Chapter 233 - Uncertainty

Pulling the bowstring back, I took a long, deep breath and stared at the target, letting the draw weight of my bow work out my back muscles nicely while I searched for the next spot on the target to hit with another arrow.

Already there were five arrows sunk deep into the bundle of straw and sticks, and the plan was to sink a sixth into it before heading over and gathering them all up; the reason behind this was to test my accuracy, to hit the spot I wanted to hit based on changing factors.

I had done this thrice already, letting the first arrow fly at 'random' to dictate where the next five would go, and as such I was really feeling the burn in my muscles now; honestly, this might not be doing much for me in terms of my skill in archery, but it was definitely working out my muscles and getting me accustomed to doing lots of shooting, so to me it was worth it.
