Chapter 108 - Bai Ye Fears Cyberbullying

It was about a month ago that Bai Ye realized his senses had heightened to an unbelievable degree.

It started with his vision.

He could gradually perceive light outside the 380-780 nanometer range of the spectrum, light invisible to the human eye, like infrared and ultraviolet.

He could instantly identify color shades that even women found difficult to distinguish. He could even see the uneven pits on a needlepoint, as if using a microscope.

In his eyes, the whole world was full of imperfections. For several days, he was so uncomfortable that he couldn't even eat.

Fortunately, by controlling his focus and using methods like blurring his vision, he could return his eyesight to normal.

Next came his sense of touch, smell, hearing, and taste. These heightened senses were a huge burden for his daily life.

Even when speaking to ordinary people, he had to be extremely careful with even the most basic actions like breathing, moving, speaking, and even blinking, for fear of accidentally scaring them to death.

Right now, he could literally spit and make a dent in a steel plate.

Every day, he had to carefully control himself, or he'd get annoyed in an instant.

The biggest impact was on his hearing.

If there was even the slightest echo nearby, his brain could conjure the exact shape of the surrounding environment.

Now, he passively received sounds within a one-kilometer radius, even if he actively ignored them.

Because of this, he hadn't slept in the real world for a long time.

Whenever his old habits told him he needed to rest, he'd sink his entire body into the virtual space. Only there was absolute silence, and the only thing that could make a sound was his own body.

Fortunately, with the increase in his mental attributes and the accompanying physical mutations, his control over his body also surged.

With a physique attribute of 4.0, he could even control the rhythm of his heartbeat. He believed that once he reached the point of controlling his cells, this side effect would disappear completely.

However, before that, he needed to improve his living environment a bit, starting with resolving those annoying noises that occasionally entered his ears.

"Actually, I'm a little fragile psychologically. I'm a bit afraid of cyberbullying. Thinking about people online cursing me makes me unable to sleep."

Bai Ye said in an incredibly gentle tone, "So, since I can't sleep, let's all stay up all night together."

"This..." Kingpin hesitated, "To what extent do you want to expand this?"

"Of course, the entire internet. Important figures must be severely打击, while there are too many ordinary netizens for you to handle. Just pick a few hundred people and pay them a visit to offer some 'warmth'."

Even knowing how crazy Bai Ye was, Kingpin still gasped. This was a plan to offend the entire world, wasn't it?

Compared to Bai Ye now, Kingpin used to seem like a model citizen.

At least in the past, even though he did all sorts of bad things, he never challenged the public's moral bottom line, never dared to put those things out in the open.

But now, Bai Ye's demands were essentially broadcasting malice to the entire world, and the backlash would be the greatest.

'Damn, the thigh I found seems to be a lunatic.'

Kingpin felt a little uneasy, but he still gritted his teeth and said, "No problem, I will do as you instructed."

"Hmm." Bai Ye said indifferently, and casually hung up the phone.

He only mentioned this in passing, after all, they were just some guys spreading maliciousness online. What level were they, that he would do it himself?

Taking a step, Bai Ye felt the pulse of the earth beneath his feet through his shoes, lost in thought.

His strength would reach the limit of the hydraulic press tomorrow, so it would be better to go underground to train next.

After all, the pressure at the Earth's core reaches 3.6 million atmospheres, and even the outer core has a pressure of 1.36 million atmospheres.

The average pressure is over three thousand tons per cubic centimeter, and it's far enough from the surface that he can unleash his power without restraint, so it should be enough for him to train for a while.

As Bai Ye was thinking this, he saw Susan, looking a bit shy, walk out of the factory behind him: "Where are we eating next?"

"Just follow me, I know a good restaurant," Bai Ye said.

On the top floor of Stark Industries Tower, Tony Stark was sitting cross-legged on the sofa, circulating his Inner Power.

After seeing the effects of Inner Power, he had been spending his time on it lately.

"Knock, knock, knock." At this moment, a knock sounded at the door. Stark slowly opened his eyes and said lightly, "Come in."

The door opened quickly, and his assistant, Pepper, walked in.

"What's up? Don't bother me if it's nothing. I'm busy cultivating," Tony said slowly. He'd become a bit addicted to cultivating lately.

Pepper looked at Stark helplessly, as if she were looking at emperors who neglected their duties because they were obsessed with cultivation.

Ever since he'd gotten into Inner Power, the guy didn't even play with women anymore, making her wonder if Inner Power had some kind of emasculating effect.

"You've already skipped tonight's awards ceremony. Don't miss tomorrow's schedule," Pepper reminded him.

"What's on the schedule tomorrow?" Tony asked.

I knew he'd forgotten. Pepper sighed inwardly. "You have to demonstrate the latest missiles you developed for the military at the airbase in Afghanistan. Colonel Rhodes has already strictly requested your presence in the email."

"If you're not there tomorrow, you might see Colonel Rhodes flying a plane to our tower to find you."

"Show off the missiles? I have a vague impression." Tony nodded indifferently. "Alright, let's do that. Remind me tomorrow."

"No problem." Pepper nodded. As long as Tony was willing to move, everything was easy.

'It seems… Stark is going to Afghanistan tomorrow, which means the plot of Iron Man 1 is about to begin.'

Late at night, in the villa's room, Bai Ye thought to himself.

After thinking about the content of the Iron Man trilogy, Bai Ye slowly shook his head, deciding to ignore it.

After all, there was nothing useful for him, so he wouldn't get involved. Anyway, Stark could come back alive without him, so what was the point of him going?

"Bai, what are you thinking about?" Camilla's face was flushed, sweat soaked her fair skin, and she looked at Bai Ye, whose movements had slowed down, with confusion.

"Nothing, someone's sleeping, keep your voice down." Bai Ye reminded her, then reached out and covered Camilla's red lips, starting another round of poker.

Beside them, Susan, who was responsible for tutoring Bai Ye, had already wrapped herself in a bedsheet and fallen into a deep sleep, withdrawing from the battlefield ahead of time.

The night was still very, very long.
