Eleanor gave him a long, pointed look, the kind only grandmothers have perfected after decades of use.
"That's my job, dear. And for the record, you're already spoiled enough to last three lifetimes."
Andrew chuckled softly, shaking his head with amusement.
"Your grandma's right, Axel. We've spoiled you more than enough. It's time someone else gets the attention."
Andrew smiled warmly at Evelyn before continuing, "Now it's your turn to be showered with love, Eve."
Evelyn laughed softly, glancing at Axel just in time to see him lift his hands in surrender, his grin stretching wide.
But behind his teasing charm, there was something gentler; a tenderness that caught her off guard.
