Chapter 236 — Big Mouth
Yota had one goal.
Not the Hokage. Not even Fugaku.
He needed Uchiha Itachi to teach him Ninjutsu.
And the first step toward that was simple:
Earn Uchiha Fugaku's trust.
With that ambition burning in his chest, Yota pushed open the front gate of the Hokage's estate—
—and immediately found someone blocking his way.
A tall Uchiha jonin stepped out from the courtyard, eyes narrowing with irritation.
"What do you think you're doing here?"
Uchiha Ryoichi, one of the guards assigned to Fugaku's household, looked at the uninvited child with a frown. This was the Clan Head's residence — not a playground.
"I'm here to see Uchiha Fugaku."
Yota spoke with the casual arrogance of someone who still subconsciously viewed this world as fiction and its people as NPCs.
Ryoichi's expression darkened immediately.
This brat dared call the Hokage — the Clan Head — by name?
It didn't matter whose child he was. There were rules.
"Kid," Ryoichi said coldly, stepping forward to block him. "Who is your father? What's his name? Where do you live?"
"What nonsense are you talking about? Just call Fugaku out here. Tell him I want to see him."
The haughty tone.
The disrespect.
The lack of awareness.
If he had been speaking to someone who already knew about Yota's supposed "head injury" — like Yoko or Kunihiko — this might have been excused.
But Ryoichi didn't know.
And to him, the little brat's attitude screamed one word: discipline.
Before Yota could blink—
SMACK!
A sharp strike cracked across his cheek, sending him flying to the ground.
Yota lay there stunned.
He hit me?! He hit this young man without warning… without martial ethics!
He pushed himself up, eyes blazing. Never in his pampered previous life had he been slapped like this.
"You— do you want to die?!"
To Ryoichi, the outburst was laughable.
A child whose head barely reached his waist threatening him?
He stepped forward.
And slapped Yota again.
SMACK!
The other cheek swelled instantly, giving him a perfectly symmetrical pig-head appearance.
Holding his burning face, Yota roared, "Bastard! You're dead! You're dead!"
Ryoichi didn't even bother responding to the childish threat. He grabbed Yota by the collar, lifting him easily off the ground like a misbehaving puppy.
Yota flailed furiously — only to realize, to his utter despair, that his arms were too short to even reach Ryoichi's chest.
Seeing the amused smirk on the jonin's lips, Yota's indignation exploded.
Then a spark lit up in his mind.
The Phoenix Sage Fire Technique!
He had practiced it for three days straight. He hadn't succeeded once… but what if he did now?
Fueled by desperation, he formed hand seals as quickly as he could.
Ryoichi simply watched, mildly surprised.
A child of this age performing the C-Rank Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique meant he wasn't without talent. Still nowhere near the clan's elites, but respectable.
Of course, compared to the prodigies — Young Master Sasuke and Young Master Naruto, who were already learning multiple Fire Release variants — this was nothing.
Still, he watched the boy's seals with the polite curiosity of someone observing a toddler attempting to run.
Yota completed the final seal.
"Fire Release: Phoenix Sage Fire Technique!"
Nothing happened.
Not even a puff of smoke.
Ryoichi's lips twitched in amusement.
"WHY?! Why didn't it work again?!"
Hearing Ryoichi's quiet snort of laughter, Yota felt a new level of shame.
His first ever Ninjutsu failure witnessed by this hateful man — this was humiliation on a cosmic scale.
"Let me down! If you don't want to die, put me down right now! Do you even know who I am?!"
Ryoichi raised an eyebrow.
"Oh? Then who are you?"
He genuinely wanted to know which household produced this wild child — so he could personally deliver the brat back home for a second round of discipline.
"This young master goes by his name and keeps his surname— Uchiha Yota!"
"I see. And your father?"
The dismissive tone stabbed straight into Yota's pride.
He had transmigrated to the Naruto world! He should have been treated like destiny's chosen! Yet here he was — humiliated by some random Uchiha guard whose name he couldn't even remember.
It was unbearable.
And this was only the beginning.
