Chapter 99 - Crazy No. 10 (2)

Kurokawa Saki saw the message in the brain chat channel and sighed deeply.

Every single one of them came from a completely different life and basically gathered into this world without actually knowing each other. That's why they couldn't trust other people completely.

And now, no. 10 had basically torn the layers that they have been trying to maintain. Respecting each other and not prying into their past and so on.

He sounded crazy, but it was obvious that he was someone who didn't believe in the goodness of the world.

Ahhh

It's really troublesome.

The good thing is that they didn't have to deal with him for at least a month's time. But who knows what will happen afterwards?

Many of their abilities are bizarre and sometimes a bit overpowered.

In a way, if they truly wanted to, it was not impossible for them to destroy the world. It would even be easier than maintaining it like what they had done so far.

…This is why education is necessary.

Otherwise, people have some kind of strange ideas and will try to achieve it.

Their talent, in a way, is a kind of superpower. Giving it to people can cause them to be consumed by it and might lose themselves.

This is why Kurokawa Saki always asked for the ghost's opinion when she wanted them to cooperate with her. So that she could remember that they were all human beings and not just some tools that she controlled because of her ability.

Even then, there were times when Kurokawa Saki was so emotional and lost control of herself for a bit.

She's not perfect, she knew.

It's difficult.

To stay here and to fight for it… it's not easy.

"Saki?"

"Aunt Kira?" Kurokawa Saki responded.

"I was worried about you." Aunt Kira gave a kind and soothing smile to her, similar to what Kurokawa Saki showed to Ai not long ago in that building.

"I'm fine, Aunt Kira… I just met a lunatic and… I don't like it." Kurokawa Saki smiled bitterly.

Aunt Kira sighed and patted Kurokawa Saki's shoulder tenderly. "You can't force your view on others. Sometimes, it's useless to argue with people like that, so you can just let them reflect on yourself. A police officer is not responsible for other people's mental health. There's a psychiatrist for a reason."

Kurokawa Saki blinked her eyes and hummed in a low voice.

"I know, I just felt… it's a pity."

If he had been able to see the wider world and not being consumed with his thoughts, he would see that everyone was working together to fulfil their goals and missions.

But he seemed to be unable to see it.

He just felt that his freedom was restricted.

Everyone is restricted for the greater good and… it's better not to think that you're the most miserable one. Because that kind of thoughts will only consume yourself and make you unable to take a step forward.

Wallowing in self pity… in the end, you basically did nothing to change it.

Since you yourself didn't even work for it, why should others work for you?

Kurokawa Saki sighed.

"Would you like to talk about it?" Aunt Kira asked. She was not entirely sure what would make Kurokawa Saki feel better.

"No need, Aunt Kira. It's enough." Kurokawa Saki smiled. "Sorry for worrying you. I'm going to find something to eat."

"Hiromitsu had already prepared some food. You can eat them." Aunt Kira smiled back.

"That's a good idea." Kurokawa Saki nodded and walked out of her room quickly.

Seeing that, Aunt Kira chuckled lightly.

It was the cleanup scene.

Megumi Aiko was busy with her own things and the investigation of the case was clearly not over yet. There were still many things that she had to do.

*sigh*

Another day of overtime work.

Meanwhile, no. 8 cleaned up his sniper rifle and left directly.

But before he got far, Akai Shuichi had already blocked his path.

Josh Parker: "..." Where did you get the information of my whereabouts?

It seemed that he came here too early and this made the sharp FBI suspicious.

Tsk.

He felt that his brain was not good enough to deal with this powerful FBI.

Even though he was clearly not stupid, these people were all at the ceiling of both IQ and forces. It wouldn't be easy to deal with them.

"It's not your business, Akai Shuichi," Josh Parker said without hesitation.

"Mission report." Akai Shuichi was direct and stared straight at Josh Parker.

Josh Parker frowned. "I'm not your subordinate."

They belonged to different teams.

Besides, the two of them couldn't really get along with each other and they would only end up fighting with each other.

"From now on, you'll be in my team," Akai Shuichi said without hesitation.

Josh Parker frowned and he looked at Akai Shuichi as if he was looking at a strange person. "What do you want?"

"Mission report."

Mission report?

Was his actions today so conspicuous? He had purposely bugged Megumi Aiko, allowing him to be able to hear their investigation results.

Even though he knew Megumi Aiko was stupid and didn't expect too much, he could still come to the conclusion that the target still had someone he wanted to kill.

After that, he used his FBI connection to search the whereabouts…

Oh.

It seemed that this was the action that exposed him.

Josh Parker was annoyed, but his special skills were not related to information gathering. He had to use other methods to make sure that he obtained the right information.

Otherwise, it would be impossible for him to be here and set up an ambush in advance.

His main skills are not necessarily sniping.

But it was clearly one of his best ones. After all, his skills mostly lie in shooting, sniping included.

He had special abilities and never bothered to hide it.

"With your ability, I don't think you'll need me," Josh Parker said without hesitation.

He was sure that Akai Shuichi could handle everything on his own without the need for him to step forward and help. And it was not like the FBI didn't have anyone else.

"But your actions are dangerous." Akai Shuichi only found out that Josh Parker got involved with the Black Organization again after he saw the clumsy bartender coming into the building.

This could be done through reviewing the surveillance cameras.

Though, most of them had been destroyed in advance and it took some time for the FBI to obtain the necessary information.

But it's still possible to find Josh Parker.

After all, his hacking skills were limited and he was better at fighting and analysing cases. This was different from the US he was familiar with, so Josh Parker made some mistakes.

"I can handle…."

"The investigation overlaps and James would deport you back if you didn't follow."

A threat.

Josh Parker's words stuck in his throat and he sighed deeply.

He should have known that he wouldn't be free forever.

Tsk, the FBIs are annoying.

At this moment, he decisively excluded himself among the FBIs members.

"Fine." Josh Parker could only compromise.

While his actions would be somewhat restricted, he should also have the FBI backup. Not that he actually needed them most of the time.

After all, many FBIs in Conan's world are unsatisfactory in their work.

Tsk.

Josh Parker clicked his tongue and could only follow Akai Shuichi to their destination.

The incident passed by quickly and Kurokawa Saki silently wondered whether it would be the arc where Akai Shuichi will fake death yet or not.

To be honest, they were prepared to have Akai Shuichi interrupted their performance before, but he didn't appear at all.

In a way, it was actually a good thing.

And the other two people have received their new IDs.

It was quite noisy in the brain chat channel as they were adapting to their new identity.

[University Student [6]: Uuu, after working, now I'm back to school! Ahhhh, why do I have to study again when I have graduated in my previous life???

High School Student [2]: Welcome abroad as students, no. 6
