And in the mountain area, some medical and civilian tents were placed with red crosses on them, several people were gather there, checking for any health or injury.
Krishna and Chintu entered a long line waiting for Krishna's turn. There was several people around Krishna's age maybe older and they looked different and well clothed, they were the city people that Chintu talked about. They were wearing gloves and face masks, which he felt little off about.
" Why are they wearing face masks?" asked Krishna to Chintu .
" Corona." Said the little boy. And Krishna nodded. He looked at the long line that they are part of, and he tried to look ahead at what people were doing, when he saw a woman with long brown hair. He couldn't see her face, but he sensed that she was different. He looked around and saw many people, and a young girl holding a camera, taking pictures of everything, literally everything.
" Hay! Why are they taking pictures of sheeps." Asked Krishna to Chintu.
" Probably for dinner. " Said Chintu, and the camera girl looked at him, and they both turned back, ignoring her.
" Maybe we should leave. " said Krishna to Chintu.
" Yes, Daadi will love to know about your miracle of yesterday. " Said Chintu, and Krishna didn't look faced.
" How many of those letters have you written?" Asked Krishna, wanting to strangle this guy to death.
" I'm not gonna tell you that. " Said chintu, and Krishna's turn came.
"Next. " And when Krishna heard that, he looked at the woman sitting in front of him.
And after seeing her, he paused, literally. All the sound in world faded, and melodic music stafyed playing around him. He looked at her black eyes with black kaajal on it. The whole world became quiet for him. He was just seeing the beautiful eyes of that beautiful doctor, everything else was just a blur to him, he didn't care that she was wearing a face mask, her eyes were enough for him.
And he would have kept on staring at for ages listening to that sweet music in his mind, if a shoulder to his hand had not ticked him. He looked around and saw that everything was normal and the beautiful doctor was looking at him, saying next. He immediately sat on the chair and kept looking at her. And she, like a professional, did his job, and took a sample of his blood by an injection. And he didn't hear her telling him to go, and Chintu had to drag him away. And he looked at him.
"Done, you said it will be long and painful. I didn't feel anything ."
" Because they took a drop for checking, and after that, they will take blood. "
" Did she drink my blood? " Asked Krishna with a smile.
" If yes. I wouldn't mind. " said Krishna.
" Do you like her?" Asked Chintu
" Isn't she beautiful?" He said with a smile.
" Beautiful? You didn't even saw her face." And Krishna said in a dreamy face.
" Who loves because of just looking the face?"
" Everyone." Chintu said.
Krishna didn't heard that, he was still lost in her eyes. Chintu heard someone calling for him. And Chintu has to drag him away from that doctor. And they stay in a tent nearby, waiting for the doctor. And soon that same doctor from earlier came, and Krishna looked at her. She was beautiful and a little tall. She had light wheat skin and black eyes, brown hair, with a beautiful eyes. And she wore a doctor coat over her normal sky blue dress, with that doctor mask on.
And as soon as she enters, the whole world becomes silent once again, and that same melodious music starts to play again. And he didn't hear anything, didn't feel anything, there was just her and him with music. his blood taking process ended. Then they gave him a headset, where they checked his eyes, and then a gripp taster, which he totally ignored, then a mouth breather, where he had to blow a wind in a device, and he did just that, ignoring everything except her, everything was like a dream to him. Then he did some pushups, while keeping looking at her, and he forgot how much and how long he did it, he was just seeing her. Then outside they gave him a ball which he gently tossed away, and kept looking at her, he was like new found first time lovesick idiot. They made him run on a treadmill which he didn't remember, and in this whole time, she didn't give him more than anything. The music was still on in his mind, he didn't remember how long it took, how many different things he did, for him this was all short as a moment. Then they both sat on the chair outside of the camp on the afternoon sunrays.
After everything that happen he didn't remember anything about what happened there, he just remembered those beautiful Obsidian eyes. And when he reached home, those eyes were the only thing that he recalled seeing, and fell asleep in his bed smiling.
And the next morning when he woke up, something was hitting him. And when he opens his eyes. He saw his granny hitting him with a stick. And when he realised what's happening, he scorns under her beating.
" You idiot, where were you last day? I just got a little angry and you didn't show up for a whole day. Where were you Krishna....?, there was so many noises yesterday. I know it's was you, you were cracking fire crackers with kids I knew it." And she kept beating him.
" Dadi please, dadi please. Let me say. " And she didn't let him stay until the stick was broken.
" Tell me where you are." And she again grabbed his ear.
" You tried to sneak into the city, didn't you?"and he replied that he didn't sneak anywhere, he was with Chintu and they were just hanging near the pond, and he swore in her name. And after hearing this she loosens the ear.
" Why didn't you tell me that earlier? And don't think about going to the city sneakily or something." She said and then dropped him, and started leaving his room.
" Breakfast is ready and you can go anywhere without informing me," said the granny.
And Krishna looked at the broken stick at the ground.
" Old woman. "
" What did you say? " She said from downstairs.
" Nothing. " He immediately replied.
He stood up, and saw a glass of bournvita there for him, and he immediately sipped that, and looked at the sky, when a plane flying caught his attention.
And he heard Chintu saying,
" Krishna, your beautiful doctor lady is going away in the plane." And he immediately looked at the plane up above.
He took off.
He jumped from his balcony to a roof. And immediately got into a sprint, and started jumping through the rooftop to rooftops like a spring is attached to him. Each jump of his got longer and longer while the contanct of him and roof become less and less. His speed increased as he looked at the fast moving plane.
And soon, he was in the outskirts of town, and in the forest. He jumped from tree to tree like a monkey, not even putting both of his feet on the trees, his focus and eyes were on the plane. He took a right, and started to go a little off from the plane's direction, and started to climb a mountain with both hands and started to climb very fast. And with some effort, he soon got on the top, and now he can see the plane, flying just above him. He starts to run on the hills and cliffs toward a hill which was higher than others. His goal was to reach there. And soon enough, he reached there. And saw the plane flying just a few feet away from him, and he looked inside the plane, and she wasn't there, the camera girl was there, maybe she was on another side. His mood dampened a little . He was breathing heavily and his heart was beating a little faster.
He sat on the rock nearby, and looked at the sun above. And soon his breathing starts to come in control, and his heart cooling down.
Sometimes later, he jumped on his room's balcony, sad and a little gloomy, when he noticed someone standing in front of him. And it was his grandmother.
" Where were you?" And seeing his fate, he looked down, and said in a meek voice.
" I'm sorry." And he sighs ready for beating. But to his surpise, it didn't come. He was about to look up he heard he replying.
" I'm sorry. " He looked at her in surprise, not understanding why she was apologizing, when he noticed her sad face.
" I'm sorry that I couldn't allow you to go to the town. " And he kept looking at her.
"I'm sorry, beta... but I can't let you go to that city," her voice trembled. "I've already lost too much. I can't lose you too."
