The charred remains of the monster hurl into the air with a beautiful arc, landing onto the ground a couple meters away from me.
"Oops. These guys really have gotten the rough treatment from me since I got here, huh?" I say to myself, walking over and storing the corpse of the wolf in my inventory.
'Still though, I didn't expect my magic to be this strong, though I guess I should have, my magic stats are multiple times higher than the average level one Awakened thanks to the System.'
I glance at my status, taking note of the XP having increased by 200, and my mana having been depleted by around 450 points.
'This means that at max mana I could theoretically fight and kill 17 of these level 2 wolves before running out of mana...'
Feeling a boost in my confidence and a surge of excitement at how fun and easy this has been so far, I sit down, use [Meditate] to cap up my mana, and continue searching for more monsters.
Before long, I come across a group of 4 Fang Rats.
Fang Rats have very few differences from regular rats, aside from the size, and their elongated, saber-like fangs.
The smallest of them is the size of a smaller wolf, while the largest is almost the size of a bear. Judging by their formation, I'd guess the largest one is their leader.
I quickly cast [Fireball] towards the largest one 3 times in succession, before sprinting towards the smallest one, which happens to be closest to my location.
The fireballs hit the largest, and it shrieks in pain, alerting it's brethren to the ambush.
Not long after the spells hit, I arrive as well, slashing my Mana Imbued dagger towards it's eye, delivering a clean strike and impairing it's vision.
As the Fang Rat in front of me reels back in pain, the other three swarm towards me, large protruding fangs bared.
Casting another [Fireball] towards each of the uninjured ones, I close the distance with the largest Fang Rat, parrying it's fangs with my dagger, using the momentum to pivot towards it's sides.
I quickly use [Mana Imbuement] on my free hand, flattening it out like a sword, before thrusting it towards the monster's flank.
A squelching noise resounds as my Mana Imbued hand pierces into the beast's hide. I cast another [Fireball] from my hand, feeling the impact of the explosion on my Mana Imbued hand, noting a decrease to my hit points as I feel the searing pain assault my senses,
I quickly pull my hand out of the beast's flesh, spinning around to intercept the attack I heard coming from behind me.
Using the same hand that had no visible damage thanks to [Gamer's Constitution], I grab the fang of the incoming monster, using [Mana Imbuement] on my whole body as I brace myself, and use the beast's momentum against it to spin around and hurl it against the largest Fang Rat that was barely still alive after having an explosion set off inside it's body.
*Ding!*
[You have killed a level 3 Fang Rat]
[You have killed a level 1 Fang Rat]
The impact, alongside the damage sustained from my fireball earlier, cause the Fang Rat's demise, the force of it's body slamming into the largest beast killing that one off as well.
Turning around, I notice the other 2 coordinating a last-ditch effort to kill or incapacitate me before I do the same to them.
I begin casting [Fireball] one after the other towards them, not giving them any chance to resist their fates, not stopping my casting until I hear the kill notification.
*Ding!*
[You have killed a level 2 Fang Rat]
[You have leveled up!]
[You have killed a level 2 Fang Rat]
A flood of notifications come in as I wipe the blood from my dagger onto one of the corpses, before storing them all in my inventory.
I clean my hands with some hand sanitizer I bought at the store before pulling out one of the hot meals I had stored in my inventory this morning.
Making quick work of the food, I let [Well Fed] take effect and cast [Meditate], planning to heal up and refill my mana reserves before heading out again.
As I recuperate my resources, I check my status window.
"Status."

'6 stat points, huh? Typically people only get 2-4 depending on their class and tier, so 6 is quite good.'
After looking over my stats and watching my HP and mana go up with a satisfied grin, especially excited to have noticed the System's functions work on unallocated stat points as well, I check over my quest objectives.
[Quest Objectives]
[Kill 10 Gate Wolves: 1/10]
[Kill 10 Grizzly Hogs: 0/10]
[Kill 10 Razorfauns: 0/10]
[Kill 10 Fang Rats: 4/10]
'Not to shabby at all for my first hour or two...' I smile proudly.
Saving my unallocated stat points for now, I finish my rest and get back to the hunt.
Elsewhere in the dungeon, Government Agents could be seen panicking, frantically sending communications between each other and shouting orders across their camp.
"The Boss Monster escaped!" A man yelled frantically.
This specific camp had been set up by the government for their agents, with the purpose of keeping the boss monster alive and accounted for.
"I want every man, woman, elder, child, and even your god damn pet cats out on the search, and they're all to report back at any sign of the Boss Monster!" A woman could be heard angrily shouting through her wrist watch.
Rubbing her temples, the woman sighed.
"This is gonna be a fucking PR nightmare. I'm definitely getting demoted." She sighed again, eyeing the alcohol within the camp's provisions.
"No, as long as we don't allow any casualties, I could keep my position." She said, tearing her eyes away from the temptations and joining the search herself.
