Conflict brings pain.
Being involved brings pain.
In such conflict we can assume there are three people who deal with conflict very differently.
Some people can.
Some people can't.
Some people won't.
For the people who can— you can exactly call them heroes. They believe helping people who are involved in such conflict is the right thing to do. It's human nature to help someone in need.
For the people who can't— You can call them cowards, but why? You can't blame them? It's human nature to be scared, it's part of a fight or flight.
But the most interesting part is...
If there is a fight or flight what do you call the people who won't?
Avoidance? Maybe.
Conflict avoider? Hmm... Getting there.
It's night.
But why night?
Is there any specific reason why?
Well you can tell I really like to rhyme things but the true reason is...
Night is for the people who hides.
It fits doesn't it?
It also symbolizes people who fake sleep, trying to avoid something, they will do everything just to not get involved.
Won't speak such a thing.
Won't hear such a thing.
Won't see such a thing.
Let me give you an example of a person who avoids conflict—
And his story of being....
It was the time of midnight, exactly around 12:00 am.
Our protagonist is Sento Mizaki—
A young highschool student.
Around this midnight, sento goes out from his home to buy ramen.
You can say that he can just cook some food but his refrigerator is empty even the dust is embarrassed to show up.
Sento goes far left where the ramen section is. He saw many flavored cup ramen and was very decisive on what he would grab, at last he picked a spicy flavored one.
Sento walked to the counter and saw a young male in his late thirties, wearing a green cap and white shirt with the logo of the convenience store.
"Cash or card?" The cashier asked grabbing a brown paper bag below the counter table.
"I'll go cash." Sento said reaching his wallet on his left pocket with his right hand. Inside his wallet was 300 yen, luckily this spicy flavored was only 200. Sento form a smile on his face. 'i won't be broke.'
"Here." Sento gave his 200 yen to the cashier and grab his ramen inside the brown paper bag.
Sento peeled the foil lid back just a fraction, leaving a crescent gap just enough for the boiling water.
He stood up from his chair and goes to the hot water dispenser near left to the coffee machine. Sento walks back and sat once again to his chair and waits patiently for just about three minutes.
Time passes by as Sento was doom scrolling on his cellphone and suddenly an alarm rings just enough for only him to hear on his phone. Sento picks up his chopsticks opening it very smoothly and finally opens his ramen mixing it slightly just for the noodles absorb the flavor.
About four minutes he finishes it, blurping silently.
He stood up, throws his ramen on the trash can and as he was about to leave until he saw three men with mask on, holding a weapon.
The three men entered the convenience store and made sento kneel, as for the cashier he was forced to takeout all the cash on the register.
Suddenly a thought come across Sento's mind. 'can I escape?' should I stand?'
Sento tried to stood up his left knee moves a little bit, he looks up at the robbers and they seem not notice him moving slightly.
He moves his right knee but one robber saw him and shouted against him.
"Don't do anything stupid, kid! Don't move and I'll spare your life!"
Sento stops moving like a statue, his heartbeat raising, his mind constantly overthinking. 'am I going to die, but I can't.'
Finally the three robbers finished grabbing all the money, in the glimpse of sento eyes he saw them moving and already reaching for the door, sento slightly stood up but he saw on his two eyes, one robber paused, not moving at all, Sento's eyes stared deeply on the brown boots of the robber, Sento raises his head and saw already the weapon of the robber aim at him.
Bang!
In flick of an eye, sento falls down, the last robber escapes, before sento dies he saw far away the black car of the robbers backing up on the parking lot of the convenience store. The black car reaches the road and a truck crashes at the robbers car.
'deserve.'
Sento died.
But his mind was active, playing memories of him when he was a baby and to his last.
I guess you could say he had such a blast.
"Merlin! Merlin!" Shouted by a man considering his tone deep.
"Merlin! The Professor is calling you." Said by someone next to him.
Merlin stood up from his chair, not knowing what was happening and naturally just answer the question on the whiteboard.
"What are two reasons in order to gain wish?" The Professor dub the writings on the board.
Merlin pondered and. "A genie?"
"Merlin!!" The Professor shouted once again his voice can be heard across the room.
'What is going on!?'
