Chapter 2432 - Ch: 81-85

Chapter 81 Your technique is somewhat similar

Now, this is the only way.

Everyone began rummaging through the surrounding rooms.

But Sarah had vanished as if she had evaporated, leaving no trace.

Nick Fury's expression grew even grimmer.

Just then, Arthur slowly walked to the southern corner.

He lightly stomped his foot twice: "Don't look anymore, she's here!"

Upon hearing Nick Fury, he immediately led the others over quickly.

"Pry open this floorboard; there's another space underneath!"

Arthur said calmly, looking at the ground.

"Pry it open!"

Though Nick Fury wasn't entirely sure, he had to admit this guy had some skill.

The Agents took out their tools and forcefully pried open the floorboard seams.

With everyone's combined effort, the floorboard was lifted.

A hole about one square meter appeared before their eyes.

It was a stone staircase leading downwards, looking ancient.

"There's actually an underground passage down here?"

Nick Fury was a bit embarrassed; they had searched for a long time and found nothing, but this ordinary person had found it.

This made the few Agents seem particularly clumsy.

"Let's go."

Nick Fury took a deep breath, pulled out his flashlight, and walked at the very front.

Since there was a secret passage here, it was highly likely that Sarah was inside.

Nick Fury and Hill walked in front, three Agents brought up the rear, while Arthur and his group walked in the middle.

"Arthur, how did you discover it just now?"

Wanda lowered her voice and quietly asked Arthur, moving closer.

She had clearly used her perception just now but had completely failed to detect any secret space below.

"Someone set up an illusion here, which is why your perception was fooled!" Arthur said nonchalantly.

Although the opponent had hidden it very well, it couldn't be hidden from him. This kind of thing could only fool ordinary people.

If Wanda had been willing to focus her attention and search a certain area carefully, she would have discovered this tunnel sooner or later.

As they were about to reach the bottom, torches suddenly lit up on both sides of the passage.

Faint light flickered in the damp, dark passage, illuminating little but just enough to see their surroundings.

"Shh!" Nick Fury raised his hand, made a fist gesture, and at the same time turned off his flashlight, whispering, "Someone's talking up ahead!"

After they stopped, everyone could hear strange whispers coming from ahead.

The sound was extremely eerie, as if from the depths of hell, and they could vaguely make out several people chanting something.

"Let's go, let's see!" Nick Fury drew his weapon and led everyone quietly towards the end of the passage.

As they reached the corner at the end of the passage, a terrifying scene appeared before their eyes.

A huge space unfolded before them, about five hundred square meters.

Even stranger, it was filled with people, all with their backs to them, facing the stage.

On the stage, several Black Robe Person cultists were sitting together, whispering something.

"In this dark and profound night, the stars hide, and all things are silent. I, your humble and loyal devotee, in this place interwoven with shadows, offer my most devout reverence and highest sacrifice to you—the supreme Demon God Nightmare."

"Your existence, like the most hidden star in the night sky, though unseen, is omnipresent, guiding the lost deep into the innermost mysteries of the soul."

The Black Robe Person cultist's tone was devout yet fanatical, his voice hoarse yet sharp.

Arthur and his group appeared here, but the cultists performing the ritual were completely unaware.

And although the people below the stage had their eyes closed, their mouths kept curving upwards.

Only those Black Robe Person cultists, as if they were the true gods.

As the Black Robe Person cultists whispered, their bodies involuntarily trembled.

More and more bizarre smiles appeared on their faces, as if they had seen what they desired most.

"These people must have been mind-controlled!" Wandasaid, frowning.

She could clearly feel that these people were being manipulated.

"Hmm, they're performing a ritual." A hint of disgust flashed in Arthur's eyes, as if he was looking at annoying cockroaches.

These guys really aren't afraid of anything to achieve their goals.

"They're not trying to sacrifice all these people, are they!"

Hill's eyes were filled with surprise.

They had never understood why so many people had disappeared.

It turned out all these people had appeared here.

And judging by their complexions, they clearly hadn't eaten for several days.

"Look, Sarah is over there!"

Lorna, who had been silent, pointed to a nearby corner and whispered.

Behind the crowd, Sarah was seen with her eyes closed, a slight smile on her lips, staring motionlessly at the stage.

She was wearing white pajamas and looked particularly eerie at this moment.

"First, lure these cultists away!"

Nick Fury immediately gave the order.

Although he still didn't know what the other party was up to, saving people was the most urgent matter.

Just as he was about to rush out, a flash of Fire suddenly illuminated Nick Fury.

On the stage, several Black Robe Person slowly stood up, their gaze fixed on Nick Fury and his group.

The Black Robe Person in the middle slowly raised his hand and unveiled the hood on his head.

What was revealed was a withered, wrinkled face, like the bark of a tree that had died many years ago.

In the dim light, this face looked particularly terrifying.

The old man's mouth curved slightly upwards, and he laughed hoarsely: "Guests, what brings you here?"

...

"You're just putting on a show, release everyone immediately!"

Hill directly pulled out a gun from her leg and looked at the leading cult elder with a serious expression.

"Hehehe, you really have guts!"

The old man grinned, his smile so sinister it sent shivers down one's spine.

He clapped his hands on the ground, and a black mist suddenly emerged from where they had just been standing.

This black mist was like a large stone hitting the ground, exploding instantly.

After the black mist dispersed, a giant scorpion actually appeared before everyone.

This scorpion was entirely black, with a sharp tail, gently swaying, as if it could pounce at any moment.

Nick Fury and the others' expressions immediately changed when they saw this scene.

"Summoning magic?"

Arthur immediately became interested, stroking his chin in thought.

He didn't expect these cultists to actually have some skill.

Too few people could use this kind of summoning magic.

And these people's strength was even greater than he had imagined.

"Attack! They only have one scorpion!"

Nick Fury took a deep breath, gripped the gun in his hand, and prepared to charge.

Although this scorpion was over three meters long, they should still be able to handle it.

But just then, the large scorpion let out a roar.

Countless small scorpions suddenly emerged from the ground, densely crawling towards them like a black tide!

Swish!!!

"So disgusting!"

...0

Gwen shivered all over, her face turning extremely pale.

She was most afraid of seeing such dense things.

Without another word, she jumped directly onto the wall, continuously shooting webs from her hands, trying to block them.

But the scorpions still rushed towards them quickly.

The few small scorpions caught by the webs were nothing at all.

Among so many scorpions, they were just a drop in the ocean.

"**!"

Nick Fury didn't care about anything else and directly pulled out his **.

The other Agents also immediately pulled out their guns and started shooting.

They hadn't used guns at first because they were afraid of harming civilians.

Now they could open fire because simply sweeping the ground would knock down a large number of scorpions.

"Damn it, we can't kill them all!"

Nick Fury's face changed drastically; no matter how much they killed, the scorpions kept pouring in endlessly.

Areas where scorpions had just been killed were quickly filled with new ones.

It looked like wave after wave of black tide, the sound so dense it made one's scalp tingle.

They really hadn't expected these scorpions to be so numerous.

"Wanda!"

Hill looked at Wanda.

With their strength, they simply couldn't deal with so many scorpions.

Now, the only one who could deal with the scorpions was Wanda!

"Hmph!"

Red light emanated from Wanda's body.

This light quickly spread to the ground and rushed towards the scorpion swarm.

The moment the light touched the scorpion swarm, the scorpions were burned to ashes as if they had encountered a raging Fire.

"Phew... Good thing Wanda came!"

Nick Fury breathed a sigh of relief.

If it weren't for Wanda, they really couldn't deal with this swarm of scorpions.

After all, using a gun to shoot these small things was like using a cannon to kill mosquitoes; even if a few were killed, it wouldn't be of much use.

"Chaos Magic!"

A greedy look flashed in the old man's eyes: "Excellent, if I offer you to My Lord Nightmare, I will surely be greatly rewarded!"

He never expected to encounter such a good opportunity at such a time.

The old man suddenly raised his withered hand.

"My Lord Nightmare, grant me supreme power, I will offer Chaos Magic to you!"

The next second, a large amount of black mist frantically gathered in his hand.

Immediately after, it violently spewed from the top of his head, the black mist seemingly mixed with countless ghosts.

When released, one could even hear faint ghostly wails and roars.

"Damn it!"

Facing this attack, Wanda could only hastily retract the red light and simultaneously raise an energy shield to block it.

Boom!

The moment the black mist hit the shield, Wanda's expression changed drastically, because this power was much stronger than she had imagined.

Moreover, scorpions kept crawling out from underground, endlessly.

"It's over!"

Without the red light, they simply couldn't resist.

"Retreat!"

Arthur said calmly, then took a step forward.

Arthur's hands flickered with red light, and the next moment he was surrounded by raging Fire.

The entire room was illuminated by this scorching flame!

Raging flames surged from his hands, engulfing the entire scorpion swarm.

The terrifying flames, carrying an eerie dark red light, sent the old man flying.

"This guy!"

Nick Fury was astonished.

Wait, so he really can!

Isn't this guy just an ordinary person?

16.2%

g

21:46

"You actually can use magic?!"

Nick Fury's eyes nearly popped out.

He didn't expect such a person to be next to Wanda.

And S.H.I.E.L.D.'s files had no information on Arthur at all.

This person was too deeply hidden; now he finally understood why Wanda insisted on bringing Arthur.

It turned out this kid was actually a Mystic Arts practitioner!

He had truly misjudged; who would have thought this kid had always been so powerful.

No wonder his judgment just now was completely accurate!

And he, himself, was foolishly thinking of sending people to protect him; who knew who would end up protecting whom.

Thinking of this, his expression was a bit awkward.

If he hadn't brought Arthur at that time, they might really have been finished.

"Phew... those disgusting things are finally dead."

Gwen jumped down from the wall, her face pale, slowly regaining some color.

The old man standing high up looked at the terrifying flames, his eyes full of apprehension.

He never expected this man to possess such profound magical power.

Although it seemed like only a small amount of Fire was released just now, he noticed that these flames spread out like a carpet.

To achieve such precise control over Fire was no easy feat.

"You wouldn't happen to be a sorcerer from Karma Taj, would you?"

The old man stared intently at Arthur, his voice also deepening: "Your technique is a bit similar!"

If he really was a sorcerer from Karma Taj, then he probably could only abandon his plan.

He didn't want to provoke anyone from Karma Taj; once targeted, the trouble would be immense.

"Karma Taj? I'm not one of those monks."

Arthur grinned, then said: "Let me see what else you've got!"

With that, Arthur waved his hands, and black gas slowly seeped out from the cracks in the ground.

These black gases rose up and quickly gathered, transforming into several vicious wolves that fiercely charged towards the old man.

"Hmph!"

Chapter 82 Am I getting old and confused?

"It seems you are indeed not from Karma Taj. In that case, there's no need to hold back!"

The old man sneered, pulling his hands apart as black mist surged behind him, instantly condensing into a black beam of light that shattered the evil wolves.

If Arthur hadn't released the evil wolves first, he wouldn't have been so sure.

But seeing that it was black magic, he finally relaxed.

Since they weren't from Karma Taj, it was much simpler!

The expression on his face became extremely grotesque, and the veins on his originally shriveled skin squirmed like earthworms. He spread his hands, his face twisted, and slammed them together in the middle.

Instantly, a large amount of black mist surged from the magic circle behind him, and these black mists quickly enveloped the entire ceiling of the room.

It was as if dark clouds had been conjured out of thin air, and a suffocating evil aura continuously spread.

The entire room began to shake violently, and dust from the ceiling slowly fell with the vibrations.

"Go to hell!"

The old man laughed maniacally, his face twisted horribly.

And the black mist on the ceiling began to spread along the walls, with more and more black fog appearing.

The ceiling and the surrounding walls showed signs of corrosion.

As the old man continued to cast his spell, the black mist in the room grew thicker.

At the same time, the four cultists next to him also made their move.

The four of them stood in the four corners, constantly forming hand seals, and purple smoke actually began to emerge from their bodies.

This smoke quickly converged between them, and the next moment, a black space appeared before them.

A giant snake suddenly emerged from within.

This snake had three horns on its head, and its eyes glowed with red light.

Its entire body writhed and struggled in the confined space, trying to crawl out.

Nick Fury immediately snatched the automatic rifle from a nearby Agent and quickly sprayed the cultists.

This thing didn't look simple; if he could deal with those four cultists first, he could interrupt their spell.

But just as the automatic rifle's bullets were about to hit them,

The bullets were like hitting a steel plate, and a transparent black barrier appeared around them.

The bullets exploded, splashing out small clumps of black mist.

They couldn't penetrate this strange black barrier at all!

"A bit interesting. Are they trying to trap us all here with magic?"

Arthur's lips curved slightly as he stared at the old man's actions.

These cultists were clearly buying time for the old man, giving him enough time to complete the spell.

Once the spell was complete, everything in the room would be corroded and destroyed by the black mist.

[Beep beep beep!]

The instruments carried by the Agents emitted urgent alarm sounds.

"Damn it, the energy field here is showing extremely unstable fluctuations!"

Nick Fury's face changed, because the data displayed by the instrument had already maxed out.

If converted into weapon power, the energy here was equivalent to two nuclear bombs!

"This guy really wants to melt us all..."

Hill's face turned pale. If it weren't for so many people still being present, she would have already prepared to retreat.

Even more terrifying was that this crazy old man actually planned to sacrifice them all.

At the current rate of black fog diffusion, the entire room would be covered in black fog in less than a minute.

The surrounding buildings also rapidly melted at this time.

At the same time, the other four giant snakes summoned by the sorcerers also completely emerged from that bizarre space.

This was a giant snake over ten meters long, its scales densely bristling like an exploding pine cone.

It looked very disgusting.

Hiss—

As soon as the giant snake appeared, it immediately lunged at the crowd.

Its open mouth showed that it was very different from ordinary snakes.

Because its mouth was full of sharp teeth!

Once bitten, the body would be crushed as if by a shredder.

"Carnesia Moss Giant Snake? Quite interesting."

Arthur recognized this as a type of black magic at a glance.

The summoned giant snake had extremely strong defenses; he estimated they wanted to use this thing to buy time.

He raised his right hand, and a giant hand of Fire appeared out of thin air.

It fiercely grabbed the giant snake and then slammed it hard against the wall.

Bang!

This impact made the entire room shake.

Then the giant hand of Fire directly pressed the ten-meter-long giant snake against the ceiling.

When the giant snake touched the black mist, its flesh and blood were corroded by the black mist, rapidly melting.

In less than three seconds, the entire giant snake was corroded down to its bones.

"This thing is more terrifying than a demon!"

Hill shivered, her face turning extremely fearful.

This was a ten-meter-long giant snake, yet it was dealt with so quickly.

The four sorcerers, seeing this scene, patted their chests one after another, spitting out a mouthful of dark red blood.

This blood transformed into countless tiny insects, flying over in an overwhelming swarm.

The sound of their flapping wings even made people's chests feel heavy.

This sound echoed continuously in the Underground Room.

"As expected of Nightmare's sorcerers, they have many tricks."

Arthur looked at the black magic they released, a hint of disdain flashing in his eyes.

It had to be said that these black magic spells had all been modified.

Not only had the release method changed, but they had also sacrificed a part of their own lives.

Once touched by these insects, the body's life force would be drained.

"By the way, I haven't tried Ice Elemental Power yet."

Arthur remembered this point; he hadn't used Ice Elemental Power since he obtained it.

He slowly raised his hands, a glint flashing in his eyes.

The temperature in the room instantly plummeted.

Although it was already autumn, Nick Fury and the others even wondered if they had entered a freezer.

A biting cold spread along their backs.

Arthur's feet quickly formed a layer of frost.

This terrifying frost rapidly condensed along the ground, and tiny snowflakes even appeared in the air.

These snowflakes did not fall but hovered in the air.

"Condense!"

As soon as Arthur's voice fell, the snowflakes floating in the air instantly solidified into ice spikes.

These ice spikes, at a flick of his index finger, quickly flew towards the blood-red mosquitoes.

Upon touching the mosquitoes, they were immediately frozen and then turned into specks of powder in the air.

"His strength is actually this strong!"

Nick Fury's eyes widened. He could tell that Arthur's strength even surpassed Wanda's.

Although the opponent's attacks were fierce, Arthuralways appeared calm and unhurried.

"I didn't expect you to have some skill."

The old man was not flustered by this scene. He continued to release black fog with his right hand and suddenly struck a cultist's chest beside him with his left hand.

That withered palm actually pierced through the opponent's body like a sharp sword, and even stranger, after being struck, this cultist's face showed a strange smile.

"To be sacrificed to My Lord Nightmare is my honor!"

The cultist looked up, his eyes wide, letting out a strange laugh, and foamy blood sprayed from his mouth.

The next second, a large amount of black mist spewed from his facial features, and his entire body began to melt rapidly, finally turning into a pool of bloody Water mixed with black mist, seeping into the ground.

Following this, strange Shadows crawled out from underground.

They waved their black arms, like ghosts struggling out of hell.

As soon as they emerged, they let out chilling roars.

"Are they crazy?!"

Nick Fury's body turned cold as he watched this bizarre scene.

That guy was still laughing before he died; they were a bunch of lunatics.

It even made him feel that death, for them, was a kind of honor.

When these Shadows crawled out, they quickly rushed towards the people who had fallen into a trance, seemingly wanting to drag them into a terrifying hell.

Another part of the Shadows, like Kayako, twisted and turned their bodies, rushing fiercely towards the crowd.

"Damn it, what exactly are these things?"

Gwen continuously shot out spider silk, but these previously invincible spider silks could only barely block the Shadows for a moment upon contact.

The spider silk stuck to the Shadow's body and was quickly corroded and broken.

Moreover, these Shadows seemed unaffected by gravity and could crawl along the walls.

"Get lost!"

Wanda's hands glowed red, preparing to send all the Shadows flying.

But just then, Arthur stepped forward first.

"Let me handle it!"

He had finally encountered something so interesting.

Since he had already made a move, it was better to get the reward.

Arthur flicked his right hand, and a fingernail-sized Phoenix appeared on his fingertip.

This Phoenix was dark red all over, looking like a real Phoenix.

Even every feather was clearly visible.

But this Phoenix, though only the size of a fingernail, sent shivers down the spines of everyone present.

It was a fear that surged from the very bones.

The threat of death rapidly spread in their hearts. Although it was only a tiny bit, everyone could clearly feel that this Phoenix could easily kill all of them.

If the power released by the old man in front of them made them afraid, then the Phoenix in Arthur's hand brought them an irresistible sense of oppression.

The chilling aura of death continuously emanated from the Phoenix, mixed with terrifying destructive power, filling the entire room.

Even the black mist that had been rapidly eroding the surroundings, as if encountering a natural enemy, stopped spreading and even began to contract.

"Go."

Arthur said indifferently.

The Phoenix suddenly flew forward.

As it flapped its wings, dark red fine lines, imperceptible to the naked eye, rapidly flew out from its feathers.

These fine lines seemed to have their own consciousness, fiercely lashing out at the Shadows.

With just one strike, all the Shadows were sent flying.

The moment they landed, they transformed into exploding clumps of black mist, emitting countless shrill screams.

The Phoenix circled the room, letting out a deafening cry.

Bang—5.5!

Countless dark red lights erupted from the Phoenix.

The spreading black mist vanished instantly upon contact with the dark red light.

The originally dark Underground Room was now as bright as day under the midday sun.

Everyone involuntarily squinted their eyes.

The dazzling light, like Fire, completely dispelled the coldness in the Underground Room.

"This... this is Phoenix Force!"

The old man's heart quickened, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes.

He never expected to encounter Phoenix Force and Chaos Magic here.

At this moment, a thought suddenly appeared in his mind.

And Nick Fury just happened to shout out what he was thinking.

"You... you're You-Know-Who!!"

Nick Fury's pupils constricted, and his body couldn't help but tremble slightly.

He was very clear about this matter because he had repeatedly watched recordings of You-Know-Who.

What impressed him most was that Phoenix; it was simply too recognizable.

He recognized it with just one glance.

He never expected to encounter You-Know-Who here.

He subconsciously looked at Arthur.

"Am I getting old and confused? The only person Wandawould protect so much can only be her boyfriend!"

Although he had suspected before whether Arthur was Wanda's boyfriend, he had always suppressed this idea because the possibility was too small, even practically impossible.

A Stark Group shareholder was actually the legendary You-Know-Who.

And also Tony Stark's best friend!

He had heard Tony mention Arthur before, but the impression wasn't deep. He never expected this person to be You-Know-Who.

This news probably wasn't even known to Tony himself!

Nick Fury's mind was in a mess at this moment.

He originally thought he was just a powerful figure, but he never expected him to be You-Know-Who.

And this person was incredibly strong, still appearing calm and unhurried.

Boom—Hiss!

When the fingernail-sized Phoenix in the Underground Room released its powerful energy, the entire Underground Room suddenly became muggy.

Strong winds howled, sweeping through the entire space, and dark red light was everywhere.

A terrifying aura of destruction continuously spread from the Phoenix.

Even space itself began to twist and deform under the influence of the red light.

If it weren't for the deliberate suppression of power, everything around would probably have been instantly erased the moment the Phoenix appeared.

As the Phoenix Force spread, the black mist at the top of the Underground Room gradually dissipated.

The power to destroy everything was rapidly corroding the top of the Underground Room.

The entire room vibrated continuously, and with a "crack," the Underground Room suddenly collapsed.

"It's over!"

Nick Fury clenched his fists, covering his head with his hands.

But the collapsing earth did not fall; instead, an even more shocking scene occurred: the falling sand and soil, upon touching the Phoenix Force, transformed into black particles, flying towards the sky like flowing Water.

If viewed from a distance, one could see countless black particles slowly rising into the sky in this area.

Chapter 83 Is This the Power of the Phoenix?

As dark red light shot out from underground, these particles continuously rose in the light pillar.

When the dark clouds in the night sky touched these Shadow particles, they were directly pierced through.

"This power… is this the Phoenix Force?"

The old man looked up at everything before him, his pupils contracting violently.

The fear of death rapidly spread in his heart.

Although he had watched the live broadcast before, in his opinion, no matter how strong this power was, it couldn't be stronger than Nightmare My Lord.

But now he understood that this person's power far exceeded his imagination.

His legs trembled uncontrollably, and he couldn't help but retreat step by step.

But before he had taken a few steps, he stumbled and fell to the ground.

The old man looked up at the remaining three cultists.

"You guys, go! Even if you sacrifice your lives to NightmareMy Lord!"

These three cultists had been brainwashed, with only worship for Nightmare My Lord remaining in their hearts.

But at this moment, the old man's expression froze.

Because in the eyes of those three, fear was showing through.

In other words, this destructive pressure was more terrifying than death.

"No, I must escape!"

This thought suddenly popped into the old man's mind.

He had cultivated painstakingly for so many years; he absolutely could not die here.

As long as he could escape, there would still be a chance to release Nightmare My Lord.

Although these people were found by him with great effort, as long as he was alive, anything was possible.

He waved his right hand abruptly; the Shadow qi that had just appeared in the magic circle instantly vanished under the dark red light.

"This… how is this possible?!"

At this moment, the old man completely gave up resisting.

Because he couldn't even use his power.

Facing this power that could destroy all things, the Shadow magic he mastered was simply a joke.

This guy was too terrifying!

"I was wrong! Please spare me, I can be your most loyal servant!"

The old man immediately knelt on the ground, trembling all over.

Although he was somewhat unwilling, he now had no other choice.

As long as he could live, he was willing to do anything.

The other three cultists, seeing this scene, suddenly realized and all knelt down.

The fear of annihilation had made them disregard everything else.

They continuously kowtowed, even as blood seeped from their foreheads.

"How foolish, you killed so many people, and you still expect to live?"

Arthur perceived that these people were not good even before they were controlled.

They were extremely fanatical Shadow mages.

He just looked coldly, and the Phoenix suspended in the air immediately turned into a ray of light.

The dark red light flashed, directly penetrating the chests of the three people.

The three looked down at their pierced chests, their eyes wide.

A force rapidly spread from the wound, and their bodies began to slowly turn into Shadow particles.

Like paper being ignited, the intense pain made them let out earth-shattering screams.

In just four or five seconds, these people had turned to ashes, completely vanishing from the World.

"Do you have anything else to say?"

Arthur, with his hands in his pockets, walked calmly in front of the old man, looking down at him.

"I…"

He was speechless for a moment, not knowing what to say.

He could only stare at Arthur with fearful eyes, as if to deeply imprint his face into his mind.

"Pathetic, a life with only the pursuit of power left."

Arthur only took one look and knew that this old man only had a desire for immortality and power.

In his opinion, this was a very sad thing.

After all, besides power, there were many other things worth enjoying in this World.

"Can you let me live…?"

The old man finally couldn't help but plead.

But looking at Arthur's cold eyes, he already understood his fate.

Arthur just turned around and snapped his fingers.

The surrounding red light immediately contracted, suddenly enveloping the old man.

At this moment, the old man was like a human-shaped light bulb emitting red light.

Bang!

With a crisp sound, the old man instantly turned into countless light spots, scattering in all directions.

"It's finally over."

Gwen rubbed the goosebumps on her arm.

Although she had seen Arthur's power, those disgusting images still lingered in her mind.

At the same time, she was also glad that she had never encountered such an opponent before.

"Alright, your mess is solved!"

Arthur yawned and slowly walked in front of Nick Fury.

Although there were some unexpected events this time, it wasn't very interesting.

And these people were even more disgusting than he had imagined.

They actually used live sacrifices to gain power; they were simply a group of lunatics.

"I'm sorry, I was too rude just now."

Nick Fury was startled, then immediately stepped forward to apologize, his face full of fawning expressions, his body slightly bent.

Now there were many troublesome matters in S.H.I.E.L.D.; if You-Know-Who could help, most problems would surely be solved.

Even if Arthur didn't act, as long as he helped at a critical moment, the safety of Blue Star would not be a concern.

What's more, he really didn't expect this to be You-Know-Who.

Hill, standing by, saw this scene, her mouth slightly open, her eyes full of shock.

Was this still the usually arrogant Nick Fury?

She had followed Nick Fury for so long and knew his personality very well.

But this was the first time she had seen him look like this.

One must know, even when those more powerful superiors pressured him, he had never shown such a humble attitude.

"It's fine, as long as you don't disturb our vacation from now on."

Arthur's mouth twitched: "Actually, I prefer your former uninhibited look."

After all, Nick Fury had always been very proud.

Now that he suddenly became so humble, it made him a little uncomfortable.

Although he understood why the other party was apologizing, this attitude still exceeded his expectations.

"I wouldn't dare, I wouldn't dare. Don't worry, all expenses for your vacation from now on will be covered by us!"

Saying that, Nick Fury fumbled in his pocket and pulled out a Shadow card, handing it to Wanda.

A fawning smile remained on his face.

Embarrassing? Are you kidding?

This was the most powerful existence on Blue Star right now.

This person could easily beat Odin without any ability to fight back.

Putting everything else aside, if Arthur wanted to, Blue Star could disappear tomorrow.

He was indeed very stubborn, but it depended on the occasion.

He didn't want to wake up one morning and find the entire S.H.I.E.L.D. organization gone as soon as he arrived.

Moreover, for a ruthless character like this, being able to let him vacation peacefully now, he already felt quite lucky.

Aside from anything else, if Arthur really wanted to rule Blue Star, it would just be a matter of a single word.

So, to provoke him, unless one had a problem with their brain!

Although Arthur was a major shareholder of Stark Groupand certainly not short of money.

But Wanda was different, so he specially got a Shadowcard for Wanda.

This had two meanings: one was to indirectly curry favor with Wanda, and the other was to help Arthur hide his identity.

Although he wasn't sure why Arthur had always hidden his appearance before,

But he knew that what a strong person didn't want to say, one shouldn't ask too much.

"Wanda, why didn't you tell us?!"

Hill, standing by, couldn't help but twitch the corner of her mouth.

If they had known it was You-Know-Who, they would never have treated him like this.

Even using an eight-person sedan chair wouldn't be an exaggeration.

"What's there to say? You didn't ask either."

Wanda spread her hands innocently and shrugged.

She had never revealed Arthur's identity, still unsure how to explain her good friendship with Gwen.

"Alright, you guys go find people to send these people back!"

Arthur raised his hand and snapped his fingers; the people who were just standing instantly collapsed to the ground.

Nick Fury immediately nodded, instructing an Agent to arrange vehicles to send these people back.

"It's getting late, I should head back too."

Arthur stretched, and he had to admit, this outing was quite interesting.

S.H.I.E.L.D. was very efficient, and soon sent people to the hospital for those who were sleepwalking, confirming they were fine before letting them go home.

"Didn't expect to come out for a vacation and incidentally do a good deed."

Arthur complained in his heart, originally thinking this was part of the vacation.

But these guys did affect the mood of Gwen and her friends.

After all, what they released was truly a bit disgusting.

[Ding! You have eliminated Nightmare's subordinates!]

[Reward obtained: Shadow Guest Group—Alien Group!]

[Shadow Guest Group—Alien Group]: You can summon the Alien Group from the Shadow Guest Group; they are completely obedient to you!

The Shadow Alien Group is the most terrifying in appearance.

Their bodies can stretch and deform like chewing gum, with astonishing elasticity, and their strength is not to be underestimated.

"Alien Group?!"

Arthur was stunned when he heard the reward.

He had previously obtained the Ninja Group from the Shadow Guest Group,

But later he forgot about this reward due to other matters, and he hadn't found a suitable time to use it,

He didn't expect to get the Alien Group again.

Actually, these guys from the Shadow Guest Group were really good.

As long as he gave the order, they would meticulously carry out the mission.

More importantly, each one was very strong.

Randomly pick one, and they would at least be at Gwen's level.

"I'll study them thoroughly when I get back!"

Arthur shook his head, shaking off all the jumbled thoughts in his mind.

He had to admit, there were really many lunatics in the Marvel World.

He just came out to play, and ended up encountering something like this.

"It seems Westview is not peaceful either."

Wanda sighed, where in this World was there truly peace?

They came here precisely to find a quiet place to live their lives.

Unexpectedly, even this small wish couldn't be fulfilled.

However…

Wanda glanced at Arthur, thankfully Arthur was still in this World.

Everyone went home.

It was already very late.

"Do you guys want some late-night snack?"

Having just been active outside, Arthur suddenly felt a little hungry, so he looked at the three of them.

"I'll eat what you make!"

Wanda was the first to raise her hand; the food Arthurmade was indeed delicious.

And the dishes he made were never repeated.

"Me too!"

Gwen jumped up excitedly and raised her hand.

"No problem."

Arthur smiled and patted their heads, then turned and walked towards the kitchen.

This time, he planned to make hotpot.

When he opened the refrigerator, Arthur paused.

"Almost forgot, this isn't at home!"

He scratched his head; usually, the maids prepared the ingredients, and he hadn't thought of it immediately.

"It's already one in the morning, the supermarket in Westview must be closed."

Arthur stroked his chin for a while, muttering to himself: "It seems I can only buy them elsewhere."

Thinking of this, he waved his right hand, and a dazzling dimensional door appeared before his eyes.

It was daytime over there, and only the Eastern Hemisphere had suitable ingredients at this time.

Besides, for hotpot ingredients, it was most reliable to buy them back home.

After entering the supermarket, Arthur quickly bought everything he needed.

He had to say, hotpot was much simpler than other dishes.

Just wash and slice the ingredients, then prepare a soup base.

He made a 'Yin-Yang' pot, one side clear broth, the other spicy.

When it was served, everyone's eyes widened.

It wasn't that they hadn't eaten Chinese food before, but it was completely different from the U.S. Chinese food they ate outside.

Wanda, Gwen, and Lorna ate until they were sweating profusely, yet they praised it incessantly.

"Mr. Arthur, can we taste a little bit of Taoli Xiang Wine?"

Gwen plucked up the courage to ask Arthur.

Although she had only drunk it once, the taste had lingered in her mind.

"Alright, today you can all have a small cup!"

Arthur hesitated for a moment, then finally agreed.

After all, this wine had health-preserving effects.

Compared to Wanda, Gwen and Lorna were still quite a bit behind.

After three rounds of drinks…

Chapter 84 You look a little nervous

Gwen and Lorna were flushed, sprawled on the sofa.

"These two."

Arthur stood up helplessly and, together with Wanda, sent them back to their rooms.

After seeing them to their rooms, Arthur and Wanda went to the second-floor balcony.

Arthur wrapped an arm around Wanda, sitting on the rocking chair, gazing at the moon in the sky.

"Arthur…"

Wanda looked at Arthur, circling his chest with her finger. "What's wrong?"

Arthur asked, puzzled, as Wanda seemed to have something she wanted to say but didn't.

Wanda took a deep breath, using the alcohol as courage to voice her thoughts:

"Can… can I introduce you to my friends in the Avengers?"

Facing Wanda's watery big eyes, Arthur knew what she was thinking.

Ever since they defeated Odin last time, Wanda's eyes had shown a hint of loss whenever Avengers members were mentioned.

At the time, he was a little confused, but he figured this little Witch had wanted to say this for a long time, but just hadn't opened her mouth.

"Aren't we already together? As long as you're ready, you can anytime!"

Arthur said with a smile, pinching the little Witch's upturned nose.

"Really?"

Wanda hadn't expected Arthur to agree so readily.

In fact, through their time together, she knew Arthurdisliked trouble.

Once Tony and the others knew Arthur's identity, trouble would surely come knocking.

But even so, Arthur agreed without hesitation.

This touched her so much that her eyes welled up with tears.

"Of course it's real, because you are my…"

Arthur was about to say something when the figure in his arms suddenly looked up and kissed him.

At the same time, he also realized that his weakness had been seized by Wanda.

He was stunned; this was probably the little Witch's most proactive move yet.

Immediately after, a surge of heat rose within him.

He picked up Wanda in one swoop, and after entering the room, an dark red power closed the door behind them.

As the lights went out, Fei Hong and dark red light flickered alternately like flames.

The next morning,

A golden glow appeared on the horizon.

Sunlight streamed through the curtains, forming a golden pillar that added warmth to the room.

Arthur groggily opened his eyes, looking at Wanda beside him, a faint smile playing on his lips.

"This little Witch gets so much bolder after drinking!"

He secretly sighed to himself, truly embodying a different path of development.

Even he was startled last night, and he estimated the little Witch wouldn't be able to walk today.

"Let's get up and make breakfast first."

Arthur glanced at the clock on the wall and quietly left the room.

Presumably, because everyone had been drinking yesterday,

Gwen and Lorna were still asleep in their rooms.

After making a simple breakfast, Arthur ate something first.

Now, even if he didn't eat anything, his body wouldn't have any problems.

Because his current physique already far exceeded that of ordinary people, coupled with his World-destroying bloodline power, he didn't need to rely on eating to sustain life.

Just absorbing a little external energy, like sunlight, was enough to restore his body's vitality.

But that didn't mean he didn't eat at all.

After all, eating was a very enjoyable thing.

And for Arthur, if he didn't even eat, he basically wouldn't be considered human anymore.

"It's rare to be this relaxed!"

Arthur smiled faintly and casually turned on the TV.

Although he wasn't interested in the news, he always felt that having it on made the atmosphere more lively.

He sat on the sofa, waved his right hand, and brought the Chthon Scroll over.

"Speaking of which, I haven't properly looked at this scroll since I got it."

Although he had copied a portion and given it to Wandabefore, he himself hadn't really delved into studying it.

As his strength grew, his need for the Chthon Scrollgradually diminished.

Now that he had nothing to do, he might as well take some time to properly examine this scroll.

It must be said, many of the spells in the Chthon Scrollwere very interesting.

Compared to the visanti book, Arthur was more interested in this scroll.

Because the visanti book contained only White magic and defensive magic, mainly for self-protection.

The Chthon Scroll, however, was completely different; it covered a wider variety of spells, and almost all dark magicoriginated from it.

Because of this, despite being dark magic, this scroll still held immense appeal for all mages.

Although there were many spells inside, Arthur could remember most of them with just a glance.

This was the advantage of divine magic talent; in fact, most magical principles were interconnected.

The more he saw, the more he gained, and the deeper his understanding became.

Some spells seemed simple, but the truths they contained gave him sudden enlightenment.

Just then, Arthur's gaze stopped on a spell.

[Dream Walking]

"This spell seems quite interesting…"

Arthur looked at the description of Dream Walking, subconsciously stroking his chin.

Simply put, "Dream Walking" allowed one to find their counterpart in the multiverse and control their body for their own use.

In Marvel, Scarlet Witch had once used a similar method to enter the multiverse.

He hadn't expected this technique to appear in the Chthon Scroll.

"Too bad, I don't know if I have a counterpart in the multiverse…"

Arthur couldn't help but ponder, as he was considered an anomaly in this World.

That is to say, someone who suddenly appeared in this World shouldn't have a counterpart.

However, this also involved too many complex issues.

He wasn't sure if his counterpart from another Worldwould also transmigrate.

The more he thought, the more his head ached.

"Forget it, let's look at the next spell!"

Arthur shook his head, casting aside all those chaotic thoughts.

The next spell happened to be an advanced version of "Dream Walking."

[Multiverse Shuttle]

After learning this spell, one could directly travel between multiple Universes without needing a counterpart.

It was like Captain America's ability, but this kind of shuttle was more precise, with no significant deviation.

It must be said, this was much more convenient than "Dream Walking."

"Hmm, this one I can learn."

Although most superheroes now appeared in their own Worlds.

But other Worlds were also quite interesting.

What's more, if he could bring back a Wanda…

Thinking of this, Arthur's lips curled slightly upwards.

Although Lorna and Wanda were sisters, they were half-sisters, and their resemblance was not high.

But if there were two Wandas, it would be different.

Back to the main topic, the difficulty of this spell far exceeded "Dream Walking."

This was also why the dark Wanda didn't choose "Multiverse Shuttle" back then.

And there was another difference, which was that "Dream Walking" controlled one's counterpart in another Universe.

Even if they died, it didn't matter; it had no effect on oneself.

But "Multiverse Shuttle" meant personally traveling to different Universes.

This, of course, carried great risks, as no one knew what the enemies in another Universe would be like.

"But I really should learn it properly."

Arthur spoke with a clear conscience, not because he wanted to bring back one or two Wanda Gwens or anything.

He just hoped more righteous heroes would come to this World.

Thinking of this, Arthur slowly sat cross-legged, and after memorizing all the spell content, he slowly closed his eyes.

Dark red energy and dark qi surged from his body, and he slowly floated into the air.

These energies rapidly intertwined but were incompatible, like two different colored whirlpools constantly rotating around him.

A mysterious feeling surged in his heart.

He seemed to clearly feel his body and spirit.

Although originally one, they could now be separated.

This was completely different from the soul leaving the body; it felt like something was forcefully pulling him out.

And the self that was pulled out felt like his true self.

Just then, his soul, carrying his consciousness, suddenly rushed high into the sky, directly leaving the house, and a distorted space appeared in the sky.

As soon as his soul entered, it instantly disappeared.

"Logan, this way!"

In the darkness, Arthur heard a shout in his ear.

He opened his eyes.

Rumble…

Intense gunfire echoed all around.

It turned out to be a battlefield, filled with smoke and war.

The ground was covered with Elite Soldiers's corpses, and shells continuously fell.

Looking at the scene of corpses strewn everywhere, Arthur merely frowned slightly.

He had just turned his head when he saw a man with steel claws moving through the fire in the distance.

The man had a thick beard and several wounds on his body, but his speed didn't decrease at all.

Behind him, a group of people chased him, firing bullets like they were free.

The man gritted his teeth and charged straight towards Arthur.

Arthur frowned, about to dodge, but found that the man passed directly through his body.

He looked back; the man, as if mad, plunged into the depths of the forest.

"Uncle Wolverine?"

Arthur frowned; that guy just now was Wolverine LoganHowlett! He hadn't expected his soul to come to this World.

And this World was completely different from what he had imagined.

"Looks like it still failed."

Arthur had originally thought he could travel with his physical body, but he found that only his soul had arrived here.

Since his physical body hadn't come, he didn't plan to continue exploring.

With a thought, his soul instantly disappeared like a whirlpool.

Whoosh!

After a dizzying spin, Arthur suddenly opened his eyes.

His entire body fell heavily from the air onto the sofa.

"Phew… I'm back."

Looking at the familiar living room, Arthur's vision returned to reality.

Although it wasn't successful, at least it proved the spell worked.

"It seems I really can travel to different Universes with my physical body in the future."

Arthur stared at the Chthon Scroll in front of him, unable to suppress the upward curve of his lips.

Thump thump thump…

At this moment, footsteps came from upstairs.

Wanda, wearing pajamas, groggily walked down.

"Arthur!"

She walked up to Arthur, wanting to sit in his lap.

Ever since Arthur agreed to her yesterday, their relationship had become even more intimate.

"!"

As soon as she sat down, she immediately jumped up, fully awake.

She vaguely remembered what had happened yesterday.

"Come, let me heal you, and then we'll have breakfast."

Arthur held her hand, and as the horse talisman took effect, her body slowly recovered.

"~Do you want to go out and play today?"

Wanda leaned against Arthur, acting spoiled.

"Where are we going to play? We're coming too!"

Before Arthur could speak, hurried footsteps from Lornaand Gwen came from upstairs.

Both their faces were filled with excitement.

After Lorna and Gwen stayed together, their mood finally wasn't so gloomy.

Whenever they were together, a faint smile always graced Lorna's face.

"Let's go to the amusement park today!"

Arthur hesitated for a moment, then said.

Although Westview didn't have an amusement park, with the Dimension Door, it was no problem at all.

"That's great! I've never been to an amusement park!"

Lorna was the happiest; she had only seen them on TV but had never actually been.

Although Wanda hadn't been either, she seemed more composed due to being older.

After eating and drinking their fill, Arthur directly took everyone to the amusement park.

To avoid attracting too much attention, he specifically chose his hometown.

For the rest of the time, they played around, mainly concentrating in Westview.

Because this was the place Wanda had always wanted to go.

In the Avengers Base office.

"You look a little nervous."

Arthur sat on the sofa, legs crossed, biting an apple.

From just now, he had noticed Wanda's foot constantly trembling, and her eyes occasionally darting towards the door.

"A little…"

Chapter 85 is so representative

Wanda's hands were clasped tightly, her expression clearly uneasy.

Ever since they returned, Arthur had offered to introduce her to his identity.

But even though she was here, Wanda still had an indescribable feeling, like a child who had received a gift but was afraid to open it.

"Don't be nervous, it's just a simple introduction."

Arthur held Wanda's hand and comforted her gently.

This was something Wanda had always wanted to do, so he immediately brought her here as soon as he returned.

"Thank you."

With Arthur's encouragement, Wanda's initial panic slowly subsided.

Click—

The two pushed open the door while talking.

Steve and Natasha walked in.

"Hey, Wanda, you're back…"

Steve's smile froze instantly as he was about to greet her.

Because he clearly saw that the person beside Wanda was none other than Tony's friend, Arthur!

If it were just Arthur, it wouldn't be a big deal.

But what shocked him even more was that Arthur was holding Wanda's hand.

Judging by their proximity, his mind went blank in an instant.

And Natasha wasn't feeling any better; her eyes were practically popping out.

"This… this is a shareholder of Si Ta Ke Corporation?!"

Although she hadn't met Arthur last time, she had seen his material (information).

From their intimate actions, it was clear this was Wanda's boyfriend.

And Wanda had said before that her boyfriend was You-Know-Who!

In an instant, their minds felt as if they had been struck by something, a complete mess.

"Hello everyone, I am Wanda's boyfriend, Arthur!"

Arthur stood up and extended his hand to greet everyone.

After a long while, they cautiously shook Arthur's hand.

"I'll send Tony a message first and tell him to prepare!"

Natasha suddenly came to her senses; she thought that compared to this, Tony might be even more shocked to see this situation.

Not long after, hurried footsteps were heard from outside.

Tony and Rhodey rushed in directly.

He had just received Natasha's message saying that You-Know-Who had finally arrived.

But he didn't understand why Natasha wanted him to be mentally prepared.

Could it be that Wanda's boyfriend was a devil?

But the moment he pushed open the door, he froze.

Wanda was standing in the office, holding Arthur's hand.

Tony's mind instantly became a mess.

This… what was going on?!

"This… this is your boyfriend?"

After Tony learned that Arthur was Wanda's boyfriend, he seemed to be frozen in place.

He should have been happy if his friend and Wanda were together.

But Arthur happened to be You-Know-Who, and he had never thought Arthur would be that person.

"Hmm, I didn't know how to tell you before."

Wanda pursed her lips and lowered her head, looking a bit embarrassed.

She knew Tony's heart must be very complicated right now.

Given the situation at the time, she really didn't know how to bring it up.

"Tony, are you surprised?"

Arthur raised an eyebrow, looking at Tony with a faint smile.

"It's quite surprising indeed."

Tony's heart was a mix of emotions, both surprised and happy.

He was surprised that his good friend was so powerful, and that he had never noticed it.

If Wanda hadn't brought him back, he would never have guessed that You-Know-Who was Arthur.

However, he couldn't help but feel happy, because he knew very well what kind of person Arthur was.

This meant he didn't have to worry that You-Know-Whowould do something to destroy the World.

The heart that had been hanging in suspense finally relaxed at this moment.

In short, it was better to have an acquaintance.

This way, one potential threat was eliminated.

"I wanted to tell you before, but I was afraid you couldn't accept it."

Arthur smiled and walked up to Tony, patting him on the shoulder.

In this World, there weren't many people he could call friends, and Tony was one of them.

After all, this guy's personality was quite similar to his.

"I should have guessed it long ago, you're really good at hiding."

Tony casually waved his hand, hitting Arthur's chest, a helpless smile on his lips.

Actually, he had felt something was off before.

After all, there were energy fluctuations nearby at that time, but nothing happened.

Plus, Arthur had later said he could help if there was trouble.

He had thought at the time that Arthur was just an ordinary person and couldn't be of much help.

What he didn't expect was that this guy even had a superpowered individual by his side.

Such a person couldn't be hired even with money, yet because he was his friend, he met them so easily.

So he had never thought in that direction.

"I said before that when the time was right, you would naturally know."

Arthur spread his hands, shrugged, a hint of helplessness in his tone.

Indeed, he wasn't very interested in the Avengers' affairs either.

Nothing was more important than making himself happy; dealing with so many things every day was not the life he wanted.

"So when you said before that I could find you if I had difficulties, that wasn't a joke…"

Tony suddenly remembered what happened at the hotel that day.

Even he himself was startled at the time, but Arthur had remained calm.

Even when the rock was about to fall, he remained composed, not dodging or flinching.

At first, he thought Arthur was scared stiff, but it turned out he wasn't afraid at all.

"You are my good friend, if there's something, I definitely won't refuse."

Arthur looked at Tony earnestly, as one of his few friends, which was why he would proactively say that.

"Even though you're good at hiding, congratulations, you've taken away our Avengers' Witch!"

After Tony adjusted his emotions, he immediately offered his blessings.

After all, these two were his best friends, and seeing Wanda with such a powerful person put his mind at ease.

Moreover, You-Know-Who was originally his friend, so he didn't have to worry about those powerful individuals.

"Alright, let's have a party together and celebrate properly!"

Tony raised his hand; since he knew such good news, of course, they had to celebrate.

This celebration was not just for Arthur and Wanda, but also for all the troubles of this period, which had finally passed.

They played all night until dawn before going back to sleep.

…

The next day, in a room at the manor.

Although he had some drinks last night, he still left the Avengers Base through dimensional teleportation.

On the clean, soft bed.

Arthur opened his eyes groggily; although alcohol and sleep had no effect on him, he still honestly slept because it had become a habit.

Looking at Wanda's slightly flushed cheeks beside him, he couldn't help but gently kiss her face.

"Let's continue practicing Multiverse Shuttle!"

Thinking of this, Arthur tiptoed into the study.

After that attempt at Multiverse Shuttle, he became particularly interested in it.

He wanted to see what other Worlds were like.

However, he also had to admit that the difficulty of Multiverse Shuttle was truly too high.

He could learn most magic just by looking at it, because he had divine magic talent.

But he still failed the last Multiverse Shuttle, only sending his soul to another place.

And it wasn't very stable, unable to accurately select different Worlds.

"Let's try again!"

Arthur recalled the contents of the Chthon Scroll.

He slowly closed his eyes, and dark red and black energy began to seep from the pores of his body.

These energies rapidly spread around him, transforming into countless fine threads dancing around his body.

From a distance, Arthur looked as if he was enveloped by a black and red sphere.

The energy gradually distorted the surrounding environment, and even cracks appeared in space.

Buzz—

With a soft hum, part of the energy, like the Base of a wine glass, connected to the ground.

A faint light quickly outlined a runic array on the ground, and the light, like a flashlight beam, enveloped Arthurfrom bottom to top.

The next second, the light burst forth, and Arthur's body instantly disappeared.

The room immediately returned to calm, as if nothing had happened.

At this moment, Arthur saw rapidly flashing images around him, various colored lines streaking past his body, as if entering a different World, with time and space flowing around him.

"This is it!"

Arthur sensed another World, and with a thought, his mind moved.

After a dizzying spin, he opened his eyes again and found himself standing in a dark alley.

A strong smell of alcohol mixed with decay assailed him.

"I successfully crossed over?"

Arthur looked at his hands, a surprised expression on his face.

But he also realized that his cultivation was not enough, subtly feeling that his original World was constantly pulling him.

If left uncontrolled, he could be pulled back at any time.

[Ding! Congratulations on successfully crossing into a parallel Universe!]

[Reward: Time Machine!]

[Time Machine]: Time travel is always fascinating, but please be careful, some Universes' timelines cannot be altered arbitrarily. This Time Machine can be used once every ninety days.

Time Machine?

Arthur was stunned when he heard this reward, feeling that this thing seemed useless.

After all, in Marvel, timelines couldn't be messed with, as the Time Variance Authority managed them.

However, for Arthur, the Time Variance Authority was not a big problem either.

"But where is this?"

Arthur still focused his attention on the current World.

He planned to see if there was anything interesting here, and perhaps bring some gifts for Wanda.

Rumble!

Bang!!!

Suddenly, a huge roar came from a distance, and the ground trembled with it.

"What's that sound?"

Arthur frowned and turned back, then carefully surveyed his surroundings.

Although it was an alley, the surroundings were dilapidated.

After he walked out of the alley, his brows furrowed slightly.

Because all he saw were ruins, a desolate scene.

The flagstones on the street were all overturned, and the surrounding houses were in disrepair, looking as if they had been bombed, with ruins everywhere, like the end of the World.

"What exactly happened here?" Arthur was a bit puzzled.

What exactly had this place experienced to become like this? He didn't even see a single person.

However, he didn't intend to leave; since he was here, he would take a look, maybe he could discover some surprises.

And he really wanted to know what had happened in this World.

With a thought, he directly flew into the sky.

After flying to a high altitude, what he saw was a ravaged city, and the distant skyscrapers were actually broken in half by something.

"It seems this city used to be quite lively." Arthur couldn't help but murmur to himself.

Just then, he noticed a small black dot flying in the distant sky.

He frowned and quickly saw what it was—a huge aircraft carrier, like a mobile fortress, its cannons constantly firing at the ground, destroying cities one by one.

A moment later, he saw streaks of Shadow flying out from the aircraft carrier, rushing straight to the ground.

"That is…"

When he clearly saw what those Shadows looked like, he immediately understood.

These Shadows were completely black, with only a pair of orange eyes and an orange glow on their abdomen, their bodies covered with small, scale-like dots, some even transforming their right hands into sharp, long cones, looking very high-tech.

"Aren't these Sentinels?"

Arthur immediately recognized these things.

Sentinels are robots specifically designed to deal with Mutants; their right hands can transform into long cones and they can also burrow into the ground. They inherited Mystique's abilities, capable of freely transforming weapons for attack, and possess astonishing strength. Furthermore, they have self-healing capabilities and contain no metal components in their bodies.

"Did I cross into the X-Men's old timeline?" Arthursuddenly thought.

Because the Sentinels' appearance was too iconic.

"Should I go play?" A hint of interest flashed in Arthur's eyes.

He was very curious if these Sentinels could evolve infinitely, and he himself had the bloodline of an ancient destroyer, also possessing the potential for infinite evolution.

Just as he was about to act, he suddenly felt a huge suction force from behind pulling him.

Before he could react, he was swept away.

In an instant, he disappeared from his original spot.

"How did I get back here again?"

Arthur looked around; this was clearly his study!

He subconsciously looked down, and the runic array on the ground was intermittently flashing.
