"Yoimiya, aren't we being a bit too much? What if this guy gets scared to death?"
Xavier couldn't help but feel some sympathy as he watched Itto's retreating figure.
Yoimiya laughed, "Ha, this guy isn't as fragile as you think. He's just a bit timid."
Kuki Shinobu also agreed, "I think the boss really needs some training. Even if there's really something, I don't think it can hurt him."
Xavier felt that made a lot of sense. Itto wouldn't be unable to defeat a mere ghost, right?
After the assignments were complete, Xavier followed behind Shenhe with Furina.
Furina clutched Xavier's sleeve the whole way, looking around nervously and trembling all over.
"I say, Furina, aren't you very scared? Why are you still looking everywhere? Aren't you afraid of seeing something unclean?"
Furina shivered and immediately said, "I… when was I scared? I'm just observing my surroundings, trying to help you find what you're looking for!"
Xavier saw through her but didn't say anything, but Shenhe was very direct.
"People only look around nervously when they are scared, because they are afraid something will suddenly appear."
"Conversely, only when one fears nothing will they not pay attention to their surroundings, because they won't feel anything can threaten them."
Lies don't hurt people; the truth is a sharp blade.
Shenhe's words left Furina completely unable to retort.
Furina stopped pretending, stomping her foot and saying, "Alright, I am scared, okay? No one has ever seen ghosts, especially ghosts on Blue Star."
"What if they're fierce and evil, and their heads are separated from their bodies? I don't believe you wouldn't be scared!"
Xavier couldn't help but burst out laughing, "Hahaha, if you're scared, then be scared. Why pretend you're not? Does pretending make you brave?"
Furina's face immediately turned red, and she stomped her feet several times.
For someone with Furina's tsundere-like personality, admitting she was scared was harder than ascending to heaven.
And for her, it was an extremely embarrassing thing.
However, Furina quickly thought of a way to comfort herself: "Hmph, although I am indeed a bit scared, I'm sure I'll be much better than Itto and Xiangling!"
What Furina said was not without reason, because Xiangling on the other side was also trembling.
She stood between Xingqiu and Chongyun, with Yanfei and Xinyan on her left.
Xinyan comforted her, "Xiangling, you don't have to be so scared. With Chongyun here, there won won't be any problems."
Xiangling's biggest advantage over Furina was her honesty.
She trembled and said, "But I feel really scared, and things like Feng Shui, they just sound very scary."
Chongyun explained, "Feng Shui was originally formed naturally, but later through research, it could be artificially altered, meaning there are good and bad aspects. It's not what you think."
"Even if you say that, this place must be the bad kind, right? I heard Hu Tao say before that some evil geomancers raise little imps, and they raise a whole bunch of them, specifically to eat human flesh and blood. It's very scary!"
Yanfei tilted her head and said, "That sounds like a lie."
Xingqiu, however, offered a contrary opinion: "That's not true. I've read in ancient books that such evil methods did exist, but they've merely died out."
Chongyun nodded, "That's right. Our clan, as well as other orthodox geomancers, are not only responsible for slaying demons and monsters but also for eradicating such people."
"It's over, it's over! I knew what Hu Tao said was true. If we encounter such evil geomancers, we're definitely doomed!"
Upon hearing that Hu Tao's rumors were confirmed, Xiangling's legs trembled with fear.
But thankfully, her friends were there to comfort her, and having Chongyun, a geomancer, around, provided some solace.
However, Itto on the other side was in a much worse situation.
Soon after setting out, Itto already regretted it.
"Damn it, This Daddy, shouldn't have agreed to Yoimiya's bet."
"Even if This Daddy, didn't agree, I'm still the gang leader of Hanamizaka!"
"That's right, this must be the legendary reverse psychology. Yoimiya is too despicable!"
Itto was very angry, feeling that it was all Yoimiya's scheme.
"Whoosh!"
A cold wind blew past Itto, who immediately shrank his neck and started seeing enemies everywhere.
"What was that?!"
He immediately turned his head to look, feeling as if someone was staring at him.
"Hmm? Oh, it's just a paper doll. It scared This Daddy, to death…"
Itto breathed a sigh of relief, thinking someone was really staring at him.
But upon closer thought.
"Wait, why would there be a paper doll in a place like this, and it's so scary!"
Itto's scalp tingled, and he didn't dare to look back.
Why would anyone place a paper doll by the roadside for no reason?
Something was wrong, definitely something was wrong.
So Itto quickened his pace, trying to get away from the paper doll.
After walking quickly for a few minutes, Itto glanced back out of the corner of his eye and found that the paper doll was still following him.
"Help me!"
Itto could no longer care about his pride and immediately took off running.
But the paper doll was as if it had a navigation system, following him wherever he went.
"Is it here? No, no, it can't be here."
"Then is it here?"
"Huh? Why is it a pile of dog poop? This makes me so mad!"
Kaveh on the other side was constantly searching for the so-called suppressive object, but he couldn't find it at all.
Instead, he found a pile of dog poop, which made him feel very unlucky.
Alhaitham, who was beside him, finally couldn't help but ask, "You can look for things, but can you talk less?"
Kaveh immediately retorted angrily, "What's wrong with me talking? Who says you can't talk when looking for things?!"
Alhaitham was about to mock him when he saw a figure rapidly running towards them.
"Are there really ghosts? I didn't expect ghosts to be so fast."
Cyno extended his hand, and a long spear appeared in it.
"Help me!"
Just as he was about to make a move, he realized it was Itto.
However, what was somewhat eerie was that a paper doll was following behind Itto.
"Help, quickly save me!"
When Itto saw someone ahead, he was incredibly moved, as if he had found his savior.
"What, there really is a ghost? Run!"
Kaveh was also frightened by this scene and likewise took off running.
And so, the two of them were like participants in a long-distance running competition.
One moment he was ahead, the next moment he was ahead.
After running for an unknown amount of time, they circled the area once.
When they returned in front of Alhaitham and the others, Alhaitham swung his long sword, and the paper doll actually stopped.
"Hmm? It stopped. Do ghosts get tired too?" Itto was very puzzled.
"Didn't you notice that your foot was tangled in the paper doll's string?"
Alhaitham spoke with his eyes closed, as if he was experiencing a bout of idiocy-intolerance.
