The Naka Shrine was located within the Uchiha clan grounds, on the edge of Konoha village, adjacent to the Naka River and surrounded by a dense forest.
Danzō, with his eyes bandaged and holding a cane, stood silently in front of the Naka Shrine, his eyes closed in rest.
"Lord Danzō, Uchiha Mikoto has been brought," the Root ninja said, kneeling on one knee.
"Keep watch," Danzō said, opening his single eye, his tone flat.
"Yes."
The Root ninja vanished. Uchiha Mikoto stared at Danzō with her three-tomoe Sharingan, her heart on high alert, but on the surface, she bowed respectfully.
"May I ask why Elder Danzō has summoned me?"
"I need you to carry out a mission," Danzō said with a blank expression.
"Elder Danzō, I am no longer a ninja. I cannot carry out missions," Uchiha Mikoto said, neither servile nor overbearing.
A corner of Danzō's mouth curled up. "You must carry it out, and you must succeed," he said coldly.
"You may not care about your own life, and you may not care about the Uchiha clan, but do you not care about the lives of your two sons?"
