Chapter 2652 - Ch: 196-200

Chapter 196: Disdaining the Demon God as Too Prodigal, Renn Gives an Online Lesson!

"Do not panic, rest easy."

A calm voice sounded out.

Strange felt as if a clear spring had flowed into his heart.

That feeling of fear surprisingly vanished slowly.

"Thank you, Mage Renn."

Strange spoke with gratitude.

At the same time, he secretly muttered in his heart.

Renn was truly becoming more and more unfathomable.

He didn't even know what method Renn had used, yet he had surprisingly recovered.

This made him admire Renn even more.

Renn, however, didn't know what Strange was thinking.

Looking at the darkness outside, his face remained very calm.

"Ding!"

"You are enveloped by the God Domain: Darkest Hour."

"Your mana recovery speed has decreased, and damage taken has increased."

"You are affected by the Fear Aura. You will undergo a willpower check. If the check fails, you will fall into fear."

"Your mental willpower is exceedingly strong; you are immune to fear."

"Your mental willpower is exceedingly strong; your words will possess the power to soothe the soul."

A series of system prompt chimes sounded.

A smile appeared at the corner of Renn's mouth.

Chthon.

Is nothing special.

Even his underwear has been seen through by the system.

Right now, he only needs to cope with all changes by remaining unchanged.

Renn was fully confident on his side.

Over there, Chthon was watching with a bit of fear and trepidation.

Something is wrong.

Extremely wrong.

Why are those two guys inside completely unaffected?

No.

It can't be said that he wasn't affected.

Rather, that kid was affected, but it was immediately dispelled.

Dammit!

How is this any different from not being affected at all?

Moreover...

Why can this guy isolate his Darkest Domain?

This is the embodiment of all his divine power!

What is going on?

Do you think you're a lighthouse?

Shining light in the darkness?

Chthon desperately wanted to curse.

This guy was truly somewhat beyond his expectations.

Looking at Renn filled with confidence inside, Chthongritted his teeth.

Normally, people enveloped by his darkness...

...even if they were gods, their strength would be weakened by thirty percent.

But this guy...

...where did he look like someone being affected at all?

"It can't go on like this. I must make this guy get nervous."

Chthon's expression flickered with uncertainty.

Boundless darkness condensed in his hand.

Directly forming a black spear.

However...

...compared to Renn's spear...

...the spear in Chthon's hand almost seemed tangible.

A streak of flowing light radiated on it.

As if this weapon was truly a physical weapon.

Carrying a streak of flowing light...

...the black spear shot straight out from the darkness.

Inside the protective barrier, Renn...

...had his muscles tense, fully focused.

His body suddenly tensed.

Sensing a wave of danger approaching.

Renn raised his hand.

A red shield appeared in front of him, facing directly toward the direction where he felt the threat.

Clang!

A harsh shockwave rang out.

A black spear collided against the shield, shattering into fragments before dispersing into black energy.

"Worthy of the Underworld God Chthon."

"Your strength could probably rank in the top three among the opponents I've faced."

Renn spoke calmly.

"Top three?"

"Kid, aren't you afraid of biting your tongue with such big words?"

"Have you ever seen an enemy like me before?"

"Mages on Earth truly grow weaker with each generation."

"But their bragging ability is indeed impressive!"

"If you had met enemies stronger than me, would you still be standing here?"

"Kid, why don't you name one so I can see what kind of enemies you've met."

Chthon's mocking voice drifted out from the darkness.

He was completely dismissive of Renn's words.

Renn looked into the darkness and said calmly.

"The last person I dealt with was Oblivion."

"I don't know if you know him."

Chthon fell silent all at once.

It was as if someone had smeared dog feces onto his face.

Oblivion.

Of course he knew him.

When he was powerful, Oblivion had already existed.

The two of them had even fought once.

However, he was only slightly superior in skill.

This guy dealt with Oblivion?

How could that be possible?

But he quickly reacted.

"Mage, stop boasting."

"Having witnessed the Power of Oblivion, could you still be standing here?"

"I'm afraid you would have long been disintegrated into the World's most fundamental particles."

Chthon spoke with disdain.

The Power of Oblivion.

Is one of the most powerful forces in the Universe.

His power can destroy everything in the World, turning them into basic particles.

A mere mage...

...how could he possibly withstand such power?

What a load of bull!

"Mage."

"Stop boasting."

"Is Oblivion something you could possibly withstand?"

"If you could withstand Oblivion..."

"...I'll gouge my own eyes out and crush them like bubbles!"

"You'd better just die!"

Without another word, Chthon...

...threw a black spear directly out from the darkness.

This time...

...Renn didn't even bother to pull out his shield.

A black streak of flowing light emitted from his hand.

Renn reached out and squeezed.

The destructive power in his hand directly crushed the black spear, turning it into a cloud of shattered energy.

"Power of Oblivion?"

A Strange cry came from the darkness.

Chthon felt his teeth set on edge.

What on Earth is this?

Why can this guy use the Power of Oblivion?

Is this guy Oblivion's illegitimate son?

Chthon felt thoroughly unsettled.

He had never encountered such an opponent.

A mere mage from Earth...

...how could he deal with Oblivion and even master the Power of Oblivion?

Is this fucking reasonable?

Although Chthon was born on Earth...

...however...

...he still had some understanding of Earth's standards.

Even in their era...

...there was no mage this abnormal!

Chthon gritted his teeth.

"So what if you have the Power of Oblivion?"

"In the end, you are not Oblivion."

"What can you do with just having this power?"

Chthon sneered.

He directly condensed over a dozen black spears once more and threw them out.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

A sound of tearing air rang out.

Carrying powerful force, the black spears shot over toward that direction.

These black spears...

...were not only filled with darkness, but also possessed powerful force of Death.

That powerful black energy...

...seemed to cause the entire World to wither.

The black spears were soul-thrillingly terrifying.

Strange's pupils shrank to the size of pinpoints.

He even felt the threat of Death.

Fortunately, Renn stood directly in front of him.

With a wave of his hand...

...a spatial barrier appeared in front of him.

Those black spears entered the space like raindrops.

This spatial barrier was like an endless quagmire.

These black spears were directly swallowed up.

Spears capable of destroying the World vanished without a trace.

"Chthon."

"magic is not used like this."

"You are being way too wasteful."

Renn sighed and spoke.

An ancient god was indeed extraordinary.

His power was virtually endless.

The energy consumed in using a Dark Spear was far more than Renn using it ten times.

What was even worse...

...was that the power this guy produced wasn't even that great.

Renn was speechless.

The source of Black Magic...

"...is just this?"

Chapter 197: Official vs. Bootleg, Chthon drained dry!

"Ding!"

"Your Infinite Devouring has come up with a bold idea."

"As a bootleg user, it is very necessary for you to teach the original owner a lesson."

"This is a battle of dignity between the official version and the bootleg version."

"Whoever laughs last will be able to seize the supreme status of the origin of Black Magic!"

The pleasant prompt tone of the system exploded in his mind.

After hearing this, Ryan almost spat out an old curse.

Facing the system's audacious proposal, he really wanted to give some down-to-Earth advice.

However.

The benefits given for winning this wave were simply too amazing.

If he really won according to what the magic said, wouldn't that be incredible?

That was the status of the origin of Black Magic!

This meant forcibly kicking Chthon off the throne and taking his place.

What did this mean?

It meant that in the future, all the poor fellows practicing Black Magic in the entire Universe.

All the prices they paid would fall into Ryan's pockets.

Freeloading everyone's rewards, this business was simply making a killing!

Those high-and-mighty gods were not running charities.

Why would they lend their power to mortals?

Wasn't it all to harvest leeks and strengthen themselves?

It was rare for the system to be so sensible this time, and Ryan very decisively gave it a thumbs up.

Without another word.

Ryan decided to properly wrestle with this ancient Underworld God.

"Underworld God."

"My Lord, the times have changed."

"This is long no longer the era where you could flaunt your power."

"After so many years of evolution, magic has long undergone a complete rebirth."

"Today, I will show great mercy and let you witness the greatness of mortal wisdom."

Ryan's tone was calm and full of confidence.

As soon as his voice fell, he raised his hand and pointed forward.

A violent vortex as dark as ink instantly condensed in his palm.

As soon as this vortex formed, like a starved ancient ferocious beast, it sucked fiercely at the void ahead.

The boundless realm of ultimate darkness shrouding all around.

Was being crazily devoured by this terrifying suction force like dirty water in a flush toilet.

Massive amounts of Dark energy poured directly into the black hole in Ryan's hand.

The surrounding darkness became visibly thinner.

In less than a few seconds, a few wisps of long-lost morning light even leaked through the sky.

Chthon's proud realm of darkness was actually forcibly torn apart just like that.

Chthon, suspended mid-air, instantly turned so dark in complexion that ink could drip from it.

Originally, according to the script.

All living beings using Black Magic in the entire Universe.

In front of him, the ancestor of Black Magic, should obediently kneel down and act like grandsons, with no power to parry at all.

However.

After being heavily beaten by the rule backlash just now.

He had already left a serious shadow in his heart.

Fearing that moving casually would summon another wave of beatings from the heavens and Earth.

In the end, he could only aggrievedly stare blankly, watching Ryan cast spells unscrupulously.

As the original creator of the spell Infinite Devouring.

Chthon naturally knew the details of this move.

This was an extremely overbearing top-tier Black Magic.

As long as the physical body could withstand the upper limit of the backlash, it could endlessly plunder all energy.

If the opponent dared to cast magic, they were simply sending rations to this move.

"Mage."

"You have some skills, playing with my spell quite smoothly."

"However..."

"Showing off in front of the founder is ultimately a display of petty skill before an expert!"

Chthon's face was full of sarcasm.

Until all the lingering dark Qi around was sucked clean by Ryan.

Chthon raised both hands.

Between his palms, an even larger and deeper black vortex likewise condensed.

"The same move."

"It seems you think you've got me in the bag."

Ryan didn't panic at all.

The vast magic in his body surged crazily into the vortex in his hand like a breached river.

The two pitch-black vortices confronted each other across space, crazily pulling at each other's energy.

The central zone where the two terrifying suction forces intersected.

Space distorted violently, and even the flow rate of time became bizarre and disordered.

Images of the past, present, and future crazily intertwined and collapsed in this area.

This terrifying fluctuation enough to destroy heaven and Earth.

Even Strange, hiding in the shield, felt his scalp go numb and his legs turn weak from watching.

He never dreamed in his wildest dreams.

Not only did Ryan practice White magic Earth-shakingly well.

Even the Black Magic representing taboos could actually be tyrannical to such an outrageous degree.

How could there be such a perverted all-rounder in this World who ignored the rules?

These two powers were clearly incompatible like water and fire!

Feeling the trembling coming from the depths of his soul.

Strange didn't dare say another word, dragging the unconscious Wanda and shrinking tightly behind Ryan.

Big bosses fighting.

Little shrimps like him were afraid of being affected even if they breathed a little loudly.

Mid-air, the stalemate between Ryan and Chthon was still continuing.

The two heaven-destroying devouring forces bit firmly together.

Both sides tightened their nerves, and neither dared to be the slightest bit distracted.

At this time.

Even if he just blinked for a moment, most of his origin might be forcibly sucked away by the opponent.

The seemingly calm confrontation was actually filled with danger at every step.

A slight carelessness would lead to complete destruction of body and soul.

Relying on being the original creator, Chthon always wore a confident expression on his face.

He stared at Ryan, pulling a mocking smile at the corner of his mouth.

"Mage."

"You wouldn't be naive enough to think that back then I would write all my trump cards in a book, would you?"

"You really think that any dog picked up from the roadside could learn the essence of my ultimate skills?"

Chthon's tone revealed a high-and-mighty contempt.

While speaking.

The suction force of the vortex in his hand suddenly surged, forcibly increasing by more than double!

"Ding!"

"Your Infinite Devouring says the opponent is cheating, and it feels like its body is about to be hollowed out."

"It urgently needs some Shenbao to continue holding on!"

Listening to the system's improper prompt, Ryan's mouth twitched crazily.

He just knew that this group of magical spells that had gained sentience would definitely pull some stunts at a critical moment.

Fortunately, he was well prepared.

Ryan freed his left hand and reached directly into the storage void.

Precisely pulling out the top-grade magic recovery potion he had swiped from Mordo earlier, without even looking at it, he crushed it and threw it into the black vortex in his hand.

"Ding!"

"Want good condition? Drink Immortal Treasure!"

"One bottle refreshes the mind, two bottles never tire!"

"Your Infinite Devouring has resurrected with full health on the spot, and even took drugs!"

Along with the system's cheerful broadcast.

The pitch-black vortex in Ryan's hand unexpectedly erupted with dazzling golden light.

As if a miniature black Sun was born in his palm.

Chthon's expression opposite him changed instantly.

A strong sense of unease surged into his heart.

What is going on?

Why did the devouring force of that kid opposite suddenly skyrocket like he took drugs?

Chthon clearly felt that.

His defense was about to be crushed.

Not only was the scattered energy sucked away, but even his most core divine origin began to flow uncontrollably toward Ryan's side!

What the hell did this kid throw into the vortex just now?

Could it be some kind of heavenly treasure containing supreme laws?

Chthon was utterly puzzled, with a face full of seeing-a-ghost expressions.

...

Returning the sight to Ryan's side.

The black light hole in his palm had now simply become the center of the entire World.

All tangible and intangible matter was being crazily pulled and devoured.

Strange grabbed the ground tightly, looking at this doomsday-like scene with eyes full of fear.

This was the first time he deeply realized that.

The Black Magic forbiddenly practiced in Kamar-Taj could actually be so terrifying when truly erupted.

But on second thought, he swallowed hard.

No, what was terrifying was not the Black Magic.

What was terrifying was this pervert Ryan!

Learning any casual spell could erupt with heaven-destroying lethality in Ryan's hands.

The duel in mid-air had already decided the winner.

Chthon's eye corners twitched crazily.

He could clearly feel that.

The foundation of this projection of his was being crazily drained dry.

His Black Magic attainments that he had been proud of for hundreds of millions of years.

Today were actually being rubbed against the ground by an Earth kid whose hair hadn't even fully grown?

This was simply too outrageous!

Could it be that he had lived all these years in vain?

He was the ancestor who created Black Magic!

Chthon completely fell into serious self-doubt.

However, as an ancient god who had been through hundreds of battles, he was not hysterical.

Seeing that the general trend was gone and he could never turn things around, Chthon sighed.

"Mage."

"You are indeed an anomaly, the most demonic human I have ever encountered in my life."

"If you were born in the ancient era."

"With your talent, you would definitely be qualified to ascend to godhood."

"It's just a pity that you will never have the chance again."

Chthon dropped a meaningful remark and directly gave up resistance.

His body instantly became dim and dull, like a shell drained of its soul.

In just a few seconds.

He was completely swallowed up to the last scrap and ash by the bottomless black hole in Ryan's hand.

Chapter 198: Slaying a God with magic! *Ding!*

"The host has successfully devoured ten percent of the Source of Dark Magic."

"Congratulations on acquiring ten percent of Chthon the God of the Underworld's exclusive authority."

"From this moment forth, all Black Magic in the Worldshall revere you as its king."

The system's crisp notification chimed in his ear.

However, Ryan frowned.

Only ten percent?

After all that effort, the one he just killed was only a clone?

With a bit of thought, he understood.

It would be too pathetic for the grand God of the Underworld to be instantly killed by a skill he had only learned a few days ago.

Since the clone was gone, where was the true body hiding?

Rumble!

A violent, Earth-shattering tremor suddenly erupted.

Ryan almost lost his footing. He quickly stabilized himself and looked around.

All the surrounding buildings shook frantically, and the entire World seemed to be trembling.

"Mage Ryan, what's going on?"

"Is there an earthquake?"

Behind him, Strange gripped a nearby pillar tightly and asked loudly.

"It's not an earthquake."

Ryan's expression was extremely solemn.

"What on Earth happened?" Strange asked, his mind filled with confusion.

"The God of the Underworld's true body has personally descended."

Ryan exhaled a breath of turbid air.

He had indeed underestimated the ancient gods.

He could clearly perceive it.

The shaking beneath his feet was not limited to Kamar-Taj.

Instead, the entire blue Planet was trembling.

In the space beyond Earth.

Chthon's true body had already descended.

Looking through the void, Ryan witnessed a shocking and terrifying sight.

The giant's body was actually several times larger than the entire Planet!

Standing on Earth, it was impossible to see the entity's full form.

Ryan could only marvel in his heart.

The ancient gods were uniquely blessed; their foundation was incredibly robust.

This exaggerated size alone was enough to crush countless powerhouses.

The larger the size, the more terrifying the reserve of divine power naturally was.

"Human mage!!"

"How does it feel now?!"

A deafening, colossal voice crashed down from high above.

Earth-shattering roars echoed in every corner of the Earth.

Inside the S.W.O.R.D. Base.

Nick Fury slumped on the sofa.

His face was as dark as the bottom of a pot.

Facing a god-level monster.

Their S.W.O.R.D. was just for show, completely powerless to fight back.

Just now.

They had sacrificed a sub-Base, only for all their weapons to be reduced to scrap metal.

The top-tier firepower of Stark Industries couldn't even scratch its skin.

Fury found it extremely ironic.

Tens of thousands of elite employees.

Countless days and nights of research, combining the World's most cutting-edge technology.

Yet the things they built weren't even worthy of scratching the enemy's itch.

Fury forced a bitter smile that looked worse than crying.

He truly felt physically and mentally exhausted.

Just let it be destroyed. It didn't matter anymore. Everything was over.

Just as Fury had completely shut himself off.

With a flash of his figure, Ryan leaped directly from Kamar-Taj into the vastness of space.

He saved a casual wave of his hand.

A solid barrier of light instantly enveloped the entire Planet.

The terrifying sound waves and divine power shockwaves from the outside were completely blocked.

Ryan looked down.

The defensive array left behind by the Sorcerer Supremewas already operating under overload.

If not for the protection of the array.

Earth would have already shattered into pieces during the previous tremors.

Even so, many regions still suffered severe disasters, and the entire globe plunged into panic.

"Chthon, you've gone too far."

"This is your hometown, after all."

"Do you plan to destroy it just like this?"

Ryan's face was frosty as he stared straight at the colossal body ahead.

In the vast starry sky.

Chthon resembled an boundless demon god.

Before him, Earth was like a fragile glass marble.

Even the distant Sun paled in comparison to this majestic body.

"Laughable. This is not Earth."

"It's nothing but a piece of debris. The real Earth shattered into dust long ago."

Chthon sneered mockingly.

The prison sealing him was actually a remnant continent of the ancient Earth.

Back then, the God Eater went on a killing spree, not only devouring countless gods but also shattering the ancient Earth.

It was entirely thanks to Gaea's intervention that their current home and the Milky Way Galaxy were reshaped.

Chthon was only focused on fleeing back then, but he was still caught and suppressed by Gaea.

This was also why he only dared to descend with a clone before.

Any slight movement from his true body could easily draw Gaea over.

However, things had already come to this.

Since his true body had appeared, he had to end this quickly!

"Mage."

"You have no idea what actually happened in the ancient era."

"This broken ball beneath your feet is an insult to the name of Earth."

Chthon roared loudly.

Massive sound waves raged through space.

This was the effect of pure divine energy vibration, directly using the vacuum as a medium for sound.

"A stray dog chased and bitten by the God Eater dares to talk so big?"

"Your posture while fleeing back then must have been very graceful, wasn't it?"

Ryan mocked him without any politeness.

Chthon's eyes instantly erupted with blinding red light.

The surrounding cosmic space was completely dyed blood-red, its brightness even eclipsing the blazing Sun.

"Shut your filthy mouth."

"You can only talk tough now. Let's see if you can still laugh in a moment."

"Once I crush you to death, I will grind this ball beneath my feet into dust."

Chthon bellowed loudly.

The roars echoed back and forth in the surrounding space.

Down on the ground, Fury in S.W.O.R.D.

His heart was completely filled with despair.

An existence of this monster-like level...

Can Ryan really win?

Among their past enemies, who had such an exaggerated size and such overbearing power?

Just looking at the massive shadow beyond the sky made Fury, an ordinary person without any superpowers, feel suffocated.

Can Ryan actually hold out?

Mortals simply could not imagine.

What kind of concept a creature larger than a Planet truly was.

The naked eye simply could not take in the giant's entire form.

As far as the eye could see, any single hair on its body was comparable to a continuous mountain range.

Ryan had to rely entirely on spreading out his mental power to barely make out Chthon's entire outline.

Anyone else without experience would have had their mind collapse from terror just facing this sheer size.

"Mage."

"This body is my true peak state."

"I'd like to see what you have to block it!"

Chthon stood tall in the void.

He swung his fist directly.

A punch smashed down fiercely.

The area of the fist alone was comparable to an entire continent.

Ryan's field of vision was instantly filled by the giant fist that blotted out the sky.

At the same time.

A suffocating pressure bore down on him.

Ryan felt as if he had fallen into a thick mire, making even moving his body incredibly difficult.

The surrounding space became rock-solid.

Trying to escape by tearing through space was completely impossible.

Ryan raised an eyebrow.

"Absolute lockdown? It seems you have great confidence in your strength."

"What a pity."

"My power is just as unreasonable!"

Ryan let out a roar.

Every single muscle in his body instantly erupted with violent power.

Chapter 199: A Mortal Slays a God, Chthon Driven Insane! Ryan suddenly exerted force, taking a step backward.

His feet stepped directly onto the vacuum, causing ripples visible to the naked eye to spread through the void, as if he had stepped on a solid surface.

Right after that...

He assumed a fighting stance and unleashed a heavy, powerful straight punch.

"Ding!"

"A mortal body, equaling the gods!"

"Host's mental willpower is highly concentrated. [Natural Ultra Instinct] has triggered its second-stage evolution!"

"Your strength has surged across the board!"

"Exclusive trait [Absolute Magic-Breaking Power] has upgraded to [Absolute God-Breaking Power]!"

Ryan only felt a burning heat in his chest.

A ball of fire exploded violently in the region of his heart, and scorching energy instantly flowed throughout his entire body.

A faint silver stream of light radiated from his body, enveloping him completely and instantly making his figure look incomparably majestic.

Before the gigantic titan, he was as tiny as an ant, yet his aura was like that of an invincible god of war.

BOOM!!!!

Two fists, one massive and one small, collided violently.

It was like a galloping elephant stepping on a matchstick.

Though vastly different in size, their power was evenly matched!

Two terrifying forces clashed frantically at the point where their fists met.

On one side was an unfathomable pure black, while on the other was a brilliant and dazzling silver-white.

The two forces ground against each other, causing the surrounding space to shatter inch by inch like glass, sending even the flow of time into complete chaos.

Nick Fury, who was hiding inside the S.W.O.R.D. space station...

...turned into a white-haired old man one moment, and a young lad the next.

The starry space within a radius of several light-years fell into complete disorder.

The melee combat between the two forcefully stirred the timeline into a complete mess.

Nick Fury's mind went completely blank, losing all ability to think.

Just by throwing punches at each other, how could they create such an absurdly huge commotion!

Even across such a vast distance, the space Base was on the verge of being shaken to pieces.

Looking at the two fighting on the screen, the former Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. had eyes filled with terror.

These two guys were simply insanely powerful.

Especially Ryan.

Despite clearly being an ordinary human, the explosive power he unleashed could actually go toe-to-toe with an ancient god.

After a brief moment of shock, Nick Fury completely shut down mentally.

Only a single thought remained in his mind.

Thank goodness Ryan was protecting Earth; this was truly a blessing for all of humanity.

At the center of the battlefield.

Ryan's eyes were sharp, as a continuous, violent surge of immense power exploded from within his body.

Gradually...

Chthon's body, as massive as a star, actually began to tremble violently out of control.

The Ancient God's physical body was on the verge of collapsing under the destructive impact.

This force was something even gods would fear.

"Chthon, it seems that after being locked up for so long, your body has long been completely depleted!"

The muscles on Ryan's arm swelled abruptly.

The silver light flared intensely, and violent power poured out.

Chthon gritted his teeth and held on stubbornly, mobilizing vast amounts of Black Magic in an attempt to resist.

Unfortunately, Ryan's strength was still skyrocketing relentlessly.

The balance collapsed in an instant.

Chthon's massive fist caved in on the spot.

Chi!

The silver light was unstoppable.

Before the [God-Breaking Power], the Ancient God's protective aura was no different from paper and was torn apart in an instant.

"Ah!"

Chthon let out a blood-curdling shriek of agony.

His insanely thick arm was pulverized inch by inch by the silver glow, with large chunks of flesh and blood crumbling apart.

The divine blood rained down into space like a waterfall.

The bright red blood carried terrifying vitality and dark aura.

However, under Ryan's formidable pressure, the energy within the divine blood couldn't last even a second before being instantly reduced to ashes.

Ryan retracted his fist, standing tall in midair, and exhaled a long breath of turbid air.

The [Natural Ultra Instinct] was domineering indeed; even the progenitor who created Black Magic couldn't withstand a single punch.

"Chthon, how about now?"

"Can you still maintain your high-and-mighty attitude?"

"I told you long ago, times have changed, but you just didn't get it."

Ryan spoke in a calm tone.

Chthon's eyes were bloodshot red as he glared fixatedly at Ryan, unable to squeeze out a single word for a long time.

After holding it in for a long while, he finally roared through gritted teeth:

"Human, you truly are an anomaly."

"In terms of combat power, even among the gods, you would be at the absolute top."

"But you only represent yourself—you're a freak!"

"The iron laws of magic in the Universe will never change!"

Accompanying his roar, thick black fog surged frantically around Chthon's severed arm.

He did not hesitate to consume his divine origin to forcibly reconstruct his physical body.

Immediately after, Chthon threw his head back and roared.

Deep within the multiverse, countless sorcerers practicing Black Magic turned pale at the same time.

The magic power within their bodies surged out uncontrollably, traversing endless space to rapidly gather toward Chthon's direction.

Some sorcerers with weak cultivation didn't even have time to react before their flesh, blood, and souls were completely drained dry.

Borrowing the power of a god meant paying it back with one's life sooner or later.

Chthon was now forcefully collecting his debts!

In front of Ryan, a massive black abyss tore open abruptly behind Chthon.

It was as if an ugly scar had been sliced open across the belly of the Universe.

Boundless dark energy poured into Chthon's body like a raging flood.

The giant's body expanded wildly once more, radiating a suffocating pressure.

"Do you see it now? This is endless, infinite power!"

"I told you, the iron laws have never changed!"

"And I, a god, am the manifestation of the greatest iron law in the Universe!"

"Gathering the gifts of the multiverse, today will be the day of your death!"

The tempestuous dark aura vibrated half of the Universeinto trembling violently.

One must know...

Chthon was the ancestor of all Black Magic.

No matter how future generations improved it, they were all drawing from his foundation.

As long as these sorcerers died, or if Chthon actively cast his net, all of that origin power would return to his hands.

Unfortunate souls practicing Black Magic across the entire Universe were as numerous as hair on an ox, impossible to count.

Even Sorcerer Ancient One knew some Black Magic.

However, with the cosmic entity Eternity backing the Ancient One, Chthon didn't dare to look for trouble with her at all.

But the vast majority of sorcerers had no backing whatsoever, and could only obediently become lambs to the slaughter.

Chapter 200: Universal Cataclysm, World-Wide Madness! When Chthon Began Forcibly Collecting Debts.

The entire multiverse descended into total chaos.

Deep in the Universe, countlessly many living beings dropped dead instantly.

Whether high-and-mighty figures or commoners at the bottom, anyone who had ever touched Black Magic turned into a pile of dry bones in an instant, their very souls forcibly torn away.

Even the technologically advanced Kree Empire and Nova Corps were not spared.

There were always greedy bugs trying to trade sacrifices for power, and today, retribution came all at once.

Chthon frantically drained vast quantities of souls and dark origin energy, his oppressive aura surging higher and higher.

Major star systems collapsed into unprecedented turmoil.

Even those who didn't die outright could only cower and tremble in their defensive bunkers, terrified by this dread aura capable of obliterating heaven and Earth.

While other Universes suffered terribly, the Universe Renn was currently in was practically a living purgatory.

On the homeworld of the Kree Empire, no trace of high-tech prosperity remained.

Under the crushing divine pressure of the ancient god, the artificial intelligence "Supreme Intelligence" crashed and paralyzed completely.

Deprived of leadership, the Kree under authoritarian rule fell into complete civil strife.

Residents of the lowest slums beneath the skyscrapers raised their weapons with bloodshot eyes, madly slaughtering the high-class nobles.

In just a few minutes, the lower floors of hundred-story skyscrapers were completely packed with corpses.

Out of thirty billion Kree, one-tenth of the population met a violent death in an instant!

And this was merely the tip of the iceberg of disaster.

Chthon's divine power was steeped in darkness, specifically amplifying the sin deep within the hearts of intelligent life.

Contaminated by this power, interstellar citizens who prided themselves on being part of an advanced civilization all turned into mad Beasts.

Xandar, known as the jewel of the Universe.

Normally protected by the Nova Corps, it was a peaceful sanctuary.

Now, it had turned directly into an Asura slaughterhouse.

Interstellar pirates, desperados, and sworn enemy races took advantage of the Nova Corps being overwhelmed to tear into each other frantically.

The most prosperous commercial plaza turned into a blood-and-flesh meat grinder.

Fountains flowed with scarlet blood, and the ground was strewn with severed limbs.

They fought maniacally like mindless wild dogs, without the slightest shadow of civilized people left.

Such tragedies were unfolding in every single corner of the Universe.

Only those with sufficiently formidable mental strength could barely withstand this mental pollution.

Yet looking across the entire Universe, experts capable of achieving this were few and far between.

Thanos had spent his entire life scheming, sacrificing countless subordinates and exhausting all efforts just to wipe out half of all life in the Universe.

Meanwhile, Chthon hadn't even moved—merely exuding a tiny trace of his aura easily surpassed Thanos's record!

Such was the terror of a primordial ancient god!

Right now, the only safe zone in the entire Universe was Earth behind Renn.

Inside S.W.O.R.D.'s space Base.

Alarms screamed frantically. The main screen flashed on, revealing Captain Marvel's face.

"Fury, how is the situation on Earth?"

Covered in blood and grime, exhausted to the extreme, she retained not a shred of the majesty of the Universe's strongest superhero.

Nick Fury was startled: "Captain, how did you end up like this?"

Captain Marvel broke down and shouted: "It's insane! The whole Universe has gone mad!"

The camera swung wildly. On the screen, aliens were biting each other like zombies, with minced flesh and viscera everywhere—a scene ten times more horrific than a Resident Evil movie.

Even Fury, accustomed to chaos, was nauseated, his dark face turning pale with fright.

"Captain, what on Earth happened?"

"I don't know! I was just helping them fend off foreign enemies, and in the blink of an eye, everyone went mad! Andromeda, Centaurus, the entire Milky Way Galaxy... it's all in chaos!"

Captain Marvel babbled incoherently, staring at the screen like a drowning person clutching a lifeline: "What about Earth? Tell me Earth is okay!"

Fury glanced at the monitoring system.

Although people across the globe were panicking, the government was still operating normally, and no gruesome cannibalistic outbreaks had occurred.

"Earth is completely normal."

Fury let out a long sigh of relief.

Captain Marvel heaved a sigh of relief, then asked with full confusion: "How? Earth is so weak—why is the whole Universe ruined while Earth alone remains unharmed?"

Hearing the question, Nick Fury abruptly raised his head, staring dead ahead into the depths of space.

How else? It was Renn!

It was Renn who, single-handedly, held back all the disasters outside of Earth!

...

Out in deep space, Renn had no idea what a massive cataclysm had occurred in the Universe.

He stared at Chthon ahead of him.

Having absorbed a staggering amount of power, Chthon's current state finally had the imposing grandeur of a creation deity.

During those ten-plus minutes when Chthon was frantically absorbing energy, Renn naturally hadn't been standing idly by.

Strike while the enemy is down—that was his consistent rule.

However...

Even after launching a tempest of attacks, Chthon relied on his boundless divine power to instantly heal any injury he sustained. A pure war of attrition was definitely unwise.

Renn decisively stopped, conserving his magic for the upcoming life-or-death battle.

As the god contained his aura, the violent turmoil across the Universe finally quieted down, and all dark energy was compressed back into Chthon's body.

The Universe quieted down.

Yet the pressure facing Renn shot up drastically, causing the surrounding space to groan and creak under the suffocating weight.

Far away inside S.W.O.R.D.

Even with Renn's magic shield standing in front, the lingering pressure seeping inside was still terrifying.

Nick Fury slumped in his chair, forced to cling tightly to a medical oxygen bag and inhale frantically just to barely keep from passing out.

If Fury was reduced to such a state as a mere bystander...

The pressure Renn faced standing directly before the ancient god was unimaginable.
