"That's right, it's this guy. Last time he chased me pretty badly," Bennett said, showing a stress reaction to the monster.
With a low growl from the Rifthound, several more identical monsters appeared.
Their elements varied, with some being Electro, some Pyro, and some Geo.
But what they all had in common was a rather malevolent aura, and they looked incredibly powerful, not the kind to be easily provoked.
It's well-known that the monsters in Mondstadt generally have weaker strength.
So, the appearance of such a group of monsters would greatly affect the nearby ecosystem.
"Whoa, such a big one?" Xavier couldn't help but exclaim, looking at the Rifthound in front of him.
They didn't feel big in the game, but in reality, these Rifthounds were enormous.
And these guys could float in mid-air, which made them even more imposing.
Small Rifthounds were about the size of an ordinary wolf, but large Rifthounds were bigger than lions.
"Hey, Xavier, you're not going to tell me you can't beat this guy, are you?" Amber asked, hearing Xavier's words.
Xavier rubbed his nose and chuckled, "How could that be? It's just my first time seeing one, so it's a bit novel."
"Everyone, prepare for battle! Don't get distracted!"
Eula picked up her greatsword, ready for anything.
The others also entered combat stance, preparing for a fight to the death.
Even the wolf pack brought by Razor all hunched their bodies.
However, just as everyone was incredibly tense, a fierce gust of wind swept through.
Even these powerful Rifthounds couldn't resist the gale and were all swept into the eye of the storm.
Everyone was a bit dumbfounded, looking at Xavier, not expecting him to be truly that powerful.
"Oh my god, Xavier, you're actually so strong! Why didn't I realize it when we were on Blue Star?" Bennett exclaimed, clenching his small fists.
Xavier tilted his head back, proudly saying, "Because fighting isn't allowed on Blue Star. Fighting results in fines and even jail time!"
This reason sounded a bit absurd, but it was so true.
"You stole all the thunder. I'll remember this grudge."
Although Eula said this, her movements didn't stop at all.
"Frost, sever all grudges!"
Her greatsword suddenly became covered in Frost, and countless forces of snow and ice, mixed with the strong wind, roared away.
Even though these Rifthounds were incredibly powerful, they couldn't escape Xavier's storm at all and could only let Eula's Frost cut them down.
In just over ten seconds, these monsters were buried in the snowstorm.
"Good, amazing, thank you, all of you," Razor said, thanking Xavier and the others after he reacted.
Even the wolf cubs behind him exchanged glances, probably not expecting this human to be so strong.
"It's nothing, really. Even if more came, I wouldn't feel any pressure," Xavier said, not being modest at all.
Amber checked the battlefield and found no issues.
She then returned to report to everyone, "I just checked, and there shouldn't be any more monsters nearby."
"But this doesn't seem quite right," Barbara said, a little worried. "Acting Grand Master Qin mentioned to me before that this place is very dangerous. If there were only a few of them, it shouldn't be taken so seriously."
Razor sniffed his nose, his face solemn, "Indeed, there are more."
Xavier was a bit puzzled. No matter how he looked, no more monsters appeared nearby, so how could there be other Rifthounds?
As he was thinking about this, Xavier suddenly noticed a strange light flashing not far away.
Looking closely, it seemed to be a spatial rift.
"So that's it!" Xavier finally understood what was going on.
Eula asked in surprise, "Xavier, do you already know what's happening?"
Xavier nodded and explained, "Rifthounds, like the Dragon Durin, are failed creations of Rhinedottir. They possess extremely powerful but incredibly evil strength, and they even have the ability to tear space."
"What? So these monsters are like Durin!" Amber's face was filled with panic.
As Mondstadters, they naturally knew how terrifying the evil dragon Durin was.
Back then, even Lord Barbatos and Stormterror had to work together to slay this evil monster.
Even so, there are still legends about it in the snowy mountains today.
It is said that the heart of this evil dragon has not completely died and still beats within the snowy mountains.
In short, anything connected to a creature like Durin is certainly not a simple existence.
"Wait, I seem to feel an even more terrifying power!"
Although Bennett was unlucky, his vigilance was the highest.
Sure enough, just as his words fell, the small rift from earlier had now grown to over ten meters long.
Even though the creature in the rift hadn't fully appeared yet, everyone felt a terrifying aura.
"Woooo~"
A low whimper came from within the rift, accompanied by a substance like yellow sand.
Yet it was incredibly sharp, as if it could cut through a person's skull.
"Roar!"
With a roar, a colossal figure stepped out of the rift.
"Th-th-this, what kind of creature is this? It's too big!" Amber swallowed hard, unable to help but take two steps back.
Even the brave and skilled Spindrift Knight, Eula, felt fear.
"How could it be this guy!" Xavier's mouth dropped open, feeling like he was seeing things.
Barbara asked in surprise, "Xavier, do you know this monster?"
"No, this monster should be in Inazuma, why would it come here?" Xavier murmured to himself.
Of course he knew this monster, because it was the incredibly disgusting Golden King Beast!
But this monster shouldn't be here, right?
Perhaps this was the difference between reality and the game.
After all, the Golden King Beast's abilities were very peculiar; it could tear space and bring its pack of wolves to wreak havoc everywhere.
Perhaps it didn't only appear in the Inazuma region but occasionally wandered around.
This would explain why these Rifthounds appeared here.
"This isn't something we can handle, is it? How about we go back and discuss countermeasures with Acting Grand Master Qin first?"
Amber really didn't want to fight such a monster; the danger level was simply too high.
Xavier, however, didn't think so. He looked at the monster in front of him and sneered, "So what? Whether it's a wolf or a dog, I'm going to kill it today!"
Everyone didn't expect Xavier to have such courage.
Perhaps Xavier could really deal with this monster?
