Chapter 265 - As Easy as Eating and Drinking

Mutant!

Hearing this word, the girls surrounding Bai Ye's side slightly changed their expressions, and instinctively took a step back.

This term, which had appeared in the news a few days ago, made them feel scared and unfamiliar.

Before that, Mutant had always been a term on a classified list.

But just a few days ago, at the Paris summit, with the assassination of William Stryker, Mystique exposed herself in public.

From then on, the term Mutant officially entered the eyes of the world.

Especially at the summit, the hostility and cruelty that Mutants displayed towards humans, coupled with the official tacit approval, caused the public to directly associate this word with danger.

And at this moment, with the strong man's questioning, the people around again turned their eyes to Bai Ye.

Whether it was his flawless skin or his well-defined features, coupled with his long, flowing black hair, he was undeniably different from ordinary people.

He'd been too captivated by his looks before, but now that he'd calmed down, something felt very wrong.

Facing the Redneck's questioning, Bai Ye's smile didn't waver. He nodded and said, "Yes, I am a Mutant. Is there a problem with that?"

At these words, the crowd, which had previously retreated, subtly took a few steps back again.

"The news has been saying all along that all Mutants are dangerous individuals."

The Redneck's eyes held a hint of jealousy and disgust as he strode forward and grabbed Bai Ye's right hand. "You Mutant freak, come with me to the police station and turn yourself in."

With that, Bai Ye subtly shifted his right hand, evading the grab, his expression still gentle.

"Your gaze is a bit offensive, and I really don't like your choice of words."

Bai Ye grabbed the man's wrist and politely asked, "Could you repeat that, please?"

Seeing that this Mutant dared to fight back, a flash of anger appeared in the Redneck's eyes. His lips moved, and the next moment, pain surged from his limbs into his brain.

"Crack, crack!"

Bai Ye's hand was like a hydraulic press. With a gentle twist, he crushed the Redneck's right arm, the bones shattering, and red flesh and cold white bone exploding outwards.

"Forget it, I don't want to listen to you lowly pigs and dogs."

Bai Ye's tone was calm. With a raised hand, he again broke the man's limbs in the same manner. Blood spurted, causing the surrounding crowd to scream and flee.

In an instant, this place seemed to transform into a bloody slaughterhouse of hellish torment.

Looking at the blood-red ground and the roaring, pain-wracked man, Bai Ye smiled and gently patted his shoulder.

In just a moment, the wounds on the burly man, who had been bleeding profusely, stopped. The edges of the severed limbs became incredibly smooth.

The Redneck wailed, then realized he felt no pain in his body. However, when he came to his senses, he saw his limbs still lying nearby.

In other words, his body had become a complete human pig.

"Enjoy the rest of your life, which will require the care of others." Bai Ye smiled, stood up in the face of the man's terrified gaze, and walked away.

"You're a devil, a demon!" The Redneck shouted at Bai Ye, feeling despair at his impending fate.

But then, he noticed that Bai Ye's footsteps seemed to have stopped because of his words.

"I almost forgot about your sweet-talking mouth." Bai Ye suddenly realized, turned back, and gently brushed his hand over the man's face.

The next moment, his mouth was completely sealed, his lips seemed to have grown together, and his tongue inside his mouth had vanished.

Watching the other person's terrified expression, Bai Ye still smiled gently, waving his hand as if making a final farewell to their life.

After standing up, he looked up at the clear, azure sky and walked towards a deserted newsstand. The people inside had already fled because of Bai Ye's earlier actions.

He casually picked up a stack of newspapers and slowly browsed them. The headline read: "Faced with the Growing Threat of Mutants, a Statement Conference on Mutant Agreements Will Be Held in Washington D.C."

The subheadline still included comments, stating that a mutant assassination had failed and the perpetrator was still at large.

So it's this period. Is this... Days of Future Past?

Bai Ye's fingertips lightly rubbed the slightly rough edge of the newspaper, his gaze fixed on the words "assassination failed."

If this were the original trilogy timeline, the assassination would have succeeded.

The fact that the newspaper indicated failure meant that the timeline had been twisted.

In other words, Wolverine's consciousness had already traveled through time.

And if I calculate the time… Magneto should be… Bai Ye thought to himself.

Looking up, he saw a giant stadium rising into the sky in the distance, controlled by the old man, flying westward.

"Tsk… should I intervene?" Bai Ye pondered, then a shout came from afar: "Stop! You are under arrest! Put your hands up and surrender!"

Several police officers were aiming their guns at Bai Ye's head.

Their peripheral vision caught the Redneck wriggling like a reptile beside them, their hands tensed, as if they would accidentally fire at any moment.

Hearing the voices from the side, Bai Ye, who was deep in thought, didn't hesitate in his actions. As if swatting a fly, he casually waved his hand towards the police officers.

"Pshhh."

A gust of wind swept past, blood exploded, and these people were now only left with their legs still standing, their upper bodies vanished without a trace.

Just like eating and drinking, a few people were instantly killed while Bai Ye was pondering.

At this moment, Bai Ye was still pondering why his senses had chosen to guide him to this world, not even realizing that he had killed anyone.

Forget it, since I'm here, I'll treat it as a vacation.

Bai Ye finally made this decision. He looked up and saw a few policemen with only long legs.

"...Did I kill them?" Looking at the limbs, Bai Ye was slightly puzzled, then turned without the slightest remorse and flew in the direction Magneto had gone.

After all, the lives of these inferior people weren't as important as watching the show for the White Emperor.

If they're dead, they're dead. Is he supposed to have a feast before leaving?

A breeze blew by, knocking over the long legs of the policemen, leaving only the Redneck wriggling in despair.

While Charles was using his abilities to locate Mystique at the outdoor briefing outside the White House, the Sentinel Robots, which were there for demonstration, had already been secretly controlled by Magneto the previous night.

These Sentinels were now aiming their weapons at the people attending the meeting, then they fired!

"Rat-tat-tat-tat!"

The submachine guns on the Sentinels' arms roared, tearing up the ground, and blowing up cars.

Then, chaos...began!
