Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Supreme-Grade Potion

"Medicinal residue?"

Upon hearing the man's words, Wang Ruoxie's expression also turned cold. The previous reception was already quite unfriendly, and now this steward was even more excessive, claiming the potion he concocted was mere medicinal residue.

Though due to various constraints, the potion he mixed was the worst in the Celestial Realm, a Body Tempering Potion that even ordinary people wouldn't use. However, in Wuyi County, and even the entire East Victory Kingdom, it could be considered the top tier of Body Tempering Potions.

"Based on what do you claim my potion to be medicinal residue?"

Wang Ruoxie looked at the man indifferently and spoke.

"Humph, still not giving up? Fiery Sun Grass may just be a lower-grade Yellow Level Spirit Herb, but its property is extremely yang. Even those in the Energy-Introducing Realm find it hard to endure. If used by someone within the Body Tempering Realm, it wouldn't just fail to fortify the body, it might cause them to explode to death."

The man snorted coldly, "Calling it medicinal residue is already polite. Otherwise, calling it a life-threatening poison wouldn't be too much."

"So, your Medicine Hall is unwilling to do business with me. If that's the case, forget it. I hope you won't regret today's decision later on."

Wang Ruoxie couldn't be bothered to argue further and turned to leave the Medicine Hall. Wuyi County had more than just this one Medicine Hall. Though others might not match its financial resources, a cooperative attitude was more important.

He believed it wouldn't take long for this guy to deeply regret today's foolish behavior.

"Ignorant fool, daring to try to deceive my Hundred Herbs Hall. If not for his decent attire, I'd have beaten him out long ago."

Watching Wang Ruoxie's back, the man spoke coldly.

After leaving the Hundred Herbs Hall, Wang Ruoxie continued walking forward and soon arrived at another Medicine Hall with a sign reading "Jisheng Hall" on the door.

The decor of Jisheng Hall wasn't as luxurious as the Hundred Herbs Hall, and there weren't many people coming in and out, suggesting that business at Jisheng Hall wasn't going well.

Without hesitation, Wang Ruoxie walked directly into the Medicine Hall.

He discovered that the steward of this Jisheng Hall was just a young girl about his age. Of course, this didn't necessarily mean anything, but he didn't expect that such a young girl was already managing a Medicine Hall, showing she must be quite capable.

Although business at Jisheng Hall wasn't good, it likely wasn't due to the young girl's mismanagement. Instead, it seemed there wasn't much in the way of noteworthy potions or even slightly precious Spirit Herbs.

Even that so-called Master Zhao's Medicine Hall was in better condition than this one.

"Honored guest, welcome! May I know what you're looking to purchase?"

The young girl gave Wang Ruoxie a slight smile, with a rather courteous attitude.

"I'm here to discuss a business deal with you."

Wang Ruoxie assessed the young girl and then smiled.

Though the girl's attire was simple, it couldn't hide her stunning beauty, even Luo Yuxiu paled in comparison.

"Sir, my name is Ling Xiang. What kind of business would you like to discuss?"

The young girl looked at Wang Ruoxie with curiosity and asked.

"Body Tempering Potion."

Wang Ruoxie replied.

"What quality?"

A glint flashed through Ling Xiang's eyes as she asked again.

Even though potions couldn't compare to real pills, if of high quality, their effects were still remarkable and naturally valuable.

"Top Grade."

Wang Ruoxie responded with a calm smile.

Hearing this, Ling Xiang's pupils shrank. Whether potions or real pills, there are quality distinctions even within the same tier, divided into ordinary, exquisite, top-grade, top-grade, and divine grade.

Keep in mind, even a real Pill Master would only generally concoct a potion of top-grade level at most, yet the young man before her, who appeared her age, claimed to have a top-grade potion.

Even if it's just the most basic Body Tempering Potion, once it reaches top-grade level, its potency could rival a genuine Tier One Body Tempering Pill. As for divine grade, it resides solely in legend; at least in Wuyi County, neither divine-grade potions nor pills have ever appeared.

"Sir, are you sure it's top-grade?"

Ling Xiang pressed down her excitement, gazing intently at Wang Ruoxie as she questioned.

"Yes, nine portions in total."

Wang Ruoxie nodded. If he hadn't concocted them so hurriedly, he could have easily reached the divine grade with these potions.

However, for him, the potions were merely transitional. Once he breaks through to the Energy-Introducing Realm, he can start creating real pills, at which point his cultivation speed will drastically increase.

In his previous life, besides Martial Arts, he dabbled in alchemy, artifact refining, inscriptions, arrays, music, chess, calligraphy, and painting.

After all, as the Celestial Emperor's son, he couldn't be akin to ordinary people, lest he disgrace his identity.

With that, Wang Ruoxie took out all nine portions of potion and placed them on the counter.

Ling Xiang carefully picked up one bottle, observed its color, then brought it close to her nose for a gentle sniff. She then said to Wang Ruoxie with some excitement, "Truly a top-grade potion. Although I can't tell what herbs you used or what its efficacy is, I'm certain it's a top-grade potion."

"This girl's eye is sharp."

Wang Ruoxie nodded silently; her discernment was leagues ahead of the Hundred Herbs Hall's steward. No wonder she could manage a Medicine Hall at such a young age.

"How much do you wish to sell these potions for?"

Ling Xiang took a deep breath, endeavoring to calm herself. She knew well what these top-grade potions meant for her and Jisheng Hall.

She too practiced Martial Arts, and a single top-grade Body Tempering Potion could reduce half a year's hard work, potentially allowing her to push into the late stage of the Body Tempering Realm before the hunting contest.

Moreover, although there aren't many potions, each is top-grade. If handled well, Jisheng Hall's reputation could climb several levels, attracting a surge of business.

"Two thousand silver per portion."

Wang Ruoxie offered a price that caused a slight furrow in Ling Xiang's brow, not because the price was high.

In fact, it was quite the opposite, lower than the average market price. Yet, nine portions of top-grade potion in total required eighteen thousand silver, which Jisheng Hall couldn't afford.

"I'm sorry, sir, but Jisheng Hall can only afford five portions at most."

Ling Xiang said with a distressed expression. Ten thousand silver was Jisheng Hall's limit, and even then, she had to pool all her savings to make it.

"No worries, the remaining four portions can be consigned at your Jisheng Hall."

Wang Ruoxie smiled slightly. He had anticipated this. Jisheng Hall's financial resources truly couldn't rival those of the Hundred Herbs Hall.

Pausing briefly, he continued, "Moreover, you only need to give me five thousand silver, and the remainder I wish to exchange for medicinal herbs. If Jisheng Hall doesn't have them, please help me acquire them."

After speaking, Wang Ruoxie asked Ling Xiang for a pen and paper and wrote down the herbs he needed.

"Sir, your handwriting is beautiful."

Ling Xiang complimented. To her, the boy's writing was prettier than that of calligraphy masters, seemingly imbued with a special aura.

Wang Ruoxie chuckled silently, thinking to himself, "Writing isn't just for show."

"Rest assured, sir, I will do my utmost to procure these herbs for you."

Ling Xiang earnestly promised Wang Ruoxi.

"You won't regret partnering with me, and this is merely our first step. I will concoct more potions, with quality no less than today's."

Wang Ruoxie gave a slight smile, speaking.

"Jisheng Hall will not disappoint you, sir."

Ling Xiang's face lit up with delight. If there was a continuous supply of top-grade potions, Jisheng Hall would surely rise rapidly, perhaps even surpassing a century-old establishment like the Hundred Herbs Hall; it was just a matter of time.
