"You're here to pick me up?" Kurokawa Saki asked in a casual tone.
"Rum told me to pick you up since we'll be working together for some time. But you sure are taking your sweet time." Amuro Toru replied with a sneer. If it was not because of the order, he would not be willing to be here to do a mission with Sake.
Rum messaged him, saying that he had to watch over Sake no matter what. As for what to watch for, Rum didn't say much but Amuro Toru could guess. It should be because Sake's power is growing very quickly.
He heard that Sake did an excellent job in Kanagawa not long ago.
She directly turned the entire city into her territory, which scared Rum so much that he wanted to send people. But the people he sent never returned, which showed how powerful Sake is.
Amuro Toru was really angry at these people's action of turning these cities into their territory game, but he could only be patient. Rum didn't tell him the trade lines here either, so he couldn't get involved directly. Because he was not familiar with Sake, he had to buy a lot of information before coming here.
But the information he could get is still very limited.
His impression is limited to the Sake who killed people without hesitation in the US back then.
A dangerous person.
Moreover, there's not enough evidence against Sake.
Midori Yuki's record is clean and the only thing he could be sure of is that he's Sake.
The word 'Kanagawa' reminded him of the case files that the Interpol asked back then, but when he found out that both Sake and Cava were in Kanagawa… he subconsciously hoped that the undercover would be Cava.
There was no evidence so far and he would not do any action that could possibly expose them.
There were also many other people involved in the Kanagawa turmoil, so Amuro Toru was not entirely sure.
He would not actively try to test them if there was no good chance.
After all, if his own identity got blown up, it wouldn't be worthwhile.
"There's nothing fun in going here quickly," Kurokawa Saki replied casually as she walked towards Amuro Toru's car. That Mazda's brand was indeed very eye catching…
To be honest, Kurokawa Saki felt that for someone who becomes an undercover agent, Amuro Toru's appearance truly attracted a lot of attention. How he managed to avoid people's eyes was something that she didn't understand how.
After all, he was not like Vermouth who could change her face all the time.
Eh forget it.
"It seems that Sake has a lot of information about me." Amuro Toru's eyes narrowed. Most intelligence personnel would keep their identity secret because they knew the importance of information. They would not let other people have their information, including the people in the organization.
"I don't think this much is a secret." Kurokawa Saki glanced over to Amuro Toru casually. She tilted her head and gave a fake smile. "Or do you think I'm blind?"
"No, no, of course not." Amuro Toru chuckled and walked to the driver seat.
After Vermouth, he ended up becoming Sake's driver.
