his head.

"I know my body. I won't last much longer, and I trust our research results."

He looked at Peter with a sense of entrustment in his eyes.

"Peter, help me operate the injection procedure. If anything happens to me, Harry and the company are in your hands."

"Don't worry, nothing will happen."

Peter walked to the control panel and rapidly typed on the keyboard.

"All indicators are perfect. You will only fall asleep, and when you wake up, you will have the healthiest body in the World."

"Begin injection."

As Peter pressed the Enter key,

Norman pushed the vial of emerald green agent into his own vein.

"Ugh—!!!"

As the liquid entered his bloodstream, Norman let out a painful muffled groan.

He felt like a ball of liquid flame drilling into his body, burning every nerve and reshaping every cell.

But he gritted his teeth and didn't cry out.

His muscles began to spasm and bulge, and the blood vessels under his skin erupted like a Blue Dragon.

His previously frail and depleted body was visibly growing stronger and fuller at a rapid pace.

A few minutes later,

the look of pain vanished from Norman's face.

Norman's breathing became steady, and his slightly stooped back straightened up perfectly.

When he opened his eyes again, the sharp glint that erupted in that instant made everyone present feel a jolt.

It was the look of power.

Norman Osborn had been reborn.

And this meant that the structure of Osborn Industries, and indeed the entire New York, was about to welcome a new storm.

He slowly sat up,

lowering his head, looking at his hands in disbelief.

Once,

these hands, due to long-term anxiety and the erosion of his hereditary disease, always had a slight, uncontrollable tremor.

His skin also appeared pale and withered, showing the deathly pallor of someone nearing the end of their life.

But now, everything had changed.

His palms were broad and powerful, his skin firm and elastic, and every finger was filled with explosive strength.

Norman tried clenching his fist.

"Crack!"

His knuckles emitted a crisp popping sound—a long-lost vitality belonging only to young life.

"I'm alive."

Norman took a deep breath. He could clearly feel

that liquid flame-like agent had completely merged into his blood, flowing into every corner of his entire body,

continuously providing him with seemingly endless energy.

This feeling

was like a dry, cracked riverbed suddenly receiving a surging river.

"Not just alive..."

Norman suddenly raised his head, his eyes blazing with sharp light. His previously cloudy eyeballs were now as clear as a falcon's.

"I feel like I'm stronger than when I was twenty!"

"Mr. Norman, please try not to get too excited for now."

Dr. Connors, though equally flushed with excitement, still performed his duty and reminded him,

"Although the external appearance is a great success, we need more detailed data to support it."

"Please lie on the comprehensive scanner immediately. We need to conduct a full, in-depth examination of your body."

"Good! I'll go right now!"

Norman agilely flipped off the bed and lay down in the scanner that looked like a space capsule.

"Whir—"

Blue scanning beams swept over Norman's body from head to toe again and again.

Peter's shadow clone stood in front of the control panel,

watching the rapidly scrolling data stream on the screen, the corner of his mouth curving slightly upward.

He knew

that the butterfly effect he brought had completely changed the trajectory of this World.

Chapter 87: Perfect Enhancement

Report the data!"

Dr. Connors shouted, his voice excited.

Several Researchers stared at the screen, their eyes wide open.

"My God, this is incredible!"

"Cell activity index: 400% increase! Mitochondrial energy efficiency: 500% increase!"

"Bone density has reached three times the human limit! Muscle fiber strength is comparable to Kevlar fiber!"

"Most importantly..."

A supervisor in charge of gene sequencing pointed to the perfect gene chain on the screen.

"The pathogenic gene fragments causing retrovirus-induced cell proliferation have completely disappeared! In their place is a brand new, highly stable super-genome!"

"Telomerase activity has returned to its peak. According to projections, Mr. Norman's current physiological age is equivalent to 25 years old."

"Moreover... his theoretical maximum lifespan has been extended by at least 120 years!"

"Perfect! This is perfect evolution!"

As these reports poured in,

The entire laboratory fell into a brief, dead silence, immediately followed by deafening cheers.

"We succeeded!"

"We have defeated the God of Death!"

Norman, walking down from the scanner, trembled as he listened to the data reports that sounded like heavenly music.

It wasn't fear; it was ecstasy.

It was the release after the Sword of Damocles, which had hung over his head for half his life, finally vanished.

"Hahaha... Hahahahaha!!"

Norman could no longer hold back.

He threw his head back and let out a wild and unrestrained laugh.

"Hahahaha! Damn genetic disease! Damn curse! Begone! All of you, begone!"

This laughter,

echoed in the empty underground laboratory, filled with the relief of surviving a catastrophe and the mockery of fate.

Ever since he watched his own father die painfully in his early forties due to total organ failure,

that fear,

was like a cold venomous snake, coiling around his heart day and night.

Norman worked desperately, building a commercial empire with all his might.

It wasn't just for ambition; it was to leave enough trump cards for his son, Harry, before the God of Death knocked on his door.

He dared not even get too close to Harry, fearing he might suddenly go mad or die.

But now,

all the gloom had been swept away.

Not only had he survived, but he had also gained the superpower he had dreamed of.

He would have enough time to rule his empire, watch Harry grow up, and even see his grandchildren born.

"Hoo..."

After laughing for a full minute, Norman finally calmed his emotions.

He clenched his fist,

feeling the surging power within his body.

He turned around,

his gaze sweeping over everyone to land directly on the young man who had maintained a constant smile.

Peter Parker.

Norman strode over, each step steady and powerful.

The old man who previously needed medication to maintain his energy had completely vanished at this moment.

In his place,

was a hegemon in his prime.

He walked up to Peter and extended both hands, pressing them heavily onto Peter's shoulders.

"Peter."

Norman's voice was a little deep, carrying undisguised gratitude and emotion.

"Thanks to you, truly, thanks to your help."

Although Dr. Connors was excellent, and the Osborn team worked hard, Norman knew better than anyone.

What truly brought this project back from the brink of death,

was Peter.

This young man was simply an Angel sent by God to save the Osborn Family.

His understanding of genetic engineering, and his intuition that seemed to foresee the results,

made both Norman and Connors, two academic titans, feel awestruck, even somewhat ashamed.

"This is what I should do, Uncle Norman."

Peter felt the grip on his shoulders, a force strong enough to crush the bones of an ordinary person, yet he maintained a humble and appropriate smile on his face.

"You have always taken good care of me, and Harry is my best brother. It is my duty to help if I can."

"Furthermore..."

Peter pointed to the precise instruments surrounding them.

"Completing such a highly challenging project is itself a source of great accomplishment for me."

Looking at Peter's clear, confident, and intelligent eyes,

Norman's affection for him was practically overflowing.

"Peter, you truly are a remarkably talented young man."

Norman sighed, with a hint of regret in his tone.

"To be honest, sometimes I am truly envious of Richard; he fathered such a good son."

"Although Harry is also a good child, he... in terms of talent and ability, he truly falls far short when compared to you."

This was a father's most honest assessment.

Although Harry wasn't stupid, he was indecisive and lacked the boldness to create something from nothing and lead the charge.

But Peter,

not only possessed superior intelligence, but his demeanor also held a composure and decisiveness far exceeding his age.

"Peter."

Norman suddenly became serious, his gaze becoming incredibly focused.

"If you are willing, once Harry takes over the company, I want you to serve as the Co-CEO of Osborn Industries."

"Even... if you are willing to change your surname and marry into the family, I would want you to manage the company."

When these words were spoken,

the surrounding Researchers were all stunned.

This was Osborn Industries! A top-tier global military and biotechnology giant!

Norman actually wanted to hand it over to an outsider to manage?

How much trust and regard was that?

However,

faced with this invitation worth hundreds of billions, Peterjust smiled faintly.

"Let's forget it, Uncle Norman."

Peter shook his head and refused without hesitation.

"You know my nature. It's fine for me to tinker in the laboratory or do things I enjoy."

"If you ask me to sit in an office all day looking at reports, arguing with those old men on the Board of Directors, and managing such a huge company, I'll go crazy."

"That kind of tiring work should be left to Harry."

Peter joked.

"I'll just be a consultant, take some dividends, and enjoy life."

No joke. He was Spider-Man, and the future underground emperor.

More importantly,

what Peter loved doing most was collecting various System rewards. How could he have time to be a CEO? That would narrow his path too much.

When Norman heard this,

a flicker of disappointment crossed his eyes, but he admired Peter's detachment from fame and fortune even more.

"Alright, Peter."

Norman patted his shoulder.

"To each his own. But you must remember, the doors of Osborn Industries are always open to you."

"If you change your mind one day, tell me anytime."

He truly regarded Peter as closer than his own son.

In Norman's heart, Peter was not only his savior but also his spiritual successor.

"Alright."

Norman composed himself and turned to look at the clock on the control panel.

"Since the experiment has been confirmed safe and has no side effects, we cannot wait any longer."

His eyes sharpened.

"Harry is still upstairs, bearing the pressure from the Board of Directors for me. He also has the right to enjoy this gift of new life."

Norman walked to his desk and directly dialed the extension for the Chairman's office.

Chapter 88: The Reborn Osborn

Osborn Tower, Top Floor.

Inside the Chairman's office, Harry was buried in a mountain of documents.

His brow was tightly furrowed, and his complexion was somewhat pale.

Clearly,

the recent pressure was making him feel suffocated.

His father was in seclusion researching, the old foxes on the Board of Directors were constantly pressuring him, and he also had to worry about suddenly falling ill one day...

All of this was weighing down on the young man's shoulders.

"Ring ring ring—"

The piercing ring of the red phone suddenly sounded.

Harry jumped in fright, nearly dropping the pen in his hand. He took a deep breath and picked up the phone:

"Hello? This is Harry."

"Harry, it's me."

His father's familiar voice came from the receiver, but unlike the weak, tired tone of the past.

This time,

his father's voice was full of vigor, deep and powerful, exuding an irrepressible joy and dominance.

"Dad?"

Harry was momentarily stunned. "You sound... in good spirits?"

"More than just good spirits."

Norman laughed on the other end of the line. "Listen, son."

"Put down all the work in your hands. Whether it's the Board of Directors or a Military order, throw it all aside."

"Now, immediately, go to the underground tenth-floor bio-laboratory via the elevator."

"Our research has succeeded."

Hearing that last sentence, Harry's brain exploded with a loud bang, going blank, immediately followed by ecstasy surging into his heart.

"Really?!"

Harry suddenly stood up, the chair nearly tipping over. "You mean... that illness?"

"It's resolved, completely resolved."

Norman's voice was firm and strong.

"Hurry down, son, come and receive the treatment. The new era belonging to the Osborn Family has begun."

"Okay! I'm coming right now!"

Harry dropped the phone.

He didn't even bother putting on his coat, rushing out of the office like a child.

The secretary watched in astonishment.

Young Mr. Osborn, usually so composed, was showing such loss of composure.

But before she could ask, Harry had already rushed into the elevator, frantically pressing the down button.

...

After a moment.

"Ding—"

The elevator doors on the tenth underground floor slowly slid open.

Harry ran out, panting. His heart was beating violently, partly from running, but mostly from nervousness and anticipation.

"Dad! Peter!"

Harry rushed into the laboratory, his gaze eagerly searching for his father's figure.

However,

when his sight landed on the tall figure in the center of the laboratory, his back turned to him, talking with Peter,

Harry froze.

That back...

The broad, solid back stretched the white lab coat taut, the lines of muscle clearly visible even through the fabric.

His height was easily over six feet three inches.

He stood straight and tall like a pine tree, radiating a suffocating sense of pressure.

Who... who was this?

The new head of security?

"Um, excuse me, where is my father?" Harry asked subconsciously.

Hearing the voice,

the tall man turned around.

When Harry clearly saw that face, his eyeballs almost popped out, and his jaw dropped straight to the floor.

It was a familiar, yet strange face.

The contours of his features,

it was indeed Norman Osborn.

But the previously slack skin had become tight and smooth, the wrinkles around his eyes had vanished, and his hair had become thick and lustrous.

The entire person looked, at most, in his early thirties.

He even seemed more energetic and masculine than Harrylooked.

If,

Norman before was a crooked tree about to wither,

then the current Norman was a towering giant tree, full of wild vitality.

"I... what..."

Harry was dumbfounded, even letting out an involuntary curse.

"Dad?! Is that you? What hormone shot did you take? Or did you get plastic surgery?!"

This was too exaggerated!

Harry looked his father up and down, feeling his worldview being shaken.

This wasn't curing an illness?

This was practically rejuvenation, plus a second puberty!

Seeing his son's ghost-struck expression, Norman's lips curved into a triumphant smile.

He strode forward.

Extending his arm, which had become thick and strong, he threw an arm around Harry's shoulder.

"What? You don't even recognize your own father anymore?"

Norman's voice was booming.

Just a pat on Harry's shoulder made Harry feel like he had been hit by a bear, half his body going numb.

"Ow ow ow..."

Harry winced, rubbing his shoulder, but the joy in his eyes could not be hidden.

"My God, Dad, are you really better?"

"Not just better, Harry."

Norman clenched his fist, and a sonic boom echoed in the air.

"This is Super Soldier Enhancement. I feel like I could punch a cow to death right now."

Peter, standing nearby, chuckled and interjected:

"To be precise, he is stronger than Captain America. Uncle Norman's current physical fitness is several times that of the human peak."

"Peter! You're here too!"

Harry became even more excited when he saw his good brother.

"You fixed it, didn't you? I knew it! I knew that as long as you were here, nothing couldn't be solved!"

He rushed over and gave Peter a big hug.

"Alright, alright, we can catch up later."

Although Norman was very pleased to see Harry and Peter on good terms, he was now more concerned about his son's health.

He interrupted their hug and pointed to the experimental bed nearby.

"Harry, now it's your turn."

Norman's tone became serious; it was the unquestionable authority of a father.

"Although you haven't fallen ill yet, the genetic defect is like a ticking time bomb. We must completely defuse it."

"And..."

Norman looked at his son's handsome but somewhat thin frame, shaking his head with a hint of disdain.

"Look at you, too weak. As the heir to the Osborn Family, you need a strong physique to carry this empire."

"This serum not only cures the illness but can also turn you into a true super-soldier."

Norman took a fresh syringe glowing with emerald green light from the refrigerator.

He handed it to Harry.

"Now, immediately, lie down on the bed."

Harry looked at the serum, then at his father's mountain-like, imposing physique. A flicker of longing crossed his eyes.

Who wouldn't want to become stronger?

Who wouldn't want a healthy body?

Especially after seeing his father's transformation, Harry's last shred of hesitation vanished.

"Okay!"

Harry didn't hesitate at all.

He took off his suit jacket, loosened his tie, and obediently lay down on the experimental bed.

"Come on, Dad, Peter."

Harry took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and a look of facing death appeared on his face.

"Turn me into a superhuman."

Peter stepped forward, skillfully attaching the monitoring straps to Harry and adjusting the instrument parameters.

"Don't worry, Harry."

Peter's voice sounded by his ear.

"Just sleep for a while. When you wake up, you'll find the whole World is different."

"Begin injection."

At Norman's command, Peter pressed the button, and the emerald green liquid slowly pushed into Harry's vein.

"Uh..."

Harry's brow suddenly furrowed, and his body began to tremble slightly.

The energy modifying his genes was erupting inside him, reshaping his bones and muscles.

Norman stood by the bedside.

He held his son's hand tightly, his eyes full of concern.

Peter watched the scene, feeling a sense of relief.

With the enhancement of the Osborn father and son completed,

in the original story,

the curse of the "Green Goblin family" that caused countless tragedies was finally completely ended in this World.

Instead,

there would be two allies possessing superhuman strength, remaining rational, and standing on the same side as Peter.

"The great ship of Osborn Industries is finally stable,"

Peter thought to himself.

"With this super father-son duo holding the fort, plus the technical support I provide..."

"In the future, whether facing pressure from S.H.I.E.L.D., commercial competition, or even alien invasion, we will have enough confidence."

More importantly,

Peter's position within Osborn Industries would become unshakeable.

He was not just a consultant, but the savior of this family.

Chapter 89: Strength Test

As the last wisp of emerald-green liquid was completely absorbed by his body, Harry slowly opened his eyes.

In that instant,

A flash of lightning seemed to streak across the depths of his pupils. His originally somewhat cloudy and hazy gaze became clear and sharp.

"Beep—Life sign monitoring complete."

"Subject status: Perfect. All indicators are stable."

As the electronic voice announced, Harry sat up.

His movement was a bit too sudden, almost causing him to bounce right off the bed.

This feeling of lightness, where his body seemed out of his control, stunned him for a moment. Then, he looked down at his own body.

The former rich second generation, who always wore bespoke suits, looking handsome but slightly thin and weak,

Had completely vanished.

What replaced him was a body that could be called perfect.

His chest, which was originally flat or even somewhat slender, now bulged with two thick pectorals.

The eight well-defined abs on his abdomen looked as if they were carved from the hardest rock.

The biceps on his arms had smooth contours, brimming with explosive power, and his skin was tight, radiating a healthy bronze glow.

What was even more astonishing was that

His very skeleton seemed to have been stretched and reshaped in this short time.

His original height of about 1.85 meters had been forcefully stretched to nearly 1.95 meters, making him look tall and straight like a pine tree.

"Is this me?"

Harry raised his hands in disbelief, looking at his thick wrists and powerful palms.

He tried clenching his fist, and the cracking sound from his knuckles was like popping beans.

"How does it feel, son?"

Norman stood to the side, looking at his renewed son, his eyes full of pride and relief.

"It feels... it couldn't possibly feel any better!"

Harry quickly walked to the floor-to-ceiling mirror in the laboratory.

The man reflected in the mirror was burly, with knotted muscles.

But he wasn't bloated like a bodybuilder; instead, he displayed a streamlined aesthetic that combined both speed and power.

If,

The former Harry at Empire University

Was often physically overpowered by those football jocks, like Lightning Thompson,

Then the current him,

Just standing there, the aura of male hormones was enough to crush the entire school team.

Even his previously somewhat youthful and tender face had become more angular and overwhelmingly handsome due to minor skeletal adjustments and an improvement in his spirit.

This result

Was ten thousand times more perfect than any cosmetic surgery in the World.

"Holy crap..."

Harry touched his iron-hard abs and couldn't help but jump up in excitement.

"This is too miraculous! Is this the power of science? Peter, you are simply a god!"

He turned his head,

Looking at his good brother standing by the control console, the admiration in his eyes was practically overflowing.

He even felt like kneeling down to Peter right then and there.

Although he knew his father and Dr. Connors were also very capable, Harry was clear in his heart.

The true core technology belonged to Peter.

"Don't be so exaggerated, Harry."

Peter's shadow clone smiled and waved his hand, explaining while recording the final data on the screen.

"This is what you deserve, and according to the data, your enhancement effect is even better than Uncle Norman's."

"Really?" Harry's eyes lit up.

"That's right."

Peter pointed to the comparison chart on the screen.

"Although Uncle Norman was successfully enhanced, he is nearly fifty years old, and he suffered greatly from a hereditary disease before, leaving his physical foundation severely depleted."

"Although the serum repaired his body and allowed him to return to his peak, his upper limit was ultimately affected a little."

"But you are different," Peter looked at Harry.

"You are only in your early twenties, the time when your physical functions are most vigorous and cell activity is strongest."

"And you haven't developed the illness yet, so the chemical reaction this serum produced in your body was more intense and more thorough."

"In other words, you are now a super soldier who is even more perfect than your father."

Hearing this,

Norman wasn't angry at all; instead, he burst out laughing.

"Good! Good! The student surpasses the master!"

Norman stepped forward: "The future of Osborn ultimately belongs to you. The stronger you are, the more reassured I am."

"However..."

Norman's tone shifted, and a trace of warlike light flashed in his eyes.

"Having the appearance isn't enough. We need to test just how much of this so-called super strength has been achieved."

"Test?"

Harry was eager to try. "Where should we test? The gym?"

"The gym?"

Norman scoffed and shook his head.

"That's a place for ordinary people. If you use even a little bit of force now, you'll tear the equipment apart."

"Come with me. We'll go to a place more suitable for a monster."

...

Osborn Tower, Heavy Weapon Testing Ground.

This area was originally used to test various individual weapons, exoskeleton armors, and explosives.

The surrounding walls were poured with half-meter-thick reinforced concrete and even reinforced with explosion-proof steel plates.

At this moment,

The center of the area had been cleared.

Several staff members in protective suits were driving forklifts,

Moving several heavy concrete slabs and alloy steel plates in and securing them onto the testing racks.

The air

Was filled with the cold, hard scent of engine oil and metal.

Peter stood in the control room behind the observation window, watching the father and son below through the bulletproof glass.

Dr. Connors was adjusting the high-speed camera nearby.

"Are you ready?"

Norman took off his white lab coat, wearing only a tight tactical vest that revealed his enviable lean muscle.

"Ready whenever."

Harry also took off his top, moving his wrists and ankles, his eyes burning with excitement.

"Then let's begin."

Norman pointed to the concrete wall in front of Harry, which was twenty centimeters thick and used to test the power of grenades.

"Use all your strength and smash it."

"Alright!"

Harry took a deep breath. He didn't understand any technique for exerting force; he relied entirely on instinct.

He suddenly pushed off hard with his right foot, instantly creating a dent in the specially treated non-slip rubber mat on the floor.

Using this reactive force,

His body shot out like an arrow leaving a bowstring.

His waist twisted, transferring power from his legs to his spine, and then converging on his right arm.

"Hah!"

Harry let out a low roar. His massive fist whistled through the air as it slammed violently against the concrete wall.

"BOOM—!!!"

A deafening explosion erupted, as if a hand grenade had detonated inside the enclosed testing ground.

Dust flew, and gravel scattered.

Under the slow-motion replay of the high-speed camera, it could be clearly seen that

The hard concrete disintegrated like a brittle cookie the moment it contacted Harry's fist.

The huge kinetic energy pierced through the wall, and countless cracks spread outward in a radial pattern.

When the smoke and dust cleared,

The thick concrete wall had a large hole, half a meter in diameter, blasted through its center, with uneven rebar stumps around the edges.

As for Harry's fist,

It had only suffered a minor graze, and the skin was even healing at a visible rate.

"Oh my God..."

Harry looked at his masterpiece, his voice trembling with excitement.

"This punch must weigh several tons! Am I really Superman now?!"

This kind of power, capable of destroying structures purely by relying on his physical body, was simply a miracle to him, who previously struggled to even move heavy objects.

Chapter 90: The Dragon King Returns

Very good."

Norman nodded, his eyes full of approval.

"According to the force gauge, your instantaneous burst power has reached 4.2 tons."

"My turn."

Norman walked to another testing rig, where a piece of Military alloy steel plate was fixed.

Compared to Harry's unconventional methods,

he was clearly more experienced, immediately sinking his stance and steadying himself, his breathing becoming deep and rhythmic.

"Ha!"

Norman exhaled as he threw an extremely standard straight punch.

"Clang—!!!"

A crisp, piercing metallic collision sound echoed throughout the area,

making people's eardrums ache.

It didn't cause widespread destruction like Harry's, but the effect was even more astonishing.

The incredibly hard alloy steel plate was actually punched through, leaving a smooth circular hole!

The fist went directly through the steel plate and got stuck inside.

Norman pulled out his hand,

shaking off the metal debris on his hand.

Although his strength test result was 3.1 tons, slightly less than Harry's, his strength control and penetration were superior.

"One centimeter steel plate, pierced."

Norman looked at the hole and smiled in satisfaction.

"Although we don't have flashy superpowers, for us, this is enough."

He looked around at the dazzling array of prototype weapons.

There was the unpainted green goblin glider, the single-soldier exoskeleton armor being debugged, and electromagnetic weapons like the Gauss Rifle.

"Ever since that playboy Tony Stark returned from the Middle East, his brain seemed to have been kicked by a donkey; he actually shut down Stark Industries' weapons manufacturing division."

Norman sneered.

"He handed over this huge piece of cake, and now the U.S. Military is as anxious as ants on a hot pan."

"They desperately need a new partner to fill this gap, and Osborn Industries is the only choice."

Norman walked up to a highly futuristic Gauss Rifle and lifted it with one hand.

"Imagine this, Harry."

Norman raised the gun and aimed at a distant target.

"If we can provide a super-soldier that isn't uncontrollable like the Hulk, nor as expensive as the Iron Man Suit..."

"One that only requires an injection of serum, coupled with our equipment, and can be mass-produced..."

"A soldier wearing Green Goblin armor, riding a glider, holding a Gauss Rifle, and possessing three tons of arm strength and a healing factor."

"A single-soldier combat unit like that would be enough to sweep any battlefield."

Ambition flickered in Norman's eyes.

"The Military will go crazy for this. Hundreds of billions in orders will fly into our pockets like snowflakes."

"Osborn Industries will completely surpass Stark and become the world's number one Military-industrial giant!"

Harry couldn't help but feel his blood boil listening to his father's grand blueprint.

"This is insane, but if we are in our current state, we can indeed achieve it."

Father and son exchanged glances, both seeing the same craving in each other's eyes—a desire for power, for authority, for control over the future.

"Alright, the strength test ends here."

Norman put down the gun,

clapped his hands, and his expression returned to the sternness and authority befitting a Chairman.

"Son, stop playing around here. Since the enhancement is successfully completed, we have more important things to do."

"More important things?"

Harry was momentarily stunned. "What could be more important than this?"

"Of course, it's—cleaning house."

Norman turned around, looking toward the elevator, a cold, cruel smile curling at his lips.

"I heard that while I was in seclusion researching, the old geezers on the Board of Directors were jumping around quite a bit."

As Norman spoke,

he picked up his suit jacket from a nearby rack and slowly put it on.

Even though the suit

appeared somewhat tight due to his sudden increase in size,

it only served to accentuate the explosive power he possessed, capable of bursting the seams at any moment.

"They thought I was dying, that the Osborn Family's hereditary disease was finally taking me away."

Norman adjusted his tie.

"They thought you were young and easy to bully, so they couldn't wait to carve up my company and kick you, kid, out of the picture."

"It's time to give those greedy vultures a little taste of what happens when they cross us."

Upon hearing this, the smile on Harry's face also faded, replaced by a long-suppressed anger.

For the past week,

he had endured too much pressure alone in the top-floor office.

The ugly faces of those shareholders and the proposals meant to kick him while he was down had made Harryutterly sick.

"You're right, Father."

Harry clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white.

"Those bastards were even discussing plans to split up the technology division. It's time to make them shut up."

"Not only must we make them shut up,"

Norman walked up to Harry, smoothed his slightly messy collar, his eyes like knives.

"We must also make them fear, let them know that the Osborn Family has not declined, but is stronger than ever before."

"If they see that I not only didn't die, but have also reverted to youth and become a super-soldier..."

"I think that scene will be quite spectacular."

With that, father and son shared a knowing smile.

Immediately after,

Norman took Harry and left, intending to convene a Board meeting right away to make those disloyal individuals pay the price.

Dr. Connors and his son couldn't help but sigh.

"Osborn Industries is about to be reshuffled."

He knew what kind of person Norman was—a true schemer, a shark that devoured people in the business world without spitting out the bones.

Now,

this shark had grown steel teeth and sharp claws. The shareholders attempting rebellion would likely meet a miserable end.

In the spacious and quiet laboratory,

only Peter and Dr. Connors remained.

Connors took off his glasses and rubbed his somewhat strained eyes, organizing the experimental data from just now.

Although exhausted,

his spirit was in a state of excitement.

As a scientist who had dedicated his life to genetic research, being able to personally cure Norman's terminal illness and create a perfect super-soldier

was undoubtedly the highlight of his career.

"Doctor."

Peter's voice suddenly broke the silence.

He wasn't in a hurry to leave, instead leaning against the control console, idly playing with an empty test tube in his hand.

"Are you interested in cooperating with me to complete an even more challenging project?"

Dr. Connors was startled,

put his glasses back on, and looked curiously at the young genius: "What project, Peter?"

"Your brain is always filled with whimsical ideas that are hard to keep up with. You even cracked the Decay Rate Algorithm; what else could possibly stump you?"

He knew

Peter's abilities were extremely strong, perhaps even unfathomable.

If even he needed to seek cooperation,

then the difficulty of that project must be hellish, or perhaps an attempt to overturn existing biological common sense.

He guessed correctly.

Peter straightened up, walked to the holographic projection table, tapped his finger, and brought up two completely different gene maps.

These were topics he had been working on in the Level 33 lab that he hadn't fully conquered yet.

"This is a topic concerning compatibility,"

Peter pointed at the screen.

"I want to research secondary, or even tertiary, gene editing on already transformed superhumans."

"To allow them to possess multiple different super-gene traits simultaneously."
