Chapter 108 - Chapter 108: Vielvie

In one of his previous cycles…

Lucas, displeased with Theresa's abuses, used the Sleeping Tea tactic on her.

He planned to educate the unconscious Headmaster.

Unexpectedly… Lucas conceded defeat before even taking off his pants.

The second assault on Theresa began again.

Lucas didn't rest.

Monday early morning.

Lucas quickly dealt with Raiden Mei and Judah, then skillfully stole Homu uniforms from the Headmaster's side room. On his way home, he caught Sirin hiding in a trash can, petting her to greatly increase her affection.

He deliberately had Judah attract Night Valkyries to speed up progress with Sirin.

Judah was incredibly useful.

Daytime omitted. At 1 AM Tuesday, to acquire airtight bodysuits and oxygen tanks…

Lucas found Vielvie.

As a Previous Civilization's Thirteen Flame-Chaser, she specialized in mechanical engineering, creating God Keys.

The fifth-ranked Elysian Realm was schizophrenic, with multiple personalities.

Her hair, split into darker and lighter brown, illustrated this.

"Welcome to my theater, Binbin. Ready for a thrilling magic show?"

Under strong stage lights, Vielvie's tone was vibrant. She stared at Lucas with grey-pink eyes.

Like Mobius, Vielvie had a laboratory in the teaching building, but in an opposite position.

Unlike Snake Snake's lab, Vielvie's felt like an unconventional workshop.

A huge wooden stage stood in the center, surrounded by old, broken machines.

Lucas stayed silent, watching the woman in a magician's hat holding a magic wand.

Vielvie's attire was simple: brown and white, tight, revealing, with white covering her rounded breasts, the rest dark brown.

Unlike Mobius, Vielvie was flamboyant, craving attention.

In this setting, Lucas felt Vielvie seemed out of place, like a beautiful girl moving bricks on a construction site.

Her magic wand felt odd; a wrench or hammer would suit her better.

"What… Why isn't Binbin speaking? Opinion about my magic show?"

Lucas recalled Vielvie's Survival Rules.

First, don't watch her magic show; go on stage as her assistant.

Second, the performance must succeed, not fail.

Lucas paused. "Vielvie, no opinion about your show. I just… don't want to be an audience member."

"Oh? You want to perform with me?"

Vielvie put one hand on her hip, leaning forward, her overflowing granaries displaying powerful deterrence.

Vielvie's tight clothes, unlike Da She She's lab coat, made her bust stand out despite similar sizes.

Lucas fixed his gaze on Vielvie's face.

"That's right, I want to perform with you."

"Before you stands the greatest magician of the Twilight Era, creator of all escape magic. Binbin, can you keep up with my rhythm?"

Vielvie radiated confidence.

Her magic was abnormal, hard for Lucas to follow, but not impossible.

Ninety-nine cycles gave Lucas experience. He clenched his fist.

"No problem."

"Good, let's applaud Binbin onto the stage!"

Vielvie raised her arms, cheering.

Eighteen cannons emerged, spraying streamers, colorful decorations floating down.

Intense applause echoed from robots with glowing red eyes, focused on Vielvie.

Her mechanical army, unlike Destiny Organization's mechs, looked like monsters cobbled from junk: excavators, bulldozers, rice cookers…

Lucas confirmed the rice cooker robots could cook rice.

Under Vielvie and robots' gazes, Lucas walked onto the stage.

Conquering Vielvie was simple: complete a spectacular magic show together.

Vielvie handled the performance; Lucas just needed to survive.

Her shows could be deadly if careless, so he stayed cautious.

"Since Binbin chose to perform, let's play something fun."

"Magic show, Act One—Blade Escape. Hehehe… Tired of swords-in-box tricks, we'll break convention, surviving before everyone's eyes!"

Vielvie's face flushed with excitement.

Lucas closed his eyes silently.

"Act One is Blade Escape, huh?"

Vielvie's show had five acts; Lucas had to survive five performances.

With a snap, tall robots jumped onto the stage.

Blade Escape involved robots launching high-speed throwing knives.

Lucas's task: dodge them.

Not particularly dangerous; even if hit, knives usually weren't fatal.

But Lucas couldn't be hit once, or the performance failed.

Vielvie would kill him if it failed.

In a past cycle, Lucas died—not in Blade Escape, but for other reasons.

"Binbin, ready?"

Vielvie touched Lucas's chest with her black magic wand.

Lucas glanced at the robots' positions.

"I'm ready."

Vielvie smiled, stepped forward, blew a fragrant breath in his ear. "I hope you satisfy me."

Lucas fearlessly squeezed Vielvie's slender waist.

"I will satisfy you."
