Navian's eyes darkened slightly. "Are you going to give him what he wants?"
Willow shook her head. "No. But then again, I don't even know what he wants."
"It's a bad idea," Navian said flatly, not even trying to hide his disapproval.
She gave him an innocent look. "Yes, but I need information. I'll be fine."
Navian slowly withdrew his hand from her hair, only to raise it again. This time brushing his thumb across her cheek in a tender, grounding gesture. "You weren't fine a few hours ago," he muttered.
Willow's lips parted, ready to reassure him but Evren cut in, leaning forward. "So you're gonna keep training with him?"
Willow turned to him, shrugging. "He's helpful."
"I'll do it. I'll train you," Navian said immediately.
Willow smiled faintly, warmth blooming in her chest. "You're participating too, Navian. I'll be fine. Really."
