I didn't move, afraid that the blade would jab my neck if I did. I didn't know the intention of the person behind me, and I couldn't tell if they'd truly let me go if I left the crest.
My grip tightened on the crest, and my teeth gritted. "I found it first."
If they searched around the forest more, I was sure they'd be able to find another. But then, the person didn't seem interested in exploring.
"Well, there are no rules or laws against hijacking." She said, the blade pressing into my neck more, and my nose wrinkled as I perceived the faint metallic scent of blood.
I looked down at my neck to see the crimson liquid trickling down. A groan escaped my lips, and I felt a sharp pain, but I ignored it. Where the hell did Sophia go?
She could sneak up on this bitch and knock her out or even try to distract her so I'd be able to get to safety. However, she wasn't here. I supposed she had left me to do all the damned work.
