Rudra lowered his hands, looking at them both with respect.
"I didn't come here for battle," he said. "I came because there's a threat far beyond your comprehension — a being named Cell."
He walked forward, the soft wind of the sacred world swirling around him. "Right now, two half-Saiyans — Gohan and Trunks — are training inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. They're strong… stronger than most gods, perhaps. But even then, I fear it won't be enough."
Shin's expression darkened. "Cell… the creature of Doctor Gero. His energy has already begun distorting the balance of several realms. Even we have sensed his chaos."
Rudra nodded. "Exactly. That's why I came here. I need your help… Supreme Kai."
Kibito looked suspicious. "And what would a mortal need from a god?"
Rudra took a slow breath, his tone resolute. "I need your Potara Earrings."
The silence that followed was heavy — like thunder before a storm.
Shin blinked once. "Potara… Earrings? How does a mortal even know of their existence?" His tone grew sharp. "And more importantly — why do you seek them?"
Rudra smiled faintly — not with arrogance, but conviction.
"Because I know what they can do. They have the power to merge two souls into one. A perfect fusion. If Gohan and Trunks use them… they might become strong enough to end Cell once and for all."
Both Shin and Kibito stared at him — their divine composure faltering.
Shin took a half-step forward, voice trembling. "You mean to tell me… you would risk the divine balance itself? You want to grant mortals the ability of gods?"
Rudra chuckled softly, his gaze calm and unshaken.
"Sometimes, gods forget — mortals are also fragments of divinity. They just… haven't realized it yet."
The air fell silent again.
Shin looked at him — truly looked. This wasn't arrogance he saw in Rudra's eyes. It was understanding. The same understanding the gods once had before they became divine. The realization that divinity wasn't born from power… but from awareness.
Rudra continued softly, "If mortals must face the threat that even gods cannot directly stop… then isn't it only fair they be given the tools to survive?"
Kibito clenched his fists. "You speak too boldly for a mortal!"
Shin, however, raised his hand — stopping him.
He stared at Rudra for a long, silent moment. Then, slowly, his expression softened.
"Your courage… and your awareness — they are unlike any mortal I've ever seen."
He sighed deeply, the weight of his decision settling upon his shoulders. "You understand what you ask for may alter fate itself."
Rudra nodded. "Fate has already been altered the moment Cell was born."
The Kai's eyes glimmered — torn between divine law and divine purpose.
Finally, he whispered, "Perhaps… destiny itself chose you to come here."
He turned slightly, looking at Kibito. "Bring them."
Kibito hesitated. "My lord—"
"Do it," Shin said firmly.
Kibito bowed, then disappeared in a flash of white light. Moments later, he returned, holding a small, glowing box. Inside — rested two golden Potara Earrings, shining like tiny suns.
Shin gazed at Rudra one last time. "If I give you these… will you swear to use them only for balance — not for destruction?"
Rudra placed his right hand over his heart. "I swear it upon my Atman."
For a long moment, the realm was silent — and then Shin nodded.
"Very well… Mortal Rudra. Take them. And may your path light the darkness even the gods cannot see."
Rudra stepped forward, bowing deeply as he accepted the Potara Earrings. "Thank you, Supreme Kai. I won't let this trust go to waste."
As he turned to leave, Shin called out once more — his voice echoing with divine authority.
"Rudra! Remember this… power granted by gods comes with a burden only the soul can carry. Be sure yours is ready."
Rudra smiled faintly, golden light swirling around him as he prepared his Instant Teleportation technique.
"It already is."
In a flash, he vanished — leaving behind only ripples of divine energy in the Sacred World's air.
Shin watched those ripples fade, whispering quietly, "That mortal… may one day walk among the gods."
