And far away in Mumbai, Priya came back home from college work, and looked at Krishna, who like usual, was putting plates on the table.
" You are back." said Krishna.
" How's Daadee's health, is she ok now?"
" Yeah, I told you on the phone, she is fine." And Priya sat on the table and made herself comfortable, and after a moment of silence, she asked.
" So you have decided?" And Krishna looked at him, and replied.
" Yes." And after hearing this, Priya didn't ask anything about this, but instead, asked something else.
" Tomorrow is Sunday, why don't we go watch a movie. We haven't watched a movie together, have we?" and Krishna pondered for a moment and then agreed, and suggested.
" Why don't we watch that Krish movie, Sakshi was telling me to watch this." and after hearing this, Priya was surprised, but agreed.
" Let's go then."
The next day, they were in the cinema, watching the week old Krish movie, and Krishna the protagonist was most of the time surprised by the movie, and when the movie ended, he looked at Priya and said nervously.
" I never kissed Supriya, I don't remember it, I don't remember doing half of the scene in the movie . This is wrong, it did not happen-" and Priya understands what was happening, he thinks the incident in the movie is true.
" Krishna, they are exaggerating, nothing in the movie is true, it's a fictional story of a true event." And Krishna after hearing this was surprised.
" Really? How can they show that then, I never kissed Supriya, what if she thinks I'm weird." and after hearing this she patted his shoulder.
" Don't give it much thought, it's just a way to make more money. What happened to you? I'm reality is pretty much boring for them, they have to spice up the audience."
" But!! Forget about this, let's eat ice cream then." and just as they were going out, Krishna saw the Krish marching, going outside, denouncing him. His eyes stayed there for a while, and a call from Priya got his attention back, and he heard Priya talking about the movie again.
And in the ice cream shop, Priya asked him a question
" By the way Krishna, how did you react when you realised you have superpowers? Was it like the movie, you try to hide it or something?" And Krishna after swallowing the ice cream replied.
" Not really, half of my life I thought my power came because I drank too much Bournvita, as a kid." And Priya after hearing this looked at him, with a look that said, are you serious?
" You are not joking are you?" And when he nodded, she started to laugh, a small and beautiful laugh.
" Did you really believe that?" And Krishna nodded, his face a little resentful.
" Daadee used to tell me, drink Bournvita and become stronger, I used to think I drank too much, and gain this power. It was way later that I realized it was something else. It was working too well." And Priya after a moment stopped, and looked behind Krishna.
" There is a person entering a jewellery store with a hand." Krishna looked behind and instinctively turned, ready to move, but a hand stopped him. He turned, and saw Priya shaking his head.
" The security will take care of it." and just as she said that, a few people in a security guard uniform entered the same jewelry store, and things were soon in control. Krishna looked at this whole scene from afar, and when the dust settled, he took a deep breath and Priya saw all of his reactions, and said lightly.
" restless?" And Krishna shook his head.
" Nothing, it's just-" And Priya grabbed his hand.
" Forget about this, let's walk around." and they started to walk in a park away from the city. They were talking about the past, and Krish related stuff, when they got to the point about him saving a kitten from the tree and Priya suddenly remembered and said.
" Whenever they talk about kittens in the tree, there is usually a kitten on the tree to be saved." And just as she said that, he heard a kid screaming for help, his cat was in the tree. She looked at him, and then went around to confirm if there was a camera or Sakshi hiding somewhere, but found none. And Krishna, like an obedient child, stood behind her. And she saw this, said.
" Go ahead." Well even Krishna can do this stuff.
And Krishna indeed did this, he saved the cat and gave it to the kid.
" Why?" she asked herself, and then forgot it.
They walked slowly and reached the memorial place, and there they saw a statue building, and it was of Krish, and they saw it half finished, and several letters and crosses there. The sun was setting and the weather was cloudy, and when they reached the place, he saw several old and worn candles there, in front of the half finished statue.
Krishna saw the statue, and the condition it was in, and he felt a little sad seeing the situation and there, the bundle of , the whitened flowers, the dimmed candles.
" this is the place where I fought him." Said Krishna lightly.
" Dr Arya?" She asked. And he didn't answer.
They went close, and saw several people leaving latters, they went to the edge of the statue, and Krishna saw the half finished concrete statue up close.
He kneeled down, and picked up later, and he saw a few words written on it.
" I believe in you." And he put the letter back, and saw a letter that said something else.
" Are you a hero?" And he saw a gust of wind coming, and several letters flew up in the air, coming in his direction.
He closed his eyes, and several letters flew by him.
And soon, time passed, Krishna also adjusted, he did some small restlessness here and there, things were calming down, riots and march were becoming less, the topic of Krish was still hot, but not that hot it used to be. He could still hear people complaining. He watches news, a habit he never had before, and he felt like, world hasn't changed much. The earth was still rotating, people were doing their jobs. Krishna also gets the chance to roam around freely. He began to doubt himself, what even he was doing? Was it worth it? He began to question himself. Questions that he has no answer for.
