Chapter 30 - A Date to Remember

It was a warm Saturday afternoon, the sun sitting high in the sky, casting a golden glow over everything.

By noon, the makeover team had arrived at Talia's family home. Her mother clapped her hands in delight as the stylists worked — brushing Talia's hair into soft curls, enhancing her natural beauty with subtle makeup, and slipping her into a stunning hot-red dress that hugged her figure perfectly.

When the sleek black car pulled up outside, her mother hugged her tightly, whispering with teary eyes.

"My daughter today is your day. Shine for the world."

Talia smiled shyly, her heart racing, and then she was driven away.

The car stopped at a breathtaking garden in full bloom. Flowers of every color lined the walkway, butterflies danced in the air, and the entire place had been decorated with ribbons and white roses under the clear blue sky. The sunlit scene looked straight out of a fairytale.

Adrian stood at the center, waiting. When his eyes landed on her, he froze, stunned.

"She's an angel…" he said under his breath.

Talia glanced around, amazed at the beauty of the environment, then looked back at him.

"Adrian… Why are you treating me this nice?"

He walked up to her slowly, eyes never leaving hers.

"Because you're my queen, Talia. And you deserve the world."

He led her to a small canopy set with a white table, fine wine, and fresh roses. They sat down, but after a few minutes of light talk, his expression grew serious.

"Tell me… what happened during the abduction?"

Her hands trembled as she spoke, her voice breaking with emotion.

Talia teary "Cassandra… She tortured me. She said she'd kill me. And Alex… he almost…"

Her words faltered as tears rolled down her cheeks.

Adrian's eyes darkened with rage, his jaw clenched.

 "He dared to touch you?"

She nodded. His fist slammed softly against the table.

"I swear, they will rot in jail. No one touches what belongs to me."

He reached across, gently wiped her tears, then pulled her into his chest. She sobbed softly as he whispered:

"But that's not the main reason we're here."

Taking her hand, he led her further down the garden path. At the far end, gleaming in the sun was a helicopter, its blades still.

Talia gasped her eyes wide.

(half-laughing, half-crying): "Adrian, you're making me go insane with surprises!"

He grinned softly.

Adrian:"You haven't seen anything yet."

The helicopter lifted off, soaring into the bright blue sky. Talia marveled at the view, giggling nervously as Adrian distracted her with conversation. Then, suddenly, he pointed.

"Look down, Talia."

She leaned over and gasped. On the vast green field below, roses had been arranged to form the words:

"WILL YOU MARRY ME?"

Her hands flew to her mouth, tears spilling as she shook her head in disbelief.

Talia (crying):"No… no, Adrian… this is unreal…"

When she turned, she saw him on one knee inside the helicopter, holding out a sparkling diamond ring.

Adrian (voice breaking): "Talia… I can't do life without you. Please, marry me."

Sobbing with joy, she nodded quickly.

Talia (shouting): "Yes! Yes, Adrian, I'll marry you!"

He slid the ring onto her finger, and she leapt into his arms, hugging him tightly as laughter and tears blended together.

The helicopter soared higher into the golden afternoon, the world stretching beneath them — two hearts bound forever.

The afternoon sun poured warmly into the living room as Talia stepped through the door, her red dress still glowing against her skin. Her mother and father rushed to meet her, already curious about the day.

Her mother noticed the sparkling diamond on her daughter's finger and gasped, covering her mouth.

"Talia! Oh my goodness—don't tell me…"

Talia burst into laughter through tears of happiness.

"Yes, Mama! He proposed… Adrian wants us to be married, and he's already fixed the date!"

Her parents froze in shock for a moment, and then the entire house erupted into joy. Her father lifted her into a hug, spinning her around while her mother clapped and danced, tears running down her cheeks.

Her Father:"My daughter is getting married into greatness!"

Her Mother:"This calls for celebration—we must begin preparations at once!"

Within days, the house became a bustle of activity. Fabrics were chosen, lists were made, calls placed to relatives and friends. The anticipation of the wedding filled the atmosphere with joy and purpose.

One morning, in the middle of the planning chaos, Talia checked her email and froze, her eyes widening.

"Mama… Papa… come, quickly!"

They rushed to her side as she held up her phone with trembling hands. On the screen was an official email from Wolfe & Co.

"Congratulations, Miss Talia Brooks. The Board has unanimously approved you as the next CEO of Wolfe & Co."

She screamed in disbelief, dropping the phone on the table, her parents screaming with her. The three of them jumped, hugged, and cried, overwhelmed by double blessings—marriage and career destiny unfolding at once.

Her Mother (weeping):"Oh, my child… from janitor to CEO, look at what God has done!"

Later that evening, Adrian came to the house, casually leaning against the doorway with that familiar charm in his eyes. After congratulating her warmly and kissing her hand, he leaned closer, lowering his voice into a playful whisper.

Adrian (smirking):"You know… as much as I can't wait for the wedding, Talia… what I really can't wait for is the wedding night."

Her cheeks flushed red, but instead of shying away, she tilted her head with a mischievous smile, her eyes glinting with fire.

Talia (teasing):"Careful, Mr. Wolfe… I just might make you wait longer than you think."

Adrian's eyes widened slightly, then he laughed deeply, pulling her close while her parents in the background pretended not to hear, though her mother blushed and shook her head with a knowing smile.

The atmosphere was thick with laughter, love, and the promise of a grand future.
